I'm new here. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!

And, if anyone can answer the below, I'd greatly appreciate it as I can't find the answers:
(1) If I type a reply but decide not to post, why does my draft continue to reappear at the bottom of the thread even if I clear it out?
(2) How do I reply to another poster's individual statements (within one post) instead of the entire post? e.g. if I wanted to quote #1 and reply, then quote #2 and reply

Thanks in advance!
Hello Sheborn2x and Welcome to CC. I love your photo as it shows what you look like from behind if someone wanted to follow you. I did that joke in a video I made years ago for youtube. This is a great place for learning, sharing, and even fellowship of the electronic type. I am sure you will fit in so join in. Find a topic that interests you and share and learn. Again, Welcome!

Hello and welcome.
I like your user name. To me it looks/sounds like a play on words saying "born again".
Is that what you intended, or is there a different story behind it?

At the top of your typing box ( on a computer/laptop- I don't know what it looks like on a phone) is a tool box bar.
If you click the floppy disk icon near the end the drop down is like this:
View attachment 241775

you can "save" and it will keep what you have typed in the reply box for that thread (and I think as someone mentioned it automatically does sometimes too without telling it to do so, but for long or important stuff I recommend making sure you personally save it)

And to get rid of it I have found the best way is to delete what was typed, and then click the "delete draft" just to make sure it fully did delete, otherwise you come back and have all this stuff typed out that you might not want.

And also if you ever need tech help, on the main forum list at the bottom is a tech support forum.

Lot's of interesting, helpful stuff around in there.
Hi - Thank you for the welcome and information!

You are correct - my username says I am born again. :)

Another helpful icon is the last one on the right that looks like a gear/cog, especially if you are copying a message with various colors, fonts, sizing, or any other font enhancement, because simply copying may not (and likely will not) transfer all the differences. So when you toggle BB code, it shows all the coding, and when that is copied as is, you get an exact replica of the original message with all the color, font and size changes etc displayed as desired. Something else to keep in mind is that copied messages do not carry over images posted from member devices. A numbered link is provided instead which has to be clicked in order to see the image. If you wish your image to transfer, or are wanting to post an image in a PM, use an image host such as postimages.org - they do not require registration, allow for resize on upload from device or other (allowed) websites, and will not delete your image or limit its viewability in any way such as how photobucket does (or used to). It does give you a link so you can delete at any time (make sure to save this if you want to post something for a limited amount of time only, beyond the five minute edit). If you are quoting someone's post from an earlier page and want their image to display, quote their post and then preview it with the number code, open the image from the original post by right clicking to view, copy the christianchat url, and insert in place of the number code. You must also change [ ATTACH] TO [ IMG] AND [ /ATTCH] TO [ /IMG] :D Newer devices may not require this work-around to display images uploaded directly from other member devices
Thank you for all of the useful info! :)

Hey Tourist, is there any way to turn off that super-annoying spell-correct on this site?
When I first joined in 2014 there was spell-check. A year later it disappeared, at least on my laptop. About a year ago I noticed that it was back, It has come in handy for me. There might be an option in your Settings to disable this function.

I do not know .

Just highlight that text by holding down your mouse button and rolling over what you want to quote. You should get a little <reply> thingy after the hightlight. Then.... PUNCH IT! :giggle:

Welcome to CC and Godspeed! :):coffee:

Hi sheborn welcome :)

annoying innit ... I believe the privilege of being able to delete comes when you become a member.

To Admin:
I am surprised to see that I am still a member this morning. I just submitted a second request via contact us link to delete my account.
I also just started a new thread in this forum that says delete my account. It is awaiting approval, which means someone in admin should see it.
I am making a fourth request here in this thread to please delete my account as I do not wish to be a member of this site.
If new members and new threads are being approved by admin daily, admin should be able to honor my multiple requests to delete in a similarly timely manner.
Another user Whisper joined the site when I did and was banned within 1-2 days, so that tells me you are able to delete accounts rather quickly.
I will report this post after posting it, which means admin should see it. I ask everyone who sees it to also report so that my account will be either deleted or banned.
IF the individuals running this site are truly Christians, I’m confident I will no longer show as a member the next time I check.
Thank you and God bless

How about changing your e-mail address in your profile to something non-existent? This way all messages go into the internet-ether and you never have to hear from it again?

There is a person who is able to approve threads who does not have the admin power to remove accounts.

As far as forum mods go, there is only one, though the site owner can also delete accounts.
