Hi,
I recently …
- retired,
- recently relocated to a new area in southeastern Pennsylvania - surrounded by Old Order Mennonites (horse and buggies)

And even more recently…
- ruptured my Achilles tendon.

While I await surgery next Tuesday I decided to join you all.
It promises to be a long, tough recovery and what would be better than sharing thoughts with new people.

I’ve been a Christian for a long time.
And served in many different ways.

My wife and I are still looking for a home church, and we think we found one - but can’t attend in person again until I can get around better.

My domain name comes from the fact that I worked checking hearts (cardiology) most of my career. Without Christ my heart would simply be black.

I enjoyed your introductory post very much and was most impressed with the checking hearts (cardiology aspect.

There are a few Mennonites where I live in NE Tennessee but apparently, this group is not opposed to riding in a car but perhaps they have an outsider that actually does the driving

Glad to have you onboard with us and wish you well with your recovery of your ruptured Archilles tendon.

I am sure that God will lead you to a suitable home church too.

Welcome to CC.
