Hello, my name is Holly. I'm 40 years old from Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. I'm a cook by occupation. I am a lover of music, comedy, old English literature, poetry, and cats.
I signed onto Christian chat because over the years I've been confused. I was raised as a Christian, but throughout my life, I've explored other beliefs. For the past few years I've considered myself an agnostic.
Also I am a very troubled person. I've dealt with social anxiety and depression most of my life. I am extremely shy of strangers, but once I get to know someone I'm extremely laid back.
Another reason I joined Christian chat is because I can't seem to find any other chat that is suitable to my taste. The internet is a very vulgar and outlandish medium for socializing. I consider myself a person who has very high moral standards.
Lastly, I joined this chat because, in all honesty, I feel like I'm being drawn to something and it has to do with God. I've struggled with confusion as to whether or not there is a god. For some reason, I feel some sort of presence guiding me to explore. I'm an extremely lonely and sheltered person. I don't have any friends or acquaintances other than a few people I've met online. Social anxiety is an emotionally crippling disorder. I don't know if I'm merely here for the sake of loneliness or to find some sort of hidden answer to life's most difficult questions. All I know is that I'm curious. Whatever it is that is driving me to explore my long lost Christian faith had brought me here.
I hope I get to meet some very good people here as well as make friends. I also hope that I will be welcome to spite my beliefs at this time.
Thank you for reading....

Hi Holly! Welcome to CC. Or should I say, the island of misfit toys!

We are all broken sinners here, looking for that person that will love us even though we are broken. Most of us here have found that person! His Name is Jesus Christ, and He loves YOU so much He died to fix your brokenness and pay for your sin, so that you can be with Him, in the Presence of His love, forever.

He has drawn you here and I pray you find Him.

Be Blessed!

Hello Holly, thank you for your interesting and informative introduction, and welcome to CC :)

This is an excellent place! (definitely safer for socializing, and far more helpful as far as finding answers to life's biggest questions goes, especially in comparison to the secular sites out there).

Praying for you! (that you find the answers you are looking for)

hub and I are very happy to see you seeking here at this Christian Site Holly, but just off of the bat,
please know that a self-proclaimed 'agnostic', has never experienced Jesus Christ High Moral Standards...
that said, it should be very encouraging to yourself that something inside of your worldly mind is seeking
something REAL for the first time in your life, the evidence is in your post - we encourage you to ask and observe
and inter-act with the many God Loving-God Fearing brothers and sisters who congregate here for fellowship and comfort,
and validation...

GBY, and welcome...

Greetings Holly welcome...
I think you will like it here in the cc and I pray that you find what you are looking for... Lots of amazingly honest, and gracious, sometimes outspoken and opinionated - but always loving, caring and giving of advice for those who are seeking prayer, friendship, support or just a break from their daily routine...
