Tanakh,

The book of Revelation is about the events leading up to the Lord's return to end the age.

God the Father gave this Revelation to Jesus who sent His angel to show His servants "the things that must soon take place," said events being the events of God's wrath and all related information.

The key to understanding the chronological order of events is found in Rev.1:19, when Jesus told John to write:

What you have seen = Everything written from Rev.1:1 to Rev.1:19

What is now = Represented by the letters to the churches and which represents the entire church period

What will take place later = All of the events which take place after the "what is now" i.e. after the church period.

That said, we are still in the "what is now" portion of what John was told to write, the church period. Once the church is completed, the Lord will descend according to His promise in John 14:1-3 and 1 Thes.4:13-17 and will gather His church. Once the church has been gathered the "what must take place later" will ensue.

Rev.4:1-2 is a prophetic allusion to the gathering of the church (rapture). That voice that sounds like a trumpet is synonymous with the "trumpet call of God" found in I Thes.4:16 when the Lord calls us up. The voice says, "come up here and I will show you what must take place after this," which is synonymous with "what must take place later." This is exactly why we do not see the word "church" listed anywhere in the narrative of God's wrath. After being used throughout chapters 1 thru 3, it abruptly disappears from the rest of the narrative. It is not until the epilog in Rev.22:16 that it is mentioned again. We continue to tell you this, but you continue to refuse to believe and that because of the false teachings that you've adopted and now contend for.

When one becomes convinced the Bible does not mean what it says, they sacrifice what is most important to believe in order to protect what they most want to believe.

Some day you and others will find out that we were correct regarding the truth of God's word that we have been contending for.
Its not Gods word that I disbelieve but the interpretation that you and others impose on it. What you contend for is a belief system that was conceived and spread by a 19th century deceived cult leader and his disciples. I place it in the same category as those of
Joseph Smith, Charles Taze Russell, William Miller, Mary Baker and Ellen White all of which claimed to have the truth of Gods word and contended for it. Its no coincidence that, Dispensationalism (Darbyism) you adhere to arrived during the same period as their peculiar versions of ''truth''

i heard a pastor once spout off once 'no man knows the day or the hour, but i've figured out the year! in 1987 the lord will return and take us away.' i thought about it, i mean he had prophecy, history, math, current events and all sorts of scholarly, logical, reasonable tid bits, throw in. He was a very gifted pastor, a prophet, he wasn't. Unfortunately he was very popular and had quite a following.

A person can be very sincere while being sincerely wrong at the same time and people who place their in some's charisma can easily become disappointed and loose whatever faith they had in God. Beware of false prophets.

At 73 I have heard and read reasoning about predicted times all with math to back it up. All were wrong. Anytime I hear one of these I assume it is another one. The Bible states only the Father knows!

I agree with you. John Darby was a very intelligent man although by all accounts far from being charismatic he was an unpleasent
individual. His cult still exists in various factions and versions as the exclusive brethren

I totally agree. There was a man on this site who couldn't be shaken from the idea that the rapture would happen in May. It's now the end of June. Every time I hear a general time like that I know it is false. At 73 have read and heard many different times presented. I was 17 and somehow had a pamphlet using math and prophecies to predict the date. My 18th birthday came and went and no rapture. I turn a deaf ear to these prophecies by people. Too many people have gone down that path only to be proven wrong. One cult leader got his followers to sell everything and go to a comune to await the predicted night in their beds. Came and went with everyone feeling foolish.

Greetings in Christ calibob,

It's not a matter of sincerity, but the error is with those who teach any date at all regarding the Lord's return to gather His church. What we can do is observe the state and events of the world and Israel and know that the time is near, because we can see the stage being set for the antichrist and therefore the coming wrath of God. For regarding Israel God said:

"For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all the countries, and I will bring you back into your own land."

"The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through. Then they will say, “This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden."

For hundreds of years, Jerusalem and that area was a desolate waste land. The people of Israel have and are continuing to return to Israel. She just celebrated her 70th year anniversary as being a nation, with Jerusalem just recently being recognized as the capital of Israel. Where Israel was a desolate waste land, it is now a flourishing Eden.

"But you, Daniel, shut up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will roam to and fro, and knowledge will increase."

Today, many are roaming to and fro, i.e. traveling back and forth and knowledge has been increased greatly. We are the only generation who can rightly claim that we are in the very last days. We have scripture which tells us that the false prophet is going to cause all to receive that mark in the right hand or forehead and except anyone had the mark they will not be able to buy or sell. That said, the world has been using the system of electronic crediting and debiting (buying and selling) for some time. As of 2015, businesses in Sweden began to offer their employees RFID chip implants under the skin of the hand, which is used for building security, access to office machines and to make purchases in the local café. This technology is evolving and spreading, making its way here to the US with some businesses now implanting their employees with the same chip in order to be able to make electronic purchases in the companies break rooms.

This device implant technology will continue to evolve into something more applicable in preparation for that coming antichrist. What will remain consistent will be that whatever this device evolves into, it will go in either the hand or the forehead, eventually replacing card swiping and mobile apps to electronically credit and debit ones bank account. The very fact that this technology even exits is a testimony to the truth and accuracy of God's word. Since we can see the stage being set by observing these events--and these that I have listed are just a few--then we can know that the gathering of the church is very near. For since the church is not appointed to suffer God's coming wrath and these things are all pointing to that time period, then we must be removed prior to the beginning of God's wrath.

OH YEAH, I'm 64 myself and I was involved in 'so called' christian broadcasting for a while, years, and I believe ISAIAH 55; 10& 11 or to paraphrase; 'The word of the Lord never comes back void' so although I disagree with a lot of nonsense I have heard, i've struggled on in faith that the Holy Spirit would grant discernment to those so blessed.

I believe what you are saying is mostly true the implimentatation may not be spot on or I just would have used the check mark for amen. In theory you are correct but in a tangible way, who's pulling the strings, as in humans in league with the Devil, remains to be seen. Keep up the good work. Glory to God.

Hasten to add (add on to my previous post)...the "righteous remnant" and the Jewish people there in the Jerusalem area...THEY WILL have to endure the full 42 months (1260 days). It is the believers, those who are Jesus-followers who will be extracted some time before the end of those 1260 days.

It is my understanding the 'righteous remnant that all during the 1260 days, THEY WILL NOT YET UNDERSTAND that Jesus is their Messiah...even though God has set them aside and will confer full salvation on them in the end.

They will ultimately understand who their Messiah is and who Jesus is...when Jesus finally presents Himself to them and which is described in this wonderfully prophetic passage in Zech. 12:10 -- "they will look upon me, on him whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn."

Another issue with JW is they believe Jesus is the archangel Michael and not God. Thus directly ignoring John 1 and the scriptures where Jesus claimed to be God the Father. They use their seperate books to ignore this.

The resur/rapt will happen exactly as it says in the story of the 7 seals/7 trumpets, at the 7th/last trumpet.

The 7th/last trumpet shows the events that will soon take place in front of us.

See what happens at the 6th trumpet. An army crosses the Euphrates River headed for Israel and Jerusalem.

After Jerusalem falls to this army, the 7th trumpet will blow.

------

More details about the events leading up to the 7th trumpet are given in the story of the 2 witnesses (2W's).

The 2W's are the people of Israel. They are witnessing that the prophecies about their restoration to Jerusalem are true and that they are the chosen people of God.

When they are killed by the army of the 6th trumpet (Iran), 3 1/2 days later, the resur/rapt happens and this planet ends in fire when the stone strikes.

-------

These events may be only a few months or years away, or 10 years, I don't know.

But they will take place exactly as it says in the story of the 2W's and the 7th/last trumpet.

Nobody knows the date according to the years of men, but Jesus told the exact events leading up to His coming for the kingdom Rev 11:15.

They are taking place now.

They could not be understood until now because Israel had not been restored to Jerusalem, until 1967.

There needs to be the third temple built. That is where the abomination that causes desolation will take place. They have excavated where the first and second temple were built. There is a YouTube video showing this, the Gihon Springs is there along with the alter to sacrifice the animals. There is a trough cut in the floor to let the blood flow away. Here are a couple of sites with more information.

Sorry the Oklahoma sun has burned away my speakers and i had to spend my mad money for the month on a temporary solution to my failed 40 yr. old air conditioning, today. i have known about what you speak of, being planned for decades, when i heard of the US Embassy being moved to Jeruselem it caught my attention, kind of like a chess move. I can see something forming but i don't know where the pieces will fall, yet!

The end is here.

After Jerusalem falls, 3 1/2 days later, Jesus will come for the kingdom.

Maybe soon, or years, but it will happen exactly as shown by the 2W's and 7th/last trumpet. That is the resur/rapt.

=======================

Revelation is not one continual timeline.

The sections are repeating the same story over and over again, from different perspectives and with different related subjects.

The story is about the rejection of the gospel kingdom by the natural branches, the withdrawing of God's blessings on them, resulting in the persecution by the Roman iron dragon beast, until they are restored to Jerusalem (1967), and Jesus comes for the kingdom, ending in the judgment and eternity.

=======================

Let me explain it another way,

When Jerusalem falls this time, there won't be any "fleeing" from the sword to the mountains, that already happened in 70 ad.

There will never by another Israel in control of Jerusalem on this planet again. There is not going to be another "times of the gentiles" (ToG's), that time was 70 ad until 1967.

If the planet was to continue after Jerusalem falls, Israel would blend into the gentile nations and cease to be a unique genetic race.

And you may say that there are millions of Israelites of the natural branches in many places in the world, but where will they be in 50 years if there is no Israel? 100 years? The numbers are against them, remaining as a genetic race. In 100-200 years, all races may be blended and not unique, as the generations continue.

------

The events taking place now will eventually lead to the end of restored to Jerusalem Israel.

Already Israel and Jerusalem are surrounded by the kings of the east (Iran), and the forces of the gentile nations Magog (Russia, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, etc.).

As events progress and the USA abandons it's allies, no one will be able to help Israel when the end comes.

We will watch the events unfold before our eyes. The battle of Armageddon, which Israel will lose. The fall of Jerusalem to Iran and it's allies. The great celebration by the enemies of Israel when they are dead. The bodies of the children of Israel will lie in the streets for 3 1/2 days, EXACTLY as it says.

Then, after 3 1/2 days, Jesus will come for the kingdom. The dead will rise and we will be caught up to be with Him.

After that, this planet will be destroyed by the fire of the stone striking the planet, turning it into a planet of fire.

There is not going to be a planet left after Jesus comes, after the stone strikes.

===========

After the resurrection, when Jesus comes for the kingdom, it is the end, 1 Cor 15:23-28, 23-24.

The 7th/last trumpet shows the events that will soon take place in front of us.

See what happens at the 6th trumpet. An army crosses the Euphrates River headed for Israel and Jerusalem.
abcdef, the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will take place in chronological order, i.e. sequentially. The seals, trumpets and bowl judgments do not run parallel to one another, but take place in the order they appear in.

At the sounding of the 6th trumpet, those four fallen angels that are bound at the Euphrates are released and they gather their demonic army of 200 million. Keep in mind that the Abyss will have just been opened at the 5th trumpet. The popular false teaching here is that, this army of 200 million are the kings of the east. Remember, these angels will have been kept there for that specific day, hour, month and year to kill a third of mankind, not angels getting men to kill men, but angels killing mankind. In addition, there is nothing in the scripture of the 6th trumpet that mentions anything regarding the Euphrates River. The only reason that someone related the 6th trumpet with the 6th bowl judgment, is because the Euphrates river is mention. In the 6th trumpet, those four angels are bound there, where at the 6th bowl judgment, the Euphrates is dried up to make way for the kings of the east, which takes place in order to bring them over to Armageddon. Other than the Euphrates mentioned in both, they are two separate events.

After Jerusalem falls to this army, the 7th trumpet will blow.
Once again, the "last trumpet" mentioned in I Cor.15:52 has nothing to do with the 7th trumpet, other than both using the word "trumpet." The "last trumpet" is a blessing for the church being caught up, where the 7th trumpet is a plague of wrath for the wicked.

In addition, there is nothing whatsoever mentioned about the gathering of the church in or around the context of the 7th trumpet. You will not even find the word "church" appear anywhere in the narrative of God's wrath.

As I have made clear to you before, if the church was to be gathered at the 7th trumpet, it would put the church through all of the seals and trumpets which are God's wrath and which believers are not appointed to suffer, ergo, we must be removed prior to the first seal being opened.

The two witnesses will be two literal men, just as scripture says, who will prophesy during the first 3 1/2 years in Jerusalem. It is that angel of the Abyss, that beast, that comes up out of the Abyss at the sounding of the 5th trumpet and it is he himself who kills the two witnesses and not the army of the 6th trumpet, as revealed below:

"When the two witnesses have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will wage war with them, and will overpower and kill them. " - Rev.11:7

Amen. This is so simple that even a child could figure it out. But we see this error repeated over and over and over again.

Indeed, the 7th trumpet is not even called "the last trumpet"! All we read is "And the seventh angel sounded..." (Rev 11:15). Not even the trumpet is mentioned!

The problem with this view is in eschatology it is only one of 4 seperate views of what will happen in the end times. These 4 seperate Biblical views of eschatology are caused by the fact that both Daniel and Revelation are written using a lot of symbolic language. Daniel plainly states it is closed until the end times. This also applies to Revelation since it also uses very similar language. Theologians studying this issue understanding this problem have been only able to reduce possibilities to the 4 seperate views of eschatology. This poster is trying to claim only one is Biblical and not the other three. Sorry Charlie (quote from an old Sunkist Tuna add) but ignoring the other three possible Biblical views of eschatology is erroneous. The other three MUST BE ACKNOWLEDGED.

Here are 4 different links to the 4 theological Biblical views of eschatology.

This is because Daniel and Revelation are written in symbolic language. Daniel plainly states it is closed until the end times. Revelation is written the same way so it too is closed.

Something I left out. Certain items are required for Biblical views to happen. One is the third temple needs to be built. There is a YouTube video about archaeological digs uncovering the site of the first an second temple. It shows the sacrificial alter, Gihon Springs flowing water channeled into a pool where the priests must cleanse themselves before doing certain actions as required by priests. The wall on the temple mount was part of the Fort Antonio that housed the 10th legion consisting of 6000 Roman soldiers and 4000 additional support personal. The temple was never there. In the bible it was located on a smaller mount in the city of David. That is just south Temple Mount. Josephus stated that when Titus was angered he had Jerusalem eradicated including the temple complex. He states that if he hadn'twitnessed this he would never have known where the temple stood. We now have evidence of where it was.
