Oh I have this photo of a baby robin that wouldn't let me get into my car until I picked it up and moved it...

Search for a mushroom led me to this purple beauty in the site below. I never knew there was so much diversity in this kingdom as well.

from 13 Most bizarre mushrooms : TreeHugger
which reminded me of a classmate's mother in elementary school. She was a professor at the university, a mushroom specialist, and i heard had a collection of mushroom figurines and what. That would have been nice to see.

these beautiful little caterpillars,
that were eating a bush in the yard a few days ago . . .

i think they will be a type of tiger moth -- a little white moth with black spots?
but they are beautiful now too :)

Sorry abt that... i have to delete some bookmarked stuff and realized i have posted those mushrooms before but missed the 5-min. limit. Anyway, arent caterpillars cute too? i saw the io moth caterpillar are 'quirky blobs of green with pom-pom spikes' and others that look like crawling cactus. Meanwhile on 3D, i wish this wasnt what i had to talk abt, but sometimes they just are there, the millipedes that gather in moist places i see in the morning. Had to step on a few dozen earlier or there'll be more if i dont. But do they stink.

Not to end this on stinky millipedes, i think i'll mention some of those courting butterflies, which are among the most graceful things to watch in real life.

I like it outdoors, but recently a millipede like this crawling on my toe had me freaking out too.

Sure u can, this vid says:

If that's too hard, you can start with a circle, make a ball, then progress to two circles, for eyeglasses....=). Let an amateur tell u how, when it took such effort and time to make those!

Very inspiring, Mar! Loved the story about those who had a stroke and also his final word about what else we limit ourselves from doing.

we have two bird-feeders right outside of our bedroom windows and often wake
to their lovely voices...we never tire of watching the bird-community as all of the
different species eat together at once...we see many human characteristics contained
in their behavior towards each other:)...but oh the beauty of their singing...

As a child, when i heard my father sing Mockingbird hill, i thought birds really sang-- like we do=).

Here, a dragonfly that comes to visit at times.
