David deemed God's hand in all things pertaining to him; even the bad things. This is God we are talking about. Saying He allows it, is the same thing as Him doing it.

Psalms 39:9-13 "I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it. Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand. When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah. Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.”
this Psalm seems to be talking about "when Thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity" ((v.11)) -- not about evil and injustice.

not all that man considers 'bad things' are bad. a belligerent child accuses their parents of wrong when they discipline him or her, but that belligerent child is wrong, lacking understanding.

how could it ever have been 'eternal' if it is 'lost' ?

that would be 'temporary'
seriously.
if you ever '
run out' of an 'infinite supply' of something, one of two things has happened: either you did not actually run out or there was not actually an infinite supply. in either case you were in error.

The supply is infinite as long as the door is kept open. if you close the door, the supply is still there waiting to flow again.

It is not our right to the supply it is GRACE.

If we step out side of the grace then We have chosen to not want that gift.

Have you not read?

Isaiah 22:22
The key of the house of David I will lay on His shoulder; So He shall open, and no one shall shut; And He shall shut, and no one shall open.

Revelation 3:7
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, 'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens

you really think you can shut what He opens?

You must then accept that if a majority of voters choose an evil way, it is God's will?

I prefer to take this back to the kind of government God established that man should follow.

Romans 13:1-7 (KJV)
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

The government style God endorsed is a righteous government identified by those verses. No unrighteous style of government is indicated as according to His will, since many are devoid of those standards. Israel paid many prices for tolerating unrighteous rulers over them who defied the will of God.

A common reaction is to follow willy-nilly according to majority will, such that it requires the blood of self, children, children's children, somewhere up-line resulting in payment of another generation of human blood to right the prevailing government that resulted from the insanity of previous generations.

Might all angels in Heaven have lived in the midst of eternal blessing, yet some lost that state to be subject to eternal curse by following the one angel who rebelled?

I believe everything God has to do with it eternal in His sphere, while man is tied to time plus eternity. There is eternal blessed, and eternal cursed. There is scriptural cross-over beginning with rebellion of a third of the angels. So how might mankind be immune to similar choices as to status with God?

There is eternal death, and eternal life. Each is based on choices, all of which are eternal, never ending. One may choose eternal life with God if in agreement with His conditions. I doubt you can take that to a lifetime of sin choices, then find yourself the 14th apostle front row eternal citizen of Heaven, as Satan (Lucifer) might hold out for last minute.

Why pray to God, or even expect anything from Him we are taught by His word? Why pray His will be done on earth as in Heaven? Was Jesus deluded? Who would have grounds to believe that evil stuff happens all around His throne in Heaven, saints diseased, insane, perverts, poor, etc. ?

I see that statement/question as a spin....why?
I'll answer you both with this: I am just trying to show you how David thought, no spin, just speculation on his thought process.:)

[for me anyway] it is a matter of what the Lord Jesus Christ tells us and nothing wavering, saying "Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness" ... "having no part dark". (Luke 11:35-36)

Well newton, all this shows us you have a tendency to overthink things. Yes, God reigns over everything and nothing happens unless He wills it. When we have bad, or even evil, leaders God has allowed but did not micro-plan or connive it into happening. It is more like a case of cause and effect and bad leaders people bring on themselves.

When we are dealing with God, we must understand everything follows His preordained path. It's like predestination and choice. God knows the end from before the beginning, but He does not hinder our choosing things. God knew about mankind's fall and all the evil throughout history, but He does not will it. Our finite minds can't comprehend how all this works together, but God works all the bad things out for the overall good of His chosen ones.

Rom. 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."(y)
I agree! We still have been given free will of choice and as you have said he allows certain things to be but I b believe as well He doesn't orchestrate them ! Even satan can only hinder,he can not ovecomer God's perfect will ! That is whom has ALL authority over my walk in this passing life and I live NOT in fear of powers that be! Thank you.

If we consider the master watchmaker. He knows in advance just how each part will perform and interact with all the tother parts.

Our Father has made us, given us free will, and yet without causing mankind to do anything He knows in advance what mankind will do without including the Creator in their plans. He is God. He nned not study the creation to understand idt. He created it in all wisdom, knowledge and understanding not needing any kind of a manual or the thinking of His cretures to help Him in any manner.

So when we understand future events from the Word, it is becaus it is given to us to understand. No man can figure out a code or a system to interpret His prophecies for He tells the individual.

We are headed for some very enormous fulfillments but I cannot say what they will be. Bit coin, digi-cash etc...….just a tiny step to a world economy without cash, just imaginations of movers and shakers, you know, demons. God has already wo, and so have we, His children as log as our faith isin Him and not in the code breakers' ways and means.
