About 2 decades ago, I hired a secretary.
After a few months at work, she surprised me with a personal question.
She asked me if I can tell her my opinion of how she looks as a female.
I liked to take the opportunity and let her hear something pleasant.
I told her:
“You are not very beautiful. But you are surely not ugly”.
“You are not tall, but not short”.
“You don’t have a creative mind. But you are too far from being dumb”.
“You are not fat and not thin”.

Naturally, she (as some of you here
) didn’t know that it was just the introductory of what she will hear and let her feel very good.

==================================================
"Therefore, if I like comparing you to food, you are like bread that a man doesn’t mind eating every day as long as he lives."
==================================================

For those who like reading what I told her next, I wrote it between the two dashed lines above using white ink.

It becomes visible if you select it as if you like copying it.

Oh I laughed when I read the white out words. :)

i asked my my brother once if he thought I was ugly and he pondered for a long time... As this is his nature... Told me an hour later, "You're not ugly, but even if you were, it wouldn't matter because that's not what counts." And if you knew my bro, which you guys don't, it was the sweetest thing he's said to me in a long time. :)

British Member of Parliament Bessie Braddock said to Sir Winston Churchill: "Mr. Churchill, you're drunk!"

Sir Winston Churchill replied immediately: "Madam, you are ugly. Tomorrow I shall be sober."

It was not impossible for Jesus to get married, he just chose not to. Perhaps if he had met your secretary things might have been different as he would have to read between the lines.
actually Jesus did take Himself a Bride............... :)

(just saying)

Do you really think, there could be a person in the world who, by representing a law known to men can bless a marriage between Jesus Christ and a woman?

If you do, we are surely talking about two different persons who are called Jesus Christ.

I am not talking about something frivolous as Jesus actually getting married. I just don't understand your aversion to marriage. Are you suffering regret in not asking your secretary to marry you years ago? Faint heart does not win fair woman, at least that is how I am looking at this situation.

You are correct kind sir. I believe that the bride was the church, not just any church but "the" church.

I love personal questions, I wish someone would ask me one, preferably a woman.

And who, in the world, blessed Jesus to let Him have this Bride?

Don't you know that no one in the world complains anytime he hears expressions addressed to another as "son of city" and "son of evil", for example? The reason is that the meaning of the words "city" and "evil" are well known, therefore what the two expressions are referring to are also known. But since the true image of God is unknown to zillions of people, the expressions "Son of God" or "son of God" sounds as God is a married father having sons. :)

For instance, Jesus NEVER said I am "the son of the Father in heaven" which is a very different expression from "Son of God". But this doesn't prevent the majority of Christians seeing God as being the Father in heaven only (being actually just one person, as in Judaism and Islam).

The good news is that God let every man be very satisfied the way he is created.
This is why, you will never hear me telling someone he/she is wrong. I just say what I may have in mind... no more no less.

You just told me I was wrong 15 minute ago. This must be the 15 minutes of fame I heard about years ago.

There is no reason for any man to stop imagining things that please his nature chosen for him by God.

I am glad I gave you a chance to enrich your imagination and have a good time... so please don't thank me.

In fact, I opened this thread in "Miscellaneous" for this exact purpose... to help people imagine things and things... :)

Just curious... How did I tell you, you were wrong?

Thank you.

My Brother and I look a lot alike, so if he told me I was ugly, he'd be insulting him self too. :)
