Get to a near death experience and I bet you all will get the name right
Name above all names, at the sound of it every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess Jesus is lord.
Go ahead worship his title/gift. Someday when your religious upbringing wears off or not, you will speak his name correctly
Well, sorry, the above is purely subjective reasoning and emotionalism, it is not reflective of Scripture or Biblical truth.

Many of us are going to reject your "personal experience lessons" in favor of the word of God.

Once more, Christ is not a name, it's a title. No one is saying "Christ" is like his last name, or name, but is a description of his eternal office and title; Acts 2:36.

The LORD Jesus Christ. This describes him perfectly and eternally, it's all over the NT writings.

About what we call names today. They are not quite the same, not with the majority that is, as they were in the times of the Word past.

Michael is all one thinks of when they hear it they just think, a guy's name but it is from the Hebrew and it does not just label a person, but describes what attributes they duibber may hav prayed over the named. Michael means one who is like kGod…….Like when the Angel, Michael, came to help Daniel and was delayed by the adversary when He came to Daniel's aid.

Bethlehem is just the name of a town to so many, but if you break down what the words are that make up that name in Hebrew, Beit Lechem, you have house of Bread, and how beffitting is this since the Bread from Heaven first came to that House.

Jesus is not just a name, it has been transliterated twice from its original Yeshua, of if you have this accent, Yahwhua. It became Iesous in Greek then Yesu in Latin and came to English as Jesus.

The original, Yeshua, is composed of the words, The salvation of Yah(weh). Now when the Angel told Mary to call the babe Yeshua because He shall save His people, it tends to make all kinds of sense.

These descriptive titles for so many have evovled inot just nice sounding appellations for peple, but they mean oh so much more, and usually they bless all.

I will call you Benjamin……..that means favored son, colloquially son of the right hand...how d you like them pickles!? Good stuff. God bless you.

I've tried committing suicide on and off since I was about 9 or 10 years old. I'm 48 years old now, and I've had several near-death experiences. I almost died of pnuemonia, was in the hospital for 2 weeks with tubes up my nose and nurses pounding on my back for 2 hours a day trying to get me to cough up the gunk in my lungs. In 2010, I had cancer that WOULD have killed me if it hadn't been discovered when it was. I also almost died of severe anemia, a month before they discovered the cancer. Was in hospital for 2 days, and received FOUR back to back transfusions.

And guess whose name was on my lips all those times? The name of Jesus. It really makes no difference if we refer to Him as simply Jesus, or Jesus Christ. :)

His name is Jesus. As others have said, Christ is just one of His many titles. So when YOUR "religious upbringing" wears off, maybe you will also speak His name correctly. :)

Why does so many people call Jesus (Christ)
Christ left Jesus on the cross. He sits at the right hand of God fully God. No need for the anointing.
He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother, but you won't call him by his given name him
Maybe some of you missed that in your study, or diluting the most powerful name ever, is your only way to say it

Okay... so an experience that less than one in one million people experience is necessary for getting the Saviour's Name correct?

Rethink that one, maverich. Your reasoning on this issue is deeply flawed.

And 'Jesus Christ' is only used 5 times in the 4 Gospels:

The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. Matthew 1:1

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 1:18

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; Mark 1:1

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. John 1:17

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3

And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35

What tradition teaches you so wrongly about our Savior?

Christ is not his name, it's his office and title which means anointed or chosen. He will be that for eternity, "...both Lord and Christ", noted as such after his resurrection. Note Acts 2:36.
Amen....and this whole thred is idiotic.....After the resurrection both Peter and Paul speak of the DAY OF CHRIST in the future tense......where do these people come up with this drivel!

They come up with it via "personal experience" and not enduring sound doctrine. Sometimes I wonder if they've ever had sound doctrine in the first place.

I see this a lot in people asking this: "What does this verse mean to you?" That question is so chock full of problems it isn't funny.

WHERE DID HE STOP BEING MESSIAH?

You know there have been a lot of "messiahs'" over the centuries.... We (my people) are looking for even two Messiahs…. Messiah Ben Joseph and Messiah Ben David. But what so many do not understand their is NOT TWO MESSIAHS... ONLY ONE CHRIST AND TWO COMMINGS!!!! Christ/ Messiah has come as Messiah Ben - Joseph and HE IS COMMING BACK AS Messiah Ben- David!!!
