There are many on this forum that I may disagree with on some issues while agreeing with on others.
I consider them as brothers in Christ.
All issues are important. But to me, the issue of salvation is the most important and when I see someone who has placed his faith in anything or anyone other than Jesus, it really troubles me. But when they try to lead others down that path, they become my enemy not my brother.
The question is, how do we deal with those who are leading others down the path to Hell.
I believe there is pattern for this in the Scripture as we look at how Jesus and Paul dealt with these people.
First is in love. Always in love. Love for their soul that never stops.
So with love we try to lead them to the truth.
When that does not work, we must be very blunt and use the "in your face" approach.
Jesus called the Pharisees hypocrites and Paul said to mark them.
When that does not work, we are to just let them continue down their road to hell.
Jesus instructed the disciples and the 70 to stay and teach those who would learn but to walk away from those who would not and to "shake the dust from your feet". Make a public statement of what you are doing.
It is not about not loving them, praying for them, and leaving the door open for them to come to the truth, but don't waste you time when others are seeking the truth.
In my opinion, much time is wasted on some who simple believe they are "all knowing" when it would be much better to just ignore. i.e. Mark them, shake the dust from our feet.
