A good topic was brought up in another thread. I'm bringing it over here were its more on topic.

Beauty:
To me/myself and I, I am an average 40 something woman. Blue eyes, curly brown hair, ave to athletic build. Average 5'7". I am no supermodel nor do I ever wish to be. ( attracts the wrong attention in my book)

I have never had any trouble finding a job. Hired across the state or country. My record speaks for its self. I'm not hired for my body. ( hospital: women supervisors)

I did not have trouble finding a date in my youth. If I put myself out there I doubt I would now. My standards have matured with my age. Nor do I dress to cause a man to lust after me ( again attracting the wrong kind of attention)

Now Solomon was also brought up. 700+ wives. Wow the man thought with his crouch not his mind and he fell out of grace with the Lord because of it and started worshipping false gods.

All these examples I heard about beauty, was skin deep. Which we live in a worldly world and look through flesh eyes.

As the writer I put my beliefs and thoughts out there. As it should be. Please don't take my confidence and knowing who I am as arrogance.

Now as we all know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Why is beauty such a big deal? And what type of beauty do you look at first?

Again not the best at words or typing on this phone. Suggestion read between the lines of the thoughts I'm trying to tie together 😏

I appreciate what you said, let me say that there is a large amount of hipocracy in false humility. If a person is smarter than average they probably know it. or better than average looking etc. I think it is no sin to acknowlege what God has given us, not to be boastfull but thankful. Helpful too. I God has given a person a gift and others need help in that area wouldn't it be kinda odd to play the part of dumb jock or dumb blonde and with hold for appearnces sake? If a guy or girl is threatened by us, they need an ego check. Acting like someone wer'e not is either a sign of madness or deciet. One deserves pity the other discust!

I look at beauty differently. I guess. Yes, I see people im attracted to. And I did a poor job of finishing thoughts (tech for internet is here.) I listed physical beauty and how I seen myself. ( average) I have no low self esteem of my looks. I can get lost and be overlooked if I chose or could stand out. If I standout its not my looks that draws folks in. Its my attitude and how I treat them. And I would hope the Lord shining through me. Which is some of the parts I failed to tie in. (And again lost train of thought techy will be back at 2)
Beauty to me is a persons character, personality, how they carry themselves. Values ECT...

I'm 42. As far as what you commented on. My body has not changed much since I was 16. My hair has some greys, I have a few smile lines. I look my age. My weight stays steady. I've gained 10 15 lbs here and there depending what's going on. And loose it again. I don't put my value in my looks or accomplishments.

As far as working in the medical field been there since 16. I didn't work for some years. When I decided to go back. I had an interview in 24 hrs. After that interview was called back to meet her department heads. She created a new job for me. Cross trained in 2 ERs and 2 breast centers as Well as insurance verification and MRI out Pt.
I don't think that had anything to do with my looks. My skills, character, and professional abilities that got me the job. That was 1 job. If one puts there faith in their looks, I feel sad for them. People are more beautiful that their appearance.

I blame myself, I did a poor job of starting this topic. And did not tie all my thoughts in nice and neat. ( even left some out all together )

You know it breaks my heart. My eldest son I taught work ethics, Responsibliy and proper hygiene. He does not have his hand out, nor an entitlement attitude. He just turned 25. Married and his first baby on the way. Here's what breaks my heart. He is very handsome. Baby blues athletic and 6'2". ( worlds view of a heart throb) guess what. That's how he identifies himself. His looks, his bank account and his accomplishments. He bought his second brand new mustang at 24 w/o a co signer. Exellent credit. College degrees. ( not boasting, painting a real picture) yes I'm proud of him, but not for any of that. My pride comes from his heart, his compassion to others, how he treats his family, his honesty. His hard word attitude. Sadly in college he stepped away from the Lord. I pray for him. I know he will come back. He was raised right. But see, in his eyes its his worldly things that make him the image of him in his eyes. He is a natural born leader and don't see it. He has to prove it to himself by what he has done or accoplished or owns. For me that is the wrong mindset.

Again still on a phone and mind running in fifty different directions. I hope this time I made better sense.

To prove some of my point. Ill share a photo taken last Easter. I had no make up on. Did not fix up my hair, was causally dressed and not posing for this pic. If fact did not know my daughter was taking it. We had just had lunch with my grandmother and we were all just sitting around talking.
I don't hold alot of stock in my appearance. Its not what makes me beautiful. Who I am as a person is what makes me beautiful in my eyes. I will even add a photo of me branding on the ranch just finishing wrestling a calf. Dirty and hairs a mess. Even making a ugly face 😏 I'm not ashamed of who I am or how I look. My beauty is not skin deep nor should any of yalls be in my honest opinion

I've been on my phone since coming back to CC. Storm messed stuff up and I'm now getting an upgrade.
I'm am hoping having my PC or laptop will be easier to follow these threads. I've been on either since CC changed its set up. From what I heard my fav pc has win.7 pro and I was told chat don't work on 7. My old lap top it win.7 pro new one is win 10. Which I was going to down grade to the win 7 pro. But might have to hold off now. The new Pc is 10 also but I got it for my tunes and photos. 1T and good graphics. But hate doing anything else on it. Oh well how petty my struggles.

I think the largest hurdle in understanding the sexes is knowledge, primarily pseudo knowledge. We are taught it is complicated, it’s not! God designed our sexuality like the other mammals. Men are designed for population increase and females are designed for quality increase. Men display their genetic giftedness and women select the best attributes to pass on. It’s the same all over the animal kingdom. I’m not going to go into great detail but that’s how we are designed. Alpha males are generally selected based on survival qualities, and dominance. Just consider the popularity of Fifty Shades of Grey”. Stereotypical alpha. The rest of relationship is based on needs being met. Pleasure releases serotonin and dopamine, pleasure and addiction neurotransmitters. We get addicted to eachother.

As far as empathy is concerned look up mirror neurons. We are designed to learn and live in community because of this. Our brains react in synch with others based on observing them. That’s why we wince when somebody gets hurt, cry when somebody is sad, and smile when somebody smiles. It’s how kids learn mostly. Scientists have concluded this response is stronger from a subordinate to an authority and weak or nonexistent in reverse. In short, how better you think you are above others dictates your empathy. Also explaining how such atrocities are performed to enemies without remorse.

We think we are so complex but most people are predictable based on programming from youth, neurology and survival needs (especially need for acceptance). The social media, “like” button is as addictive as sex and sugar at the most primal level.

But not all males are Alpha...
And not all women are submissive, although that is how God intended. I honestly think, though, that through my walk in Christ I have become more submissive.

Most women still possess the calling to motherhood. Whereas before weak genes were discontinued because of disease and the elements, society has intervened to the detriment of our species. We have no enemies, but ourselves, food is often plentiful and medicine prolongs weak genetic stock. Money is a false strength. One can acquire this “power” and fortify an otherwise poor genetic specimen. Besides, oversexualization contributes to uncontrollable population growth.

G'morn' every boddy. Never saw it, never heard anything good about it.

Being I'm not an evolution fan I use the term adaptation. This brings up the question of adaptation. As modern man has adapted from hunter/gatherers and warriors to farmers, inventors and authors and philosiphors. The ancient dynamics of the male/female role models have also. Few men have to hunt and fight any more. Most of us think it's barbaric and unnessary. We fight with traffic, bills and social issues. We hunt for the most part at Wal Mart. We also fight with people that resist change. What he said about neurotransmitters is correct and mankind has found other easier ways to release them besides sex and near death experiences. This was not the way we were when we came out of the garden either but God made us different than other animals and provided ways to learn, adapt and change. God knew what he was doing and gave us all the ability to become more than weaponized Gorillas to chemists, doctors and priests. By adaptation to change not evolution. The world has changed and humans have with it. That's what makes us unique from the rest of the animal kingdom. Fred Flintstone is gone and so is his society. Was it predestination or rebellion?
