If God is real, why is the world so bad? I see Christians and I wonder if their God is like any other God like Buddah or an Egyptian God. I grew up around many Christians, but they really hurt me badly in a lot of experiences. I don't want to open up to them or talk about things or go to church because the Christians I know turn angry very quickly. I used to get very upset, but now I feel so used to it it's like I'm numbed to it. I don't think about God the same way at all. How is the Bible and God and Christians different than other religions is what I'm trying to say I guess?

[for me anyway] the difference is that in true Christianity the true Christian denies their own will, that they submit to and rely upon the Word of God which is the will of God: and that by denying our own will we then shall also own our sin, because our own will will no longer be an obstruction to excusing our sin.

God did not make the world bad, us humans did.

Sin was the cause for the shift, and the reason sin and wickedness is still around today is because God is loving and merciful ... but He is also perfect and just so all "bad" will be dealt with in the perfect time of an all knowing creator.

Do not let man or supposed christians make you turn from God, if you were drawn to Christ... praise God because He sent you Himself.

How is the inspired word of God different from other religions?

Well most of mans religions or doctrines from the enemy will say "YOU must do this and do that and then you can be saved"

Where as Gods word says Jesus did it all and salvation is a gift freely given by faith through grace.

Our walk will indeed change our effectiveness though... we are supposed to be shining examples of His love in us, not turn those looking for truth away in anger.

We also aren't promised an easy life filled with worldly possessions or things, not tempted with fleshly pleasures like some false religions would have you believe.

We are promised eternal life, a new heart with new desires, a quickened spirit and power to do the things He would have us do.

Don't let man influence how you feel about God... unless His name is Jesus... cause He is God😃

please post more threads on questions you have... see this through

check back to Gods word

and if you are honest with yourself, and also pray to God for His truths He would want you to see

in time you will have a saving faith in our Lord Jesus

there is nothing which will keep you from Him.... I was an unbeliever who started reading the bible in hopes to find an error in "Christianity" at one point

Don't be discouraged

there are many believers who still dont know how to act

and also false believers who have not been made new.... goats mixed in with the sheep

tares mixed in with the wheat

Because Gods creation was sabotarged by an angel called lucifer who is now known as satan or the devil.. The world is so bad because it is populated by millions of faulty people like you am me..

I see Christians and I wonder if their God is like any other God like Buddah or an Egyptian God.
There is only one God.. The God of Abraham.. The God of the Holy Bible..

I grew up around many Christians, but they really hurt me badly in a lot of experiences.
Well Christians are the same as all other peoples.. They are faulty and because of this some of them can be nasty.. But we do not judge a religon by those that claim to believe it.. We judge a religion on what that religions teaches..

I don't want to open up to them or talk about things or go to church because the Christians I know turn angry very quickly.
You may find one or two like that in CC unfortunatly.. But we have an ignore setting that we can used to block such people..

I used to get very upset, but now I feel so used to it it's like I'm numbed to it. I don't think about God the same way at all. How is the Bible and God and Christians different than other religions is what I'm trying to say I guess?
Umm hard question because it is hard to know where to start..

I guess a basic difference is that in most other religions gaining the rewards offered by those religions is done my the adherents doing stuff.. Like good deeds or meditation or avoidance of doing bad deeds or taking part in prayer or religious ceremonies or abstaining form certain foods or drinks.. Basically most religions are about a transaction between the religious person and God.. If you do , do, do, do for God then God will do, do ,do for you.. Most religions are about working hard to attain a certain level of goodness so as to earn a payment from God as in blessings or a better life after death..

Christianity is about God offering forgiveness as a gift that all people can accept by believing God and trusting that the gift will see them forgiven all their bad doings..

So in most religions people strive and work hard to be good enough to merit their Blessings..
In Christianity people attain the Blessings because they have been justly forgiven all the things they have done that make them unworthy of those Blessings..

God sees those who will in time believe on Christ and be saved from the just punishment they deserve through His righteousness

(just to expand a bit more on this point, obviously I can't know His reasons but this to me does seem to ring true... He set His prophecy when He did for more than just that though I'd bet)
vvv
the reason sin and wickedness is still around today is because God is loving and merciful ...

2 things I think make us different

1. Our salvation depends on the work of God not our own work
2. Our motivation to live righteous lives is out of love for others, not out of duty or coercion (do this or else)

And God did not make the world bad. Mankind did, When we left God at the fall. We were forced to take care of our own needs, this made us selfish, and demanding, and caused us to do whatever it took to satisfy our own needs, even at the expense of others. Which is the opposite of what God created us for. And wants to do for us

Sadly in these last days, the love of others is growing cold as prophesied, The world is getting so greedy, they it is just going to get worse not better.

But also remember, God has not forgotten us, He will repay. He is just waiting for those of us who have not recieved him yet.

If you have not, I pray you open up to him, and ask him to show you his true love, and you become part of our family

The main difference I beleive is the "source" of living faith of Christ's "as it is written".

Wrote on you could say two tablets of stone .The Old and New testament as one perfect law. The law and the prophets. I would beleive as the two witnesses. For believers… What the deaf ears hear and what the blind eyes see.

Isaiah 29:18And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

The law of faith in Exodus 20 below . Now having put the fear of a living God in the hearts of the pagan Israelites. They insisted that Moses, typified as the law giver... was the high priest.

And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not
God speak with us, lest we die.And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. Exodus 20:19-20

There the Spirit of Christ comforted them giving them understanding how faith works as a law. again...for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. Face to face or faith to faith in the knowledge that God has revealed through his word .

And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.And the Lord said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen (by faith) that I have talked with you from heaven. Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. Exodus 20:21-23

We do not know Him in respect to the rudiments of this world. What the eyes see the temporal.

God did use the Jews to represent unbelieving (no faith) mankind , giving over to them that which he should not of because of their jealously of the surrounding nations. .This is when there were kings in Israel. The time of reformation has come that period of time used as a parable had to come to its end.. We walk by faith as in the previous period of Judges. Looking by a living hope not of our own selves to the things not seen the eternal.

You would do well to learn basic English sentence structure and grammar, as I have suggested several times previously. At least then your posts would be easier to read.

I'm sorry you have experienced this from those that call themselves a Christian. So what IS a Christian?

At it's essence, a Christian is someone who has been born again. A person that has heard THE Gospel unto Salvation, has believed it, and has been given a NEW heart and made a NEW creation from above. A Christian is NOT some one who treats people well. Although they should. A Christian is NOT someone who does good deeds. Although that is what we were saved to do and should do. A Christian is not even someone who follows Jesus. Although that is exactly what we do because we are His Children and He will guide and correct our steps to follow Him.

EVERY other religion, including false christianity, in the world in some fashion relies on what the PERSON has done or will do, to earn or work your way to Heaven. The True, Born Again Child of God is going to heaven BECAUSE of what JESUS did and is doing!

So here is THE Gospel unto Salvation. I pray you accept him!

God wrapped Himself in human flesh in the form of His Son, Jesus the Messiah. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin. He suffered, was crucified, and died to pay OUR sin debt. He was raised to life from the grave to prove He had defeated death. If you confess Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that His Father resurrected Him to Life on the 3rd day, you WILL be saved. You will be filled, and sealed with the Holy Spirit, who will empower ALL to turn from their sins. The sin of adultery, lying, stealing, homosexuality, gossip, slander, drunkenness, covetousness, etc... He will also equip you to love like He did and do good works.

The thing that keeps me on my knees is the difference between Grace and Karma. You see, at the center of all religions is the idea of Karma. You know, what you put out comes back to you: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, or in physics — in physical laws — every action is met by an equal or an opposite one. It’s clear to me that Karma is at the very heart of the universe. I’m absolutely sure of it.

And yet, along comes this idea called Grace to upend all that ‘as you reap, so you will sow’ stuff. Grace defies reason and logic. Love interrupts, if you like, the consequences of your actions, which in my case is very good news indeed, because I’ve done a lot of stupid stuff.”

Most people don't listen to God.

I see Christians and I wonder if their God is like any other God like Buddah or an Egyptian God.
Buddhists don't believe in God. They don't believe in a supreme being. Today, most Egyptians (and other Arabs) are Muslims. Muslims don't believe that God came into this world as a man named Jesus.

I grew up around many Christians, but they really hurt me badly in a lot of experiences. I don't want to open up to them or talk about things or go to church because the Christians I know turn angry very quickly. I used to get very upset, but now I feel so used to it it's like I'm numbed to it.
I was a bad example of what a Christian is also. I'm sorry for that.

I don't think about God the same way at all.
How do you think about God?

How is the Bible and God and Christians different than other religions is what I'm trying to say I guess?
The Old Testament foretold Jesus's birth and ministry. Read what the New Testament says about him. If you obey him, then you'll know.

Because we have free will.
but who gave it?

to say world is bad because two humans sinned in the beginning and continue to do so. God wasnt forced to curse all of humanity and animalkind and the earth itself with disease, pestilence, pain, suffering, lack of clean drinking water, etc. etc.

the real answer is: God chose to make everything our enemy. why? i dont know. but i definately pin it all on God, always everything can be traced back to God. God could destroy the devil right now if He wanted to, but He chooses not to, therefore the reason the devil exists and does what he does, is because of God. i dont know why, but i believe God has a purpose for that too, show His holiness in the end. or something like that. teach us a lesson.

how did God design free will?

I mean, it defies natural "cause and effect", stimuli and default response

whether God has free will or not, how can free will be created? to create is to cause creation of something, hmm ...

I heared often the saying: christians can disapoint you. Christ never!
Thats the point.
I suppose we all are not without mistakes and tend to hurt others with words, reactions and in deeds. So closer we want to live with our Lord Jesus so more we care to see the people like he did.
In germany are 95% of the people who call himself christians only name christians because they were baptized as babys. But never made the step to follow Jesus. And trust him and become bornagain.
But for the world they are christians. How they can act as christians then?
Without having the Holy Spirit inside?

And we who are norn again and want to follow Jesus are not free from sin. And we can hurt other christians, too.
So, the best is to see that Jesus only is worth to trust to, but we as humans can fail, even if we dont want.
Compare to other religions? Show me where is a God who loves us so much as Jesus father it does?

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity(depart from sin by the Spirit).
2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour(there will be hypocrites).
2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

1Co 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity(love in action).

1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1Co 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind(does not belittle people); charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up(not arrogant),
1Co 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own(not selfish), is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1Co 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth(hates sin, and does not want sin, and abstains from sin by the Spirit);
1Co 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1Pe 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Php 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Php 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Charity, love in action, is greater than faith, and hope, and love does not belittle anyone, and does not exalt themselves above other people, which some may do being arrogant for living for God against the world, and some even against other saints, but God said that people that think they are holier than thou is a stench in His nostrils, and He resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble.

There will be hypocrites, and there is no such thing as a hypocritical christian for a person cannot be a hypocrite, and a Christian at the same time, and a Christian is only someone who acts like Christ.

And Jesus said the hypocrites do not belong to Him, which if they fall short of loving people then they are a hypocrite, so only people that act like Christ can belong to the Church.

So there is no difference between Christianity and a Christian, for only people that act like Christ, a Christian, can belong to Christianity, the Church, and all the rest are hypocrites, which in a great house there is some to dishonor, so God said there would be some rascals not doing right running around claiming Christ.

But although there may be hypocrites a saint might sin if they desire to sin, but all sin can be forgiven, but it is not an excuse, so if they do err at some point, they might correct it, and repent, and not want to do it again.

So we should not count people out that act wrongly towards us for they could get rid of the behavior repenting of the errors of their ways.

It is all about their attitude concerning Christianity that determines if they are led of the Spirit or not, and only those led of the Spirit can conduct themselves properly, and they have the right attitude concerning sin, for those led of the Spirit will know it is wrong, and those not led of the Spirit will hold unto sin, and think they are alright, so their behavior might not change, or not that much, although they would of toned it down, but a little leaven leavens the whole bunch, and we must allow the Spirit to lead us to be like Christ.

And there is no excuse if we do not act like Christ, but some make an excuse.

2Ti 3:4 lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Not everyone that claims Christ is led of the Spirit, and they do not have the right attitude concerning Christianity, for they will hold unto sin, and enjoy sin, and think they are alright with God.

Where people with the Spirit know they cannot sin and be alright with God, and if they do sin they will repent, and get rid of it, and not hold unto it, and move forward.

So you will encounter many Christians, and there is many of them, that will enjoy the world as the world enjoys it, and will not treat people right at times like they should.

But the hypocrites, or hypocrisy that is but a short moment and corrected, do not have any bearing towards Christianity to give it a bad name, and people should not think badly of Christianity because of their wrongful behavior, for the hypocrites do not belong to the Church, and the holiness of Jesus still applies today.

And God is real, but He gave us a choice, for His kingdom is true love, and the problems on earth come from people that make wrong choices, and natural disasters get worse as the world's rebelliousness gets worse, which people will get worse as time goes on in selfishness, and arrogance, for that is the direction the world is going.

The world is bad because sin entered it shortly after creation. God, in due time, will make the world right again. You asked a good question regarding the state of the world. Glad to have you as part of our community. Welcome to CC.

in the heavenly university, we have all eternity to learn concepts we are curious of but are not able to learn, therefore, it will eventually be learned, posthuman will be there, and he can take as much time with christ-like patience to teach, ... a wonderful private visit to the teacher, wow

i love you so much. this calms me down to not worry and think why this why that.

its not for us to know what God has done from beginning to end. amen. God does what He pleases, saves and damns who He wants.

but what does it mean He has put eternity into man's heart?
