This thread is similer to the other thread made for encouragment/QA but this thread is for wisdom of all kinds and if it happens to give hope and encouragement Prais god! I would welcome and encourage anyone who has wisdom to share but please let it be related to god and if possible the bible. I am not saying everything here has to be about the bible but i want no arguments or fights here.I first off would like to explain something about our faith. We cannot accept god in our lives until we are ready give up everything for him. That one addiction or the love of money can keep us from accepting christ. this may not be the case for all of us because everyone is different and has different issues. some may be able to accept the life of a christian better than others. But there is one thing we all have in common god created us to live a full life with him as our main focus. Even the most hardened criminals could turn out to be the most amazingly loving and trusting beleiver of god, No life is worth losing. Faith needs no proof, and can only keep growing. we ask god for increadable faith and i admit to sometimes getting impatiant, and telling god i want it now. but he always answers me the same way he tells me to stay strong and be patient. the thing is nowadays we are so used to fast track things. we frustrauted waiting in line, we want our computers to be faster, we get impatiant for a text from someone. so you see waiting is not easily attained these days. it goes against our human nature, and because we have certain flaws sometimes thing's like patience or love or wisdom may be harder to get than other things. But that is the beauty of it, god saw it would be more grand to use our imperfections to make us perfect. he knew before the world was created adam and eve would eat the fruit, but he had a plan all along to save us, and what was supposed to be the ruin of the world and to make us imperfect by the devil god turned a negitive into a positive. So the next time you think you are less important then someone else or you think you cannot possibly be someone great and rightous in the eyes of god remember he made you for such a divine destiny all you have to do is answer the call

what you can do to please god:Isiah43:7,21-bring to me all the people who are mine, whom I made for my glory, whom i formed and made. the people i made will sing songs of praise to me. 1st John3:22 And god gives us what we ask for because we obey god's commands and do what pleases him. Psams47:1 Clap you hands, all you people. shout to god with joy. Isn't it amazing how easy it is to please our god? If we set our hearts in pleasing god he will reward us. But of course we should not want to please him for the reward but because we know he is lord of all and that we love him. we can please him with just an honest prayer, The lord treasures an honest prayer. It also pleases him if we seek to gain wisdom so we might stay stong and keep our eyes on him. Proverbs is an amazing place for wisdom. of course praise and thanksgiving must always be given to god, and this also pleases him. so be sure to give thanks to god for all you have, obey his commands, worship him. Do this every day and this will please god very much, I also suggest reading some of proverbs today even if you have already read it. You can read that single book alone a hundred times and still get something new from it.

I also would like to mention what our goal in our spiritual growth is. I am sure many of you know already but it is to become more like Jesus christ. The new testiment is all about Jesus and how to live for him, he taught us how to care for others and to be his workers. But have you ever done something nice for someone and saw it as no big deal? because anyone good person would do it? even just a kind word of encouragement to someone and this is what Jesus has to say about that- I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was alone and away from home and you invited me into your house. I was without cloths and you gave me something to wear. I was sick and you cared for me. I was in prison and you visited me. Then the good people will answer ( Lord when did we se you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and give you something to drink? when did we see you alone and away from home and invite you into our house? when did we see you without cloths and gave you something to wear? when did we see you sick and in prison and care for you?) Then the king will answer ( I tell you the truth, anything you did even for the least of my people here you also did for me) Mathew25:35-40 Even i find it hard to believe that a simple good deed is a great favor to Jesus, but we become more and more like him the more we put ourselves last. Make your one goal today to live like Jesus lived. in every decision no matter how small ask Jesus (what would you do here Jesus?) and he will answer trust me i have done this many times

There is a song by mercy me that relates to this. it s called the generous mr.lovewell. part of it says
"hey, mr.lovewell/ doin a day what u do every day/ no meatter how small/ believen that its all the same/ come on, mr.lovewell/ oh we could use a few more just like u/ who care enough to give/ this life away..." jesus gave his life away in more ways than one.

I thought i could share this info with everyone, people ask sometimes how to tell if god speaks to us. This is an interesting question because as simple as the answer is it is not always easy to understand. God speaks to us all the time, through music or a picture even nature. I have found god speaks to me all the time through music but every now and then there is someone here on cc that says something and i can tell god is speaking to me. If you think god is speaking to you even just a little then he probably is. start listening to music and see if something pops up that makes you think he is speaking to you. Or maybe just look around and see if something pops up in your head. The more you practice the easier it gets, he doesn't say negative things and sometimes he speaks by putting a mental image in your head. this is especaily a useful skill when things are going bad, he will probably tell you to be strong or something.

proverbs 10:12 - hatred stirs up strife ; but love covers all sins
we all make mistakes in our relationships ;and the natural reaction to an offense is anger but if we want our relationships ;friendships to work we have to learn to apply love . not bitterness to the wounds we suffer

for those who read the encouragement thread do you remember the lesson of the ant? well here is another lesson from one of god's creations. It is a simple tree. Like a tree begining to sprout our relationship with god is the same. once we make our roots our faiith and closeness with god begins to grow as we read the bible, pray to god and obey his teachings. but if that tree doesn't get water and sunlight it withers away. the same is with our faith, not the water and sunlight but if we start to stop talking to god and reading his word and stop obeying his teachings we feel further and further apart from him. The sad part is it's very easy to start losing our desire for god, we easily get distracted by our daily lives. I am guilty of this and after a while i desperately want him back. That is because our soul knows how we need god and after a while we feel guilty because we have left god behind, our soul craves him not just us christians but everyone in the world. But people just try to satisfy that craving with other things, but of course nothing works. This is a very common teaching but we as humans never seem to learn this lesson do we? I once asked my chistian friend: if the devil knows how powerful god is why does he keep going against him, is he a moron? He replied with this; well the same reason we all go against him. I felt really stupid because everyday i go against god by ignoring the holy spirit telling me not to do this or that and yet i want that sugar so bad i just do it anyways. I don't really do that particuler thing every day but we all go against god everyday. ouch... so do we freak out? do we get depressed? no all god asks of us is to pray for his help and try

For those who feel alone because their families are unbelievers, dont be discouraged. keep doing what your doing and the Lord will bring them in.
It may not look like it, but it is in his time. One plants, one waters, and God gives the increase. Trust him, he can also do a quick work.

Do not let me wander from Your Commandments!

Psa 119:10 With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your Commandments.

Psa 119:11 I have hidden Your Word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.

Psa 119:12 Blessed are You, O GOD; teach me Your Precepts.

Psa 119:13 With my lips I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth.

Psa 119:14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches.

Psa 119:15 I will think on Your Commandments and have respect to Your ways.

Psa 119:16 I will delight myself in Your Precepts; I will not forget Your Word.

The word of God is a powerful reminder of who God is, and what He commands His children to do, which isn’t a mere suggestion or something to try to do, but a strong warning to not wander from His commands and truth!
I am noticing many who really love God and His truth, spend a lot of time in defending and exposing many false religions and cults, such as the Mormons, JW groups, TBN, along with the Catholic and protestant faiths.
In my testimony, I came out of the church system several years ago, as to all the worldliness, and compromise in holiness, and seeing how the church would join forces with many false ministries that are ecumenical, and resemble the world more than the body of Christ.
But what I learned, and am seeing now is many Christians very aware of all these false and worldly ways, and defend against them, such as pagan holiday celebrations, baptismal regeneration, the Sabbath, osas teachers, marriage and divorce, and a huge list of other mixtures of the holy with the profane.
This is all a noble gesture, and it’s good to see many coming to realize just how messed up Christianity is today, but as in my case, many fail to see they are still under the lie in many ways.
This article isn’t about explaining every false teaching that has crept into the church pulpits today, but to awake those who see some errors in the system, but are still under the many reformed errors that are plaguing the church today.
Many will fight tooth and nail for holiness and separation, while they believe we are born sinners, Jesus took their place, and became their righteousness, aka imputation, or they hold to many Calvinistic teachings making stopping any sin optional and cannot see past the false saved IN sin, obedience doesn’t matter gospel.
They say they love the truth, they say they believe the word of God, and then fall short when it comes to defending against original sin, penal substitution,, osas, election, total depravity, which becomes a huge mess of error upon error, leading to a gospel that sounds holy and right, but is far from what the early church taught and died for.

They will reprobate us few in a heartbeat, if we tell them they are in great error when it comes to the basic doctrines of purity, sincerity and faith, while they fight against the Catholic church, blaming this church for all the problems in Christianity today.
God made it clear, we are to love His truth, which is His word, we are to hide it in our heart, meditate on it, live for it, and stand strong against all false ways, because you can fight all you want against the apostate church that is in great compromise with the world, and the false liberal gospel, but still be under the spirit of error, thinking you are doing a good thing while the truth that has been replaced with a lie is still held in high regard.
The big question then is, can a professing Christian, who has come out of the system, or is still in the system, but living a holy and separated life, have the spirit of truth dwelling in them, when they insist these reformed doctrines of men are the truth?
We are not to judge another’s heart in any way, but it is my contention to believe those who have an ear to hear, will seek truth about all these false errors, that teach you get saved IN your sins, God will clean you up, or repentance is an ongoing process, thus mixing in many more errors such as imputation, penal substitution, osas, election, total depravity, which becomes a huge mess of error upon error, leading to a gospel that sounds holy and right, but is far from what the early church taught and died for.
The gospel was simple before man got a hold of it, and turned it into a book of suggestions, and myths, because they refuse to dig deep through all the reformed errors and see they are still under the great delusion, unwilling to seek the truth diligently as God commands.
I write this to hopefully get the few who have come out of her, and are just waking up to all the lies and confusion, and for those who mock and condemn us few in the fight, I would pray you would lay aside your pride, seek the truth about these things, and then defend and contend earnestly as commanded to keep the word pure as David did in the Psalms, he loved the truth, may you also, and at least think outside the box. the truth is simple, repentance and faith proven by deeds, where the sin stops before pardon can be granted, and where Jesus offered Himself up as a spotless sin offering, not a sin replacement, where He came to set the captives free once and for all.
He didn't die to be our righteousness, or take our wrath, but to be an example and light to follow and obey less we be cut off!
So let’s keep the word and truth pure, by not only standing against the false religions, but also against all the reformed errors, that have made professing Christianity what is today, where you get saved a vile sinner, you remain in bondage to the lies that say you were born a sinner, Jesus thus is your substitute and covering, all your sins are pre forgiven, and where real repentance and faith is just a pipe dream and suggestion nobody can attain because they were created with a sin gene deeming them the Romans wretch and chief of sinners the rest of their lives!
Many today have wandered from the commandments of God, either intentionally, or by ignorance, and have been duped by the many wolves who claim peace, peace, when there is no peace, until the word is kept pure and undefiled from the errors that have plagued it today, there will be many divisions in the body, where truth and error meet head on leading many into a false conversion still in bondage to the lies and their so called sin nature.
2Th 2:10 And with all deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie
Tommy

I ran across some scripture that really spoke to me i think you will like it -colossians3;16-17 Let the teaching of christ live in you richly. use all wisdom to teach and instruct each other by singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to obey god. everything you do or say should be done to obey Jesus your lord. And in all you do give thanks to god the father through Jesus. This scripture made me think of some things one is about my favorite subject wisdom. I have seen what the words of the wise can do, but the words of a moron only cause trouble. The wise never start an argument but end them, the moron feels the need to be proven right. I have seen these morons here in cc. they argue and quarrel about things they know nothing about. they pretend to be rightous because they know scripture and they take delight in throwing it at each other. I have tried to reason with them telling them what they do is stupid and pointless. because they do not do this out of love but of pride. Does this remind you of some people in the bible? yes even the pharasee's did this thinking they were rightous. not all the people who tell scripture to others in the bible discussion forums are like these morons for they really do it out of love. I refuse to correct people using scripture because i do not have the heart, it is not my place to tell them what jesus tells them all the time. I am told as a christian it is what i am supposed to do, but no matter what anyone says i know what being a christian is, i am sry this will be kind of long and a pain to read but THIS IS IMPORTANT. i made them big to get the readers attention. This is what our relationship with god should be it should be - that of an inoocent child who snuggles up in his/her fathers arms as he smile down on the happy sleeping child and cannot help but have a loving tear slide down his compassionate face. this is what being a christian is about, not throwing scripture or correcting ppl it's all about a childlike Faith. That is what love is, and this is the relationship god desire for all of us. one last thing is thanksgiving to god. How often do we give thanks to god? NOT ENOUGH, he has given us so much and he blesses us over and over everday. How is this you ask? how is it that he blesses us everyday? well the most common one would think of is just to be alive, but that is not the stuff i am talking about, it's not just being alive to be thankful for. it is the blessing of today being a day where when the oppertunity rises i can give and help some one. we all pass the oppertunities everyday and if you have not seen any today you are not looking! i am not just talking about the homeless, be creative you could have a garage sale to raise money for the shelter i am sure you have old things you don't really need:b I am grateful everyday for being able to help and encourage people here in cc. When i inspire someone it makes my heart leap with joy. i take every oppertunitie give advice and encourage people here. for those of you who have heard my life's story you know why i cannot leave my house, for those who don't dont worry i wasn't in trouble it's a medical issue. yet i still find a way for god to use me. I truly hope this helps someone here don't forget to post so i can know i helped. and if i offended anyone i apoligize but i neede to be blunt

James 1:19 Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak...
James 3 - he talks about the taming of the tongue

The tongue can kill or heal.
I always have to remind myself of this verse because in the past, whenever someone upsets me and with my emotions in turmoil, I reply, it just comes out all wrong and actually hurts the other person as well. So it becomes evil with evil instead of good over evil
So now I just listen and bite my tongue. I ponder on it and wait and when my feelings are calm, then only will I speak. I ask the Holy Spirit to help me. At times, I don't because I find sometimes it is better to remain silent because I don't need to have the last word. Learning humbleness!:)
