I just think if we start buying what you are selling, we will have also sold any hope for Having Him dwell within. How are we to die to self, and elevate our selves at the same time?

Our faith calls us to be humble servants, all for His Glory, not ours.

Can He heal us if we have enough faith? Well, He can do whatever He wants to do with or without our faith. Does our faith move mountains, sure. He says so. Does He say we will get whatever we ask, fulfilling the desires of our hearts, if we ask with a pure heart? Yes!!! However, a pure heart comes when He is the only true desire of our hearts. If we want the mountain that is Him, than He will move right in front of our eyes. Yes, it is all about Him. Ultimate healing is found in Him, dwelling in His Kingdom, and has nothing to do with our flesh.

Does He still do miracles, sure if that is His will... We would serve Him well, to remember to whom we belong.

We are matter, swooshing swiftly by and our lives are not about us, they are and always have been, and will always be about Him. If we want to soar, we can but only tandem on His back. We were never meant to fly solo.

This is why this person and people like him are dangerous. Here is a loving Godly woman, (Joni Eareckson-Tada) who has led MANY to christ and given so many HOPE because of her great faith. She spoke at my church a few years ago. And her message was powerful and affected so many people!

Yet evidently her faith is to weak to heal herself. And she must not be from God or she would be healed.

God, I thank you for our infirmaties.. So many. Of us myself included, have seen your power in those who have not been healed.. And so many, who suffer the same illness, have been strengthened and even come to christ, because of these dear sisters and brothers like Joni who do not see illness as a thing to be pittied. But as a hope which they can share..

I havent read all the posts. But thank you for bringing up this topic.
My question is..,is it the faith of the person who is afficted and needs healing thats important or the one thats laying hands on and praying for them?

Am just asking this because my mum was told by the doctors she has a cancer. Shes not a believer, although I do remember one time a few years ago she did ask me to pray for her when she was worried about it and the results came back fine, but this time she hasnt asked for any prayer and seems resigned to it. My prayer group have been praying for her (without her knowledge) but if she herself doesnt have any faith then what can we do? Shes my mum, I only have one mum in the flesh. The doctors want to burn it out with a needle and shes going into hospital this friday. Its in her liver. Also they want her to take drugs for the rest of her life to manage it.

I have experienced the healing power of Jesus and am alive today because of Him, he healed me of a thing called bipolar disorder/ manic depression which is a terrible condition that doctors dont have much clue on how to treat. I dont need to take any medicine/drugs anymore because Jesus is my bread of life.

You may be a son of God as stated in the bible but you are definitely not a god or God. As far as healing is concerned God heals those that He choses to heal regardless of faith.

People can lay hands on someone and then say that by the power of God that person is healed but what is supposedly healed is a headache, a backache or perhaps a hang nail, or maybe even a toothache, but that would probably require anointing with oil. They don't heal people that are blind or severely crippled with arthritis or replace a missing limb. In fact, in most cases, no such physical healing takes place. The person that does the healing might feel good about themselves but the patient is still sick.

God can heal me at any time but in the meantime I'll just pop a couple Advil and call it good. It's advanced medicine for pain.

I have seen God heal people and I have seen God not heal people

God gave us doctors.. Many times he heals us through doctors. Many times he heals us miraculously. Many times he says no. And doe snot heal at all.

We shoudl not question God no matter how he answers. We shoudl praise him knowing ALL things work together for the GOOD to those who love Christ.

Joni is in good health she did have a cancer scare a few years ago, the only thing is shes a parapelgic but that doesnt mean shes not healthy, God is using her as a vessel to reach out to those who are also disabled and their caregivers. I think shes asked many times why cant God just heal her and make her walk again but the how does that help her reach souls for Jesus who are in wheelchairs.

I am sorry, But being a quad is not healthy, It is a disease. Her body is sick, thats why it is paralised. Everythign else may be ok, but she is still sick.

Jesus came to the man who was like Jodi in the NT and told him to stand up and walk. Jesus healed him of his sickness.

And while I agree with everything else you said about why. This person says she should be healed. Thats my beef with health and wealth who will tell you Jodi does not have enough faith.

Yea i know but that a bit wishy washy for people who are needing some answers. If I thought that way I would be on drugs and a zombie now and thinking that was all God wanted for me. It depends on your walk and sometimes God will say my grace is sufficient for you..,sometimes suffering is needed for us to know what Jesus went through. Without it, we wont be able to overcome anything and have victory if we havent really had to go through something.

It doenst have to be physical suffering but there is also emotional suffering. And every woman whos given birth knows how painful labour can be.

God says we only need a mustard seed-sized faith. Not a cherry size, or apple size, or watermelon size..

We also must realise what God says yes to one person, it does not mean he will say yes to another

That might be her ministry as she understands and has lived paralysis. She will eventually be healed but perhaps not in her lifetime .Ultimately, her condition is for the glory of God as manifested in the people that she reaches out to despite being currently confined to a wheelchair. She is indeed a healing vessel of God and will one day walk again and marvel at the road that God allowed her to travel.

No i dont think so the OP is just talking about his experiences I dont think hes claiming that for everybody. Joni neck is broken I wouldnt say shes sick. My eyes are weak im shortsighted but my eyes are not sick. Weakness is not the same as disease. We are all weak in some areas not everyone is an ironman.
