He should ask, "If some crazy doctor kidnapped you, chopped off/added some parts and made you look like you are a member of the opposite sex, would you really be a man/woman"? (Change the question based on the gender of course.

If I self-identify as an five-star army general with 40 years pension, can I get a paycheck every month? If I wear the uniform and do that, I might get arrested. Why won't the government apply the same logic to gender?

I think we're being duped by a bomb thrower, who was probably a past banned member. The OP tossed an unBiblical grenade, sat back to watch the carnage, and moved on. Probably to some other target

Sounds plausible to me. Maybe from now on we should "ignore" such threads and see if the OP in question gradually becomes more "trollish" in demanding an answer.

That I agree with. ... but YB seemed to disagree strongly when I said God isn't concerned with what clothes we wear

No, you literally said there is nothing wrong with dressing as the other gender. And I pointed out that you are not correct. You are not correct. I am going by the Word of God.
This is a thread made by someone who ignores biblical roles of gender, the context is clear. And you just told this person "there is nothing wrong with dressing as the opposite gender". Why would I not tell this person that it is untrue?

Yeraza, I think she meant that there's nothing wrong with dressing as the opposite gender, in the sense of a woman wearing her husband's jacket to take out the dog in winter, for example. As opposed to a man wearing a dress simply because he wants to feel and look like a woman. I believe Tintin said he dressed up as Cleopatra or some such character, for a mystery movie night (or something) that he was a part of. Now I'm sure he only did that because it was part of a fun event, and by his own admission, doesn't make a habit of wearing dresses.. lol

My point is, there's a big difference between a man wearing women's clothes, shoes and makeup, and a woman who occasionally wears her husband's jacket to go outside on cold days. So in the context that it's NOT a daily thing, there isn't anything wrong with wearing the opposite gender's clothes, IF it's only for the purpose of going to a costume party or wearing hubby's sweatpants for pure comfort reasons.

Kilden's statement is right, and she went on to say that if it leads to a relationship that God has not intended, THEN it's a sin.

You keep talking about context. But yet you've taken Kilden's statement out of context.. There's a long jump between a guy dressing up as a woman for a one-time event such as a costume party, and a guy who dresses as a woman daily. With the whole 9 yards, makeup, shoes, dresses, stockings, etc.. Now I dunno if this OP does that or not, but he has said that he has found christian literature which supports his gender fluid..

Heres
what was said-

There is nothing wrong with dressing as the opposite gender ... clothes are man- made ideas after all.
This was the only mention of cross dressing in the entire post, everything after this was focused on sexuality-

There is nothing wrong with not feeling attracted to the opposite sex. (and I personally doubt
sexual attraction is a priority of God's,)
... but if this leads to a sexual relationship that is not in line with how God intended it to be, then it IS a sin, and it is harmful.
Notice: Harmful. To you.

Three very good friends of mine are bisexual. I love them no less than my other friends. I treat them no differently from my other friends. ... but I still know it is harmful to them , and that hurts, because they are wonderful people (none of them are Christian), and I wish for them to meet Christ , to have HIM as their first love, and be freed from their sin.
(I sin too , in other ways. I am no better than them, I just sin differently. ... but that doesn't mean I stop worrying about my friends).
The thread was about someone who ignores gender roles, and this was the comment made to this person about dressing in the clothing of the other gender-

There is nothing wrong with dressing as the opposite gender ... clothes are man- made ideas after all.
There was no word on "but only if your playing dress-up, ect", what was said to this non gender binary person was "there is nothing wrong with dressing as the opposite gender".

Anywho, another member has pointed out the error here, so I will leave it at that : p
