Lol what? Are we talking about Ozzy again?

Lol I find it funny old people don't like other old people's music. Reminds me of my former uncle a big Rush fan talking about how in his day him and his clique hated the kids that listen to AC/DC and think they are white trash. I had to laugh because I like both Rush and AC/DC.

Lol if you want a trip into the millenial mind just listen to Eminem. Lol sadly I cannot post any of Eminem's songs here, but without a doubt Eminem is greatest living poet bar none. There's just no way to top Eminem's lyrical prowess, it cannot be done.
Again HUH or WTH:confused: You're the one knocking old peoples music.

Alice Cooper (Vincent Damon Furnier) was the one who used to bite the heads off chickens during his shows, and have snakes and stuff. It was all for the shock value, no doubt, and probably increased his press coverage. ;)
Oh I thought he just threw a chicken into the crowd once and they mauled it. Didn't know he bit one's head off. Lol that's not that shocking though for my generation, that's kinda expected for a rock show.

That is sooooooo sicko! He and Marilyn Manson seem to be kindred spirits, what a way to get attention, biting the head off a poor chicken.

"Epitaph" is the third track from the British progressive rock band
King Crimson's debut album, In the Court of the Crimson King :)

King Crimson - Epitaph

Confusion will be my epitaph
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh,
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying

Between the iron gates of fate,
The seeds of time were sown,
And watered by the deeds of those
Who know and who are known;
Knowledge is a deadly friend
When no one sets the rules
The fate of all mankind I see
Is in the hands of fools

The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams
Upon the instruments of death
The sunlight brightly gleams
When every man is torn apart
With nightmares and with dreams,
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
When silence drowns the screams

Confusion will be my epitaph
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh,
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying

Well, to tell you the truth, I don't know which it was... and the only time I saw him, I was at the concert with my best friend, and the guy she had a crush on (remember we were 16 year olds ;)) got busted at the concert or something, and so we were running around trying to figure out what happened to him, and consequently I missed the end of the show... here is what wiki says (it seems you are right! :)) And like I said before, for me it was always about the music, not the gimmicks.

Alice Cooper's "shock rock" reputation apparently developed almost by accident at first. An unrehearsed stage routine involving Cooper, a feather pillow, and a live chicken garnered attention from the press; the band decided to capitalize on the tabloid sensationalism, creating in the process a new subgenre, shock rock
. Cooper claims that the infamous "Chicken Incident" at the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival concert in September 1969 was an accident. A chicken somehow made its way onto the stage into the feathers of a feather pillow they would open during Cooper's performance, and not having any experience around farm animals, Cooper presumed that, because the chicken had wings, it would be able to fly. He picked it up and threw it out over the crowd, expecting it to fly away. The chicken instead plummeted into the first few rows occupied by wheelchair users, who reportedly proceeded to tear the bird to pieces. The next day the incident made the front page of national newspapers, and Zappa phoned Cooper and asked if the story, which reported that he had bitten off the chicken's head and drunk its blood on stage, was true. Cooper denied the rumor, whereupon Zappa told him, "Well, whatever you do, don't tell anyone you didn't do it."

Actually, I had just turned sixteen so my best friend would have still
been fifteen. LOL. I had to lie to my mother to get to that concert.

Oooh some King Crimson, good stuff. Used to have In the Court of the Crimson King. Lol I have actually heard much of the music posted here, good stuff indeed all around. Lol being not one from that generation obviously in a historical lens at these epic ages of the brutal 20th century it is all somewhat a mythos almost even itself. Always liked the older music, always found it to be a somewhat good way to strike common ground with older folks of them generations lol.

Well since 21st Century Schizoid man though epic is scarily too close to reality I guess I cop out with Moonchild for the flower children lol :).

Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find you

Acting on your best behaviour
Turn your back on mother nature
Everybody wants to rule the world

It's my own design
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the most

Of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world

There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do I'll be right behind you

So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world

I can't stand this indecision
Married with a lack of vision
Everybody wants to rule the world
Say that you'll never never never never need it
One headline why believe it ?
Everybody wants to rule the world

All for freedom and for pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world

Shout
Shout
Let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on
I'm talking to you
Come on

In violent times
You shouldn't have to sell your soul
In black and white
They really really ought to know

Those one track minds
That took you for a working boy
Kiss them goodbye
You shouldn't have to jump for joy
You shouldn't have to jump for joy

Shout
Shout
Let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on
I'm talking to you
Come on

They gave you life
And in return you gave them hell
As cold as ice
I hope we live to tell the tale
I hope we live to...

[2x]
Shout
Shout
Let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on
I'm talking to you
Come on

And when you've taken down your guard
If I could change your mind
I'd really love to break your heart
I'd really love to...

Shout
Shout
Let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on
I'm talking to you
Come on
[repeat until fade]
