Every girl is facing an enormous amount of expectations coming her way (boys too, I'm sure, but I don't know a boy's situation good enough). There's always somebody at the ready to point out flaws etc, whether it be friends, others, magazines, tv, commercials etc. Every girl is dealing with this issue in her own way. There is no quick fix to be found, and at some point, a girl, let's say her name is Susanna, finds out that being a "snob" beats being a slob every time, whether she like it or not. She discovers that people are nicer when a her appearance is nice, and her manners are good, and secretly she's giving credit to her mama who taught her on how to be a lady. She's grateful for learning how put on her make up properly, dress modestly and nice and that she was given a raising in a christian home...and...well, I don't know what it is like in other parts of this world, but I take pride in my faith, appearance and manners, including make up...and I don't think Jesus will mind.
