Thanks Dan... very nice to meet you ! I'm in my 50's and been a Christian officially since 1998. Before then was learning life the hard way... lol.
I would say Jesus is the center of my life , & hope . Nothing else more important! I've been boppin around this site the last couple days & would like to connect with others who are prophecy watchers & paying attention to the connection with current events & the signs of Jesus return... and I am one who thinks it's in our generation! In fact I'm living as if it's at any time, cause Jesus told us to watch & always be ready, so we won't be caught by surprise. How do you feel about this subject? I know I mentioned it in a post in the Miscellaneous forum & got some friction.... but hey, I'm not worried if someone doesn't agree! :)

Well, your testimony was a nice refreshment to my day thank you for that; as I drink my water along with it. Whether Jesus' return happens in my lifetime or not is of little notice to me, because I am focused on living with Him now, but it will be exciting; I discern a scary time for many as well. As I read the end times I am not sure if in my lifetime there is time for all that has been prophesied to be complete but when He comes is a matter of open interpretation because He has and will not tell us. And as we blink so shall He return. I do think about it with baited-breath, but I live on unburdened as to when and whether it happens in my chapter in history. I think of it as fruitless worry otherwise. God has already made me His Son I need not be anymore special than that in the context of history concerning His return.

"Men of Galilee," they said, "Why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." (Acts 1:11).

So, my only goal now is to listen and rest in His Spirit and grow up in Christ. When He returns specifically is useless to me to query; or worry. So I want to simply be ready living my life to bring glory to God and growing in His love relationship with me. His showing will be great, and I do look forward to it, but do not look for it. So you also must be ready, because the Son of man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him. (Matthew 24:44). Good to have another member of my family in Christ to spur me on in love and good deeds, and all the more, as we see the day approaching......(Heb. 10:24-25 emphasized). I am 54 so you can play basketball on my team anytime. Smile.:). Nice to talk, See you in the hallways...
