I'm someone who is very creative and expressive. I need to express myself freely for this is my true essence. I am a beautiful frequency of life and inspiration. So I'm wondering how can I creative an out let for myself & how to fight this depression and emptyness that I feel. I write and I freely write and I create beautiful melodies of words and poems but I need something new, something to make me come alive and feel alive..

I do this often, express my thoughts and pour it down 🀷🌈 I'm a wonder ball of hopes can't help it, God gifted me but I want to use my gifts in every art form there is.. Hmm...
Inspiration is the heart of all my wonders.

Thanks God. ❀πŸ‘

I googled "abstract noun generator" and there are links like these

https://perchance.org/abstract-noun
https://www.getrandomthings.com/list-abstract-nouns.php

I find it useful to exercise one's creativity, by choosing "list 2 unique abstract nouns" and then let my intuition or mental association just "gut reaction" or "gut feeling" to see how those nouns relate or interact with each other, which can be helpful for self-discovery, and it's as interpretative as "an inkblot test"

and you can have fun seeing how many possible ways the abstract nouns can relate or interact with each other

for example: "glory, withdrawal"
that, one can become addicted to one's "sense of glory" that when it comes time for humility, there's withdrawal

or, "withdrawal, might be necessary for glory" which is biblical, (as another interpretation, of how two words interact with each other)

or some, like for example, these two nouns "victory, difference" the way the two words put together, it's so insightful like "victory is just a difference away"

this is relatively new, I'm trying my best to explain, but the intended desire is simple: Sunlight, may your potential be maximized

me: ...
God: you were deep in thought and at the same time, don't want to "over-exert" your mind
me: yep
God: you wonder how to relax your mind
me: I do
God: I see that you decide to share a prayer-dialogue to give sunlight77 more "ideas" and "art form"
me: exactly, and I decide to share it on this thread

Hi Sunlight!
I wonder, have you ever tried any other forms of "art"?
When I was younger I use to think of "art" as being something with crayons, paints, pencils etc.
Then I started seeing it as writing etc.
As I've gotten older I've come to the conclusion that pretty much anything you create is a form of "art". There's a unique touch that goes into things that only the one creating it can give.
Are you interested in any types of crafts? Anything you've ever thought of trying but haven't yet?
YouTube is a great place to watch how to videos and learn or get inspiration.
I'm often inspired by stories of people who have a talent (like knitting) and make things for those in need (hats, scarves, gloves, etc).
My daughter was a premie. One thing some nurses did was make baby blankets with fleece. The kind that the front and back are just tied together. It is a simple project yet gives them joy to make as much as it does to families to receive. My daughter still has hers, it's for her baby dolls now.
Blessings!

Hi dear, Thank you for the good tips, I also love people who knit and make hand-made items, I am a artist more in words and style more than the artful way like drawing or painting, but I do enjoy painting whenever I have time to do it. It creates a peaceful expression and outlet for me. I love EVERYTHING artful and beautiful.. ahh my heart grows so big for beautiful & inspirational things and people ( I am ALWAYS getting inspired). You should try knitting, I think you'll be good at it too :)

I have so many things on my "want to learn" list, lol. That's one of them. I know I don't have time to learn right now (if I had time I'd be using it on one of my many neglected hobbies lol) but someday I plan to learn.

Praise God for His leadings. As a child, i just would sing, play music, draw, and sometimes write. I did not dwell much of those, however, just did them. By high school and college, i still did but they were always on the wayside, as i thought i should be pursuing scientific (and real) stuff as my parents and most sibs have done. In time i realized the gifts were from the Lord, and no need denying them. I have stopped drawing for many yrs, but abt 5? yrs ago, i tried to draw something again, and thought, Why, i can still draw! I only painted or used colors for a little time, but when i did recently, something i thot so hard--i see it can be done!

There was a chance to play (an inexpensive) violin, and suddenly i see i could learn it too, w/o a teacher. But i prefer to have one to show how to do it better (techniques), and i need a better violin too to sound better hehe. As i mentioned in another thread just now, i also like to read God's word aloud, wc i cannot always do now. But doing so reminds me of one grade school recording a play at the local radio station. I can still sing one song we did then! At times i felt guilty not doing what others expected of me (even my husband). Then i just offered what i could do to the Lord and hope in His time, that in all my labor (of love, even while learning to play a musical instrument), there'd be profit!

Something i'm learning abt being creative... it's good to have 'outlets,' but it's better when we can share these w/ others (as in a greeting card, a song or poem offering in church or w/ ppl who also appreciate it, etc.).

The real me is a Southern girl with her Levis on and an open heart
Wish I could save the world, like I was super girl

I can let my hair down
I can say anything crazy
I know you'll catch me right before I hit the ground

You speak and it's like a song
And just like that, all my walls come down

Now I can be myself
