My mom bought my sister a bran new car.... my sister is clean/tidy... her car "looked bran new", yet never had the oil changed in her old car.

Now I am a slob... I believe in living "confrontable".... when I finally run out of clean dishes, I will do the dishes... If you get in my car your feet don't hit the floor but the trash on the floor....

My mom has told me if I can keep my car clean she will buy me a new one too...

I took my car into the shop today to do the 60,000 mile maintenance...
I called my mom and compared myself to my sister... the person who takes care of the outside, letting go under the engine and vis versa...me....

She still said cleanness is next to godliness... lol... What ever my 2008 only has 58,000... I still have at least another 100,00,000... lol...

Now this is a true story and it made me think about the people that thinks someone can loose their Salvation because of sin others can see.

I honestly do not understand how you reconcile the sinner at the first of salvation and knowing we will never be without sin how we can lose our salvation in later years because we sin... even if the "floor is messy" and we try to "clean up or engine/heart"?

I honestly can not grasp losing ones salvation... Or more rightly what makes people think they can call someone else unsaved?

That's because it's not biblical, and is a means of using fear to manipulate others-even if some sincerely believe such nonsense.

If we could judge others so we could tell them they were or weren't saved we would be God, for even Jesus did not save anyone. It is through the blood of Jesus that we can have salvation, but it is God the Father who gives salvation.

Even in the Lord's prayer we are warned not to judge but to forgive others. It is only God's place to do the judging.

Always keep in mind, Jesus is also called Everlasting Father, God ddAlmighty, Comforter, Counselor, Ruler of Peace and more...…… He was only in the station of flesh until Hi resurrection…….followed by His glorified Body.

We must not presume to understand the nature of the great I Am.

Just wondering what happned to your sisters old 'new car' did she trade it in or give it to someone else. Why did she need a new one if her old one still looks new. And amaingly, how can your mum afford to buy you both new cars? Are they really cheap in your country or what.

Wow my mum would never even consider doing that, I had go save up to buy my own. My 'new car' was actually older and might have had more mileage but it was actually more quality than my older one. But I wouldnt have bought a brand new car theres no way I could afford it.

One of my friends bought this flash new car, had to pay finance on it, but she didnt get a mechanic to check it before she bought it, and it guzzled gas. Sometimes you cant talk sense to people about buying cars as they just want something right away, even ask you to pray to get finance. Well she paid dearly for it when it started conking out. Because she judged on appearances. Now shes got rid of it, sold it and bought an economical car she can afford. I dont want to say I told you so...but some people have to learn, its like the mum that buys a huge SUV thinking she can carry more children and groceries, but it drains her pocket cos everytime she drives it half her grocery money is spent on gas. I mean you dont need to buy a truck to carry your family in, just cos its got big tyres doesnt mean its safer, toddlers get run over on those things cos you cant see them backing out the driveway!

Anyway...sorry for my rant, just be sensible when buying a car and if you can, choose one that best fits for your needs not the one someone else picks out for you...unless you are going to share it. Am thinking what is this a three car household.....?

Yeah its how its supposed to go.

I wonder how the rebuking verses work with this thing.

Like this one:

James 5:20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

well, I cover a multitude of sins in the kitchen by letting greasy dishes soak first..then I scrubs 'em till they are shiny

I like shiny. maybe Christians should be shiny too...like 'let your light shine before men?'

I usually go for humor, but continue on to rebuke when I start to feel uncomfortable, like maybe there is more than flesh involved

Yep, if I were a fruit inspector, I might be more concerned with the inside than the outside, but I would check the inside to make sure that it matched the outside. And vis versa, it would be ideal if the outside were reflective of the inside.

This was just an anology but since you asked...

My mom (birth mother) is rich... I am not.... (My MOM ((step-mother)) moved home in January from cancer).

She has bought my sister and two nieces new cars.... but never me... and has given my sister 5 cars when she (mom) bought new ones....

I am a Christian, my sister is not...

We are Jews... my mom disowned me until her Orthodox husband died; we have only started talking and having a relationship since 2012. I got saved 1991.

So my mom and I are a MERICAL! AND IF I NEVER GET ANYTHING FROM THAT WOMAN A RELATIONSIP IS A NOUGH AND A MERICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one can say for sure, but....IT IS NOT UNBIBLICAL to judge ones gospel and if it has power to save or not

I understand and agree ... We are told to judge people by their fruit.... In fact the Bible says, " Bad company corrupts good behavior", and we are to excommunicate people who openly violate the Word of G-d (1 Corn). Yet, G-d holds the right and power to call the saved, "saved" and the unsaved, "unsaved", His own.... judge not unless you be judged....

I agree whole heartedly that our sin does not cause us to lose our salvation.. As long as we keep believing Jesus and keep trusting in the Atonement He secured for our salvation then we are saved, we are secure..

Great illustration, both cars are going to die. Because they wear out get old and need to be replaced.
Christ has bought an eternal people, pure, holy, blameless, without wrinkle or spot.

So how are you doing at getting to be like Jesus?
Or did you never understand that being like Jesus was the point?

So many think it is just getting a pass ticket to heaven and sin is just the rubbish we all do, so what.
Nice people stay nice with Christ, yes, duhhhhh. Nice people know why being loving and kind is
where life is, just not why sin and evil that stays unresolved kills them inside.

So yes people can lose their salvation but a lot have never found it.
If you believe you are fine where you are, how you are, have you ever met Jesus?
Read Matthew 5 to 7. Is this your heart beat and life or does it fill you with dread?

That will tell you were you are spiritually.

"I had to learn there was a difference between being saved and getting fully delivered"!
Getting saved is a start, but deliverance can help you get it right!!
Thank God, I have been 'delivered' from the torment of an addiction...( over two decades )
but, being human I fail many times by not being totally obedient...not one shall have
the capacity or the ability to be free of all of ones iniquities...self is easy to fool, is it not."
