I have my doubts, I mean we are a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). I think the reason why we still is rather because we occasionally keep looking back at the Old Adam. This video explains it very well.

God bless you all

Oh no. Another identity faith teacher. Denial of the sinful nature. This is the first I've heard one of them say sin is an external source.

Looks like today the false teachers are coming out of the woodwork in droves. More baloney from those who twist the truth.

Well there wouldn't be Christianity or even the need or a savior if in fact there was no "Sinful, fallen nature", right?

Ponder on this....

That's not what the OP is about. It is about no sin nature within the believer (which is false). If it were true, every Christian would be sinlessly perfect.

Well wasn't the "truth" in a way, fabricated throughout the centuries? People did not have doctrine, or religion from one day to the next, it was developed throughout the centuries. In order for them to "teach" in church, they need to have something to teach. Do you think the bible just dropped out of the sky one day? Bound and all?

A very strong piece of evidence to support my idea that there is not one truth, is the fact that Christians hardly agree on anything, and Christianity is made up of many different beliefs, doctrines, and points of view.

Of course every single one of these "Denominations" knows they are right because of the Holy Spirit.

Exactly my point, you are a Christian because you were convinced to be a sinner.

That is not evidence that there is more than one truth. There can only be one truth according to Scripture.

Well, you're right and I agree; there could only be 1 truth, hence why it would be the "truth". To further drive my point home, there is not 1 Christianity, there are dozens (not to mention that Christianity has evolved throughout the eras). If God's message was objective, everyone would be on the same page. Last time I checked that is not the case.

If indeed there is one "true" church among all the other "fakes", I can't tell them apart.

This idea originated from Plato saying the physical body is evil but the spirit is pure. That is an unbiblical dichotomy. I also can't find an NIV which changed Rom 7:18 from "sinful nature" to sin in my flesh.

I think you missunderstood this video. It's not our second nature that causes to stumble, but our fights against the dark powers of this world (Ephesians 6:12) which causes us to look back at the first Adam.

God bless you

The first Adam hasn't gone anywhere. I have to contend with him every day. No outside force is causing that conflict. It's what I am in the flesh.

When we are fighting the forces of evil, we are also resisting the "old man" (the sin nature) in the power of the Spirit, and with the armor of God. So someone is setting you up with a false teaching about all of this. We don't "look back" when people walk "in the flesh". They simply yield to the flesh.

I remember a woman who believed this garbage was cheating on her husband and told me her spirit is pure while she has sex with other men. It is her flesh that is sinning.

Sure you have seen that video? He talks about accidental fails and struggle with sin, not habitual sin. God bless

It is the logical conclusion of this platonic philosophy in the video. You can sin all you want and your spirit remains pure before God.

Romans 7:18 - For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. (NIV)

Romans 7:25 - Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. (NIV)

I use the KJV, not the NIV.

You have missunderstood it. In one of his other videos this guy told that if somebody lives in sin and has no intention to stop, then he is not a Christian at all.

Again, we no longer are sinners. 2 Corinthians 5:17

God bless you
