How much do we accomplish with disparaging the ministries of others?

How much can we accomplish for the Kingdom of God when we share the love of Christ?

There is a particular pastor that regularly makes sermons disparaging the ministry of others. Osteen is one of his favorites.
There's something amiss in a pastor that would do that with regularity.
In the case of Osteen, he's not a minister. He's a Humanist. His weekly conferences are held in a former sports arena that he was able to purchase and convert for meetings of that nature. He is not a pastor of the Gospel. He is a Humanist who's focus is creative visualization and prosperity affirmation. His god is mammon.
When a man does not preach the Gospel of Christ they are not a preacher. As we know, anyone can claim to be a preacher. The liars are found out by those guided by the truth of Christ.

How much can we accomplish for the Kingdom of God when we share the love of Christ?
Does the parent that scolds their child for running headlong into the street without looking both ways first not love their child? Does the husband that is upset his wife let her car insurance lapse not love her as he speaks sternly concerning her illegal driving?
Does God not love us becasue he gave us rules to follow so that we may be righteous and upright in this world where Satan is lord?

What good in saving souls is a Humanist who thinks speaking about the tenets of the Gospel is beating people down?
How are people able to find their way to repentance when someone standing before 30 thousand people never once talks about repentance?

Is it love to let people die in their sins because they as new arrivals to a 30 thousand seat arena have no idea what sin, repentance, redemption, salvation, are prior to arrival. Nor after the lecture is over? If that person goes out onto the nearest interstate and dies in a fatal car crash did they die saved by Humanism and prosperity lecturing?
Or did they simply die in their sins?

Is it love to let people go into damnation because calling out false preachers seems unkind?

The original post is fake news. It's from a parody website. I would like to think such things are funny, but I can't because of the propensity for low-IQ Christians to believe those parodies and other fake news.

Olsteen doesn't use the Bible, and that deserves some jabs.

Yes, that it is a parody has already been established in the OP link itself and on the first page of this thread. Attempting to insult Christians with the low-IQ crack is beneath contempt.

You being so judgmental over a reasonable statement is beneath contempt.

I consider the source of the judgment that comes from someone that patently ignored the information about the OP being a parody on first page of this thread. As well as the website linked in the OP itself. Fake news and parody are two totally different publications. Your deeming to ignore the parody information so as to crack about low IQ Christians was pathetic and unwarranted. If anything it was self-identifying in that the parody information was clearly published in this thread repeatedly.

Say what you want about that, I'll not read it. I loathe people who hold Christians in contempt and use any inroad to levy insult. God knows it typically backfires on the offender. As it did in your case. God is good all the time.

By your words..........Jesus said.........

All I know is I watched an interview with him ONCE and seen his WIFE speak once and his speak once......told me all I needed to know about HIS gospel.....

His wife said that we do not come to church to worship God

He said that he would not say Muslims were wrong or that they would go to hell and he refused to preach on sin

When one only delivers MOTIVATIONAL speeches and PROSPERITY gospels.....of course you will pack a stadium......the world loves it's own!
How much does the stadiums charge now? How much is his cut? In the 80's a traveling evangelist was legally entitled to 50% of the offerings and the sponsor church 50% but they both had to calculate overhead in a way that looked on the books like they were operating at a loss. Stadiums are not non profit organizations. They are allowed to make a profit. They have huge overhead and still make money so how much?$$$ do preachers get to take home? Is a Bentley and a Gulf Stream Jet legitimate traveling expenses?:geek::poop:

I think I understand why you took my remark about low-IQ Christians so personally. Sorry, I didn't mean to accuse you of being a Christian. Regardless of the fact the OP doesn't identify the story as a parody, I'd be incompetent if I'm going to object to a particular parody without mentioning that is is a parody.

It is a fact that low-IQ Christians sometimes think parodies are real news. When you read the article, there's no clear declaration that the article is a parody. Only familiarity with Babylon Bee or the ridiculousness of the article would clue he reader in that it's a parody. Sadly, ridiculousness often isn't discerned by people with low IQs.

Why don't you just chill and stop becoming hysterical when you read things you disagree with.

Looks like the video has error codes now. :( This should work.
Do you ever wonder if old Joel stands there when she talks like that and thinks to himself, what a self absorbed idiot!
I wonder if they were obeying God when they refused to shelter people in their stadium after the Texas flood???

They changed their position on that after it made news that Osteen went so far as to lie about impassable roads to his church. And that being why he didn't open the church and due to police advising of the travel hazard.
Ever notice how evil will clad itself in innocence when necessary? So as to obscure its true nature by the distraction that affords?
Look behind Osteen in this video. What do you see? Baby supplies almost to the ceiling.

It is a rich church. Remember the news prior to this storm? Well prior actually. Someone had stolen over $600 thousand dollars total in cash, checks, and CC receipts from the vault after the offering was taken on just that one weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
Likely Osteen feared looting under the guise of needing shelter. Which would not be unwise actually given the theft.

According to Osteen his financial benefit is gleaned from the proceeds received from his published works. While donations to the church remain with the church.
I've not heard his wife affirm that is how she sustains a paycheck however. It was supposedly found out that the Lakewood church only gives 1% of its proceeds to charities. So where does that other money go? Upkeep? Wow. If they generate $600 thousand in two days due to tithing imagine what they garner the rest of the week from those lands where they broadcast abroad.

WWJD? When the king of Heaven had no place to lay his head, Joel Osteen lives in a 10.5 million dollar mansion estate. That just seems odd to me.
