Why is the "Jezebel spirit" concept mostly in Charismatic, Pentecostal, WOF circles?

UMMM My question was directed towards Maggie because she was listing things like rebellion,etc which again the Bible does call sin. Please show me anywhere in the Bible there are demons called homosexuality,lust,greed,overeating,yelling at the TV because Brett Favre lost another game,etc etc.

UMM Perhaps God didn't list their names because it's unimportant because our focus is to be on Him and not demons?

I can't say why God did not include some details in the bible. The bible in some topics seems to be vague. For example the bible never mentions what age to baptise. Does that imply it is not important? I don't think so.

UMM What does what age someone is baptized have to do with God not telling us demons names? It is not important for us to know their names.

That is an example of how the bible can be vague on some topics but few would ever claim that the topics the bible is vague on are not important.

Good morning to you all. Why am I not able to get into the other sites:Is some one limiting my access? OR is my PC have a fit, sick, need the dr..? So. In the Providence of God, I am here,OK, with a new wife and a great ministry. WHY, such a terible life for me,a good christian, OK, I am a control freak, I am so dumb. with this thing. In the end, my wife died young,2007. my son turned homo. , and yrs later he was killed in an acc, at work , Rochester N.Y. 2009, He was saved by CPR, is alive but totally disabled today. My oldest boy never married , was once engaged to a Chinese lady, but her father forbade the marriage, that son has never married, I think it is the Jezabel S he fears All of 4 children will not allow me in their homes today..such tragedy! WHY? My 2 daughters married Have 2 kids and 1kid . their husbands despise me for talking of spiritual maters and contending for the faith. my one daughter and wife started it all. So you know, I hate Jezebels. I forbid my wife to preach or teach men. She ia a licensed C&MA pastora. I was defrocked by the C&MA in N.Y.. I hate second blessing preaching, The "crisis sanct." experience of the C&MA is of the DEVIL, most deeper life movements are of the Devil , all the discipleship teaching today, separated from the new birth experience is of the Devil. Jerry Falwel's sal. and discipleship was of the Devil., Jack wyrtzen's sal. and discipleship program was/is of the Devil. BUT, God, is using these false teachers to save His elect, I am one of God's elect, that was intro to Jesus by Jack Wyrtzen, BUT GOD saved me by the right truth, repent , trust and obey Jesus! I thank God for all those in my life who pushed me to study His Word and learn the whole truth. When will they see the Light? They have a good method ,teaching of discipleship, chuck Swintal is one of the best discipleship teacher today, I love the truths of discipleship he teaches, BUT< he is a heretic, because he separates it from sal. He makes sal. to be :faith alone"heresy" ! Do you see what I am complaining about? Sal. is not,"just trust Jesus as savior by faith and you are saved". NO WAY! This error has been around for a 100 yrs plus, and the church is almost dead. Because of a false sal. taught. for all the "good" discipleship teaching, the church is still dying.why? because 95% of pro.christian are still lost in sin. ("good"= good but bad) it is bad because it is a second blessing of grace separated from sal. djames, I hope you know ,now, what I am saying: Jimmy is just as much a heretic as you are. Just thought this was applicable to the thread. Jezebel was never a believer in God. Jezebel was not a teacher of scripture but a false teacher that lead people away from God and into sexual immorality and spiritual idolatry. The "Jezebel spirit" can be applicable to either a man or a woman. (not that I take much stock in anything found on the internet. . .this did line up with the word)

Perhaps the best way to define the Jezebel spirit is to say it characterizes anyone who acts in the same manner as Jezebel did, engaging in immorality, idolatry, false teaching and unrepentant sin.

To go beyond that is to engage in conjecture and can possibly lead to false accusations and divisiveness within the body of Christ.

Simply consider the CHARACTER of the person of Jezebel and even how the Lord accuses the church at Thyatira of tolerating...putting up with...the woman Jezebel. This was LOOOONG after the actual Jezebel was dead!! But it was that SPIRIT, the demon spirit operating in the actual Jezebel, that was now operating in the church at Thyatira!! A spirit, like that of Jezebel, like that of Pride, like those of greed, hate, homosexuality, murder, lying, licentiousness, etc are identified BY the behavior that they elicit in or through a person...the actions and behavior of a person can identify the demon that is working in or through them, oppressing them, influencing them.

The spirit of fear is mentioned several times in scripture as is the spirit of murder, hate, greed (consider Judas), and many others. People are born with a sin nature because of Adam. Unchecked, which is to say that a person remains unsaved, they are, in a nutshell, excellent tools for the demonic to operate through. A demon/evil spirit, MUST have a physical body to operate through. Humans are the vessels of choice, but they will use animals if necessary; consider Mark 5, Mt 8, 2 Kings 2:22-24
