God, the Holy Spirit, is that power graced upon us. Try works of God without Him….yosu will go nowhere.
Even as Jesus could do nothing without the Father, neither can we do any works of God without Jesus.
Joh 6:57
As the living Father hath sent me, and
I live by the Father:
so he that eateth me, even
he shall live by me.
Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for
without me ye can do nothing.
If God is the one doing the work, and He does, through the word of God, why did Jesus say "
ye" as in,
we, the believers in Christ, can do nothing without Him? He obviously was talking about godly works. Such as, healing the sick, casting out evil spirits, raising the dead, and the like.
How are they OUR works, when God is the one doing the work?
How are they OUR works, when it is ALL God's will and His doings, and none of ours?
Why call it OUR work in the first place, if He is the one doing everything?
If God is the one initiating, directing, orchestrating, and doing all the actual work, how can He even call it OUR work? Since truly, we are not the ones doing the work?
Could it be because, the faith of God within us, is dead, useless, and without effect, without a corresponding work we HAVE TO or MUST do to get God to do the supernatural work through or by the power of His word, which we must speak and/or send first?
Keep in mind, it IS THE WORD OF GOD ITSELF, THE SAME WORD WE SPEAK AND/OR SEND, THAT DOES THE SUPERNATURAL WORK.
God watches over and hastens to perform HIS word, NOT our.
And if we send forth His spoken word in faith, the same said word, goes forth to do what it was sent to do.
That is how I understand it to work.
It was the word of God that created and upholds all things. We are also save by the same said word of God.
And without JESUS, THE WORD OF GOD, THE TRUTH, being and abiding in us, we could do nothing. For it is the word we send that does the supernatural work.
The Faith of a Centurion
Mat 8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Mat 8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Mat 8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Mat 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but
speak the word [of faith] only, and my servant shall be healed.
Mat 8:9
For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Mat 8:10
When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you,
I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Mat 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion,
Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee [a universal law to all]. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
Luk 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
Luk 17:6 And the Lord said,
If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might
say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and
it [the word/servant/soldier you sent] should obey you.
Unworthy Servants
Luk 17:7 But
which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle,
will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
Luk 17:8
And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself,
and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
Luk 17:9
Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
Luk 17:10
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
THE WORD OF GOD WE SPEAK/SEND IN FAITH, IS THAT SOLDIER/SERVANT DOING THE WORK. THE SAME SOLDIER/SERVANT THAT CREATED THE WORLDS AND ALL THINGS IN EXISTENCE, BOTH SEEN AND UNSEEN.
And since the word of God is God, He, God Himself, through and by the spoken word of God, is therefore the one doing the work.
Even as we are the sender or master of the spoken word of God, or that which is sent, and even as a general or king of an army of soldiers, which are his servants, couldn't win a war without them, neither can we do anything without Jesus/the Truth/the Living Word of God.
And because we are the sender or master of the spoken word of God, even as the general or king gets the credit for the outcome of the war, and not the servants or the ones doing the actual work or fighting, Jesus therefore says, "Ye", the master or sender, can do nothing without me, giving us the credit for the work He did.
Again, that is what was revealed to me and how I understand it.
