There's such a thing as a "troll sense"?
I think you acquire it after watching the entire Troll 2 movie but I've only seen parts of it.... It's one of those "Its so bad its good" movies from I think early 90's or late 80's lol

So I guess my question is: if we suspect trolling, should we immediately "shut the topic down" or "nip it in the bud" so to speak, or should we still give an OP the benefit of the doubt and answer any questions that he or she has (provided that we even HAVE the answers)?

That's everyone's own individual choices.

I wouldn't want to turn anyone truly lost away. Although I find it likely that its a slim chance someone genuinely looking for help appeared. Its really not up to me either way...

I count myself as one of the duller blades in the shed but I know with 100% certainty that you DO NOT! Promote religions other then Christianity when you are (Or claim to be) Christian! Its not just some religion its a relationship and should be the most important thing in your life!

Yep it's alright to "keep them in mind" but to "promote" them would be folly.

I do feel like it is biblical... this is why—— if god made him this way how can it be wrong to be in a poly relationship

Please post the Bible verses which specifically state that God directs us to marry more than one partner. I don’t trust in my own understanding, let alone what anyone else “thinks” is biblical. I only trust in the Word of God explicitly. Which Bible verses are you referring to?

This thread...

ya know, this is kinda like if I was to join an atheist forum...

and then I was to give myself the user name of "Evolution_Is_Poo_Poo"...

and then I was to go around claiming I wasn't there to cause trouble.

Yeah, this thread is kinda like that.

I didn't promote anything, just let them know they can find like minded people elsewhere if that's what they're after. I don't understand the hostility and exclusivity.

The OP has come to a Christian site asking for Scriptural guidance from Christians. Telling them that other religions allow for sinful behavior is not really helpful, is it? Or do you really see that as being helpful, as if the OP did not know where they were, or who they were asking for advice?

There is no exclusivity... just weariness.

Many people come to Christian forums just to wind us up.

Since this happens about a dozen times a day, it just gets old after a while.

Not a big deal.

I'm reminded of another poster we had not TOO long ago.

Does MDD ring a bell?
