Nobody said God is powerless and nobody said God is inactive. God is active indeed but active in the hearts of men.

Luke 17:20When asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God will not come with observable signs. 21Nor will people say, ‘Look, here it is,’ or ‘There it is.’ For you see, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

"No observable signs" has no other meaning apart from "no observable signs". So a kingdom with observable signs is surely not the kingdom of God.

But you should discern times, during Jesus' times, God worked outwardly, so the verse you quoted is right for that time and not these end times.

You quoted out of context if you read the rest it refers to the days of Noah.
How the flood came and destroyed everything but people continued to
eat drink marry etc, The verses are about the end days when Jesus returns.
In other words repent now before it’s too late etc.

It was nothing at all to do with God working miracles in this day and age.
Quite honestly if a person doesn’t believe, if they are not swayed by the
Holy Spirit then no amount of miracles will cause them to believe.
That’s exactly what happened in Jesus’ time, He performed many Miracles but
people still refused to believe and asked for a sign!

However that didn’t detract from the fact the miracles were happening. It
still is the same today, miracles happen yet people refuse to believe and still
ask for signs. But miracles do still happen! The verses in no way nullify the
genuineness of miracles, they are about the unbelief of people!

Ps examples I’ve seen, felt and witnessed.

1) Earlier this year I was having problems with my hip and leg, it had been ongoing for
a while and I was getting to the point of worrying it might be arthritis in my hip.
The hip pain was causing me to walk funny which in turn was putting strain on my
name and knee.

Then in one Sunday service, the pastor said he felt a need to prayer for someone
with a problem in their left leg and hip. Wow I wondered if it was me. Anyway
he prayed. After the service I walked into town about a 10 min walk and realised the
pain and gone. I continued to walk around town for a good few hours - no pain.
A few weeks later still no pain, in fact I’ve had no pain since! I posted it as a testimony on
the church Facebook page.

2) Around 10 years ago a developed a hard bony lump at the base of one finger it was
painful every time I knocked it. I had it for a few months and it was getting worse.
Again I worried it was arthritis. I felt prompted to pray about it and forget it so I did.
Then a few weeks later I suddenly realised the lump had gone and it’s never come back.
It wasn’t a blister or any kind of soft tissue problem it was a definate bony lump.

3) I was healed of Graves’ disease 10 years ago (over active thyroid). My levels were so
high they were off the scale and couldn’t be measured. That was a gradual healing.
One night I had a dream that I was stood in a field and a man with curly short hair came
up to me and said it’s finished! That week I went to the hospital for more tests and I
Was told my thyroid levels were the best they had been for a long time. From that point on
the healing process commenced. Why it was a gradual instead of instant healing I don’t
know but I do know that I learnt a lot about myself and God during that time in my life.

4] last week a woman was healed in my church. She was scheduled for surgery on her
knee. In the service knees were prayed for. She was healed instantly and came back to
tell everyone the surgery was cancelled as no longer needed.

5) Around winter last year a man in a wheel chair was healed over two services.
By the end of the first one he could stand and walk/hobble. By the end of the second
one he was running up and down the church! Why it took two services I don’t know
maybe it was God’s way of blessing others.
Watch it here

I don’t care what anyone else thinks, I know my God is powerful and I know
miracles still happen. 🙂

When does the Kingdom of God come?
Matt 3:1In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea 2and saying, “Repent, forthe kingdom of heaven is near.”

Matthew 4:17
From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

Matthew 10:7
As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.'

Mark 1:15
"The time is fulfilled," He said, "and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel!"

Luke 10:9
Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.'

Luke 10:11
Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off as a testimony against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.'

Luke 23:42Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” 43And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

And when does Jesus return:

Heb 10: 25Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. .....
35So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward. 36You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. 37For,
“In just a little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.

Jesus and Paul talking to 1st century people giving them hope. There's no way they meant 21st century and counting.

Luke 17:20When asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God will not come with observable signs. 21Nor will people say, ‘Look, here it is,’ or ‘There it is.’ For you see, the kingdom of God is in your midst.

If Jesus wanted, He would have said "..the kingdom of God will be in their midst..". If it was to be be 21st century and counting.

Here is another example.
There has been a real out pouring and moving of the Holy Spirit in my city
for the last few years. Not just my church but many God believing churches

why do you think NOT 21st century. God changes not! Not one word He speaks does He retract! His promises are until He has finally judged all sinful men.. Im loving you in the spirit of love that we are commanded. May you see His SONSHINE in your heart!

Because the words 'near', 'Today', 'not delay' can not mean 2000 years + putting in mind that it was being spoken to people and they never thought "...well, this is not meant for us but 21st century people".

There are two “nears”.

The first when Jesus triumphed on the cross and the Holy Spirit was poured out.
I’m that sense the kingdom of God is here already, the Holy Spirit lives on the inside of us
we are the temple of the Holy Spirit But we still have corruptible bodies and we are still
being sanctified. We are justified when born again but the sanctification process is life long.

Then there is the second near when Jesus will return some day and we will receive
incorruptible bodies. The bible refers to both.

I have seen the 11 min video and my reaction is, how do you bring yourself to believe such a story?

Don't you ask yourself about those believers that have suffered and succumbed to terminal diseases despite praying everyday? What about those infants that die young from deadly diseases despite believers praying? Are their prayers not good enough?

What about Muslims that have been healed from such after praying to their god?

2 Thess 2:9The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of Satan, with every kind of power, sign, and FALSE wonder, 10and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them.

We walk daily believing every WORD is to ME or we should. The Holy Spirit is my sifte,if areas of the word are not applicable to my life today He sifts them into right order, but we MUST have ALL the ingredients to be al FULLY well-done believer!

Do you also believe these words were meant for you:

John 14:12Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

And, what are you doing greater than the creator of heavens and earth?

I have no answers for why some people are healed and others aren’t.
I myself have things I have not been healed of and in no way am I
one of the name it and claim it brigade. God’s ways are higher than our,
His thoughts deeper than ours etc.

As for how can I believe, well apart from the 11 min video I have either
experienced the others myself, seen them first hand or know of the people
who it happened to and there is no way anyone can possible convince me
it was not God.

Yes I do believe ever word Jesus spoke.... greater works......we know that we dont earn or work for our salvation, but we work expressing His love that others may also see.......greater as in not limited to a certain populace or area ...we have acesss to much of the world that He did not, furthermore the FRUIT if a christian is ANOTHER christian....we bear our own kind!🙏🙏🙏🙏

Good advice from God; we are not supposed to go by sight or experience but understanding and perseverance.

And what are we to do with these:

Psalm 116:
15Precious in the sight of the LORD
is the death of His saints.

Isa 57:
1The righteous perish,
and no one takes it to heart;
devout men are swept away,
with none considering
that the righteous are guided
from the presence of evil.

2Those who walk uprightly enter into peace;
they find rest, lying down in death.

So Himself says, He guides his righteous from evil in this world through death but some say that is not good enough and have to seek faith healers?!

But why did Jesus and Apostles heal in the 1st century?

Heb 2:
3how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?

This salvation was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4and was affirmed by God through signs, wonders, various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will.

These was done so that the gospel is preached to ends of the earth. The gospel was preached to the ends of the world so no more God given miracles.

Col 1:23ifindeed you continue in your faith, established andfirm, not moved from the hope of the gospel you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creationunder heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

I would add. Never as in never .We walk by faith .

Near would be like Hebrews 6

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame Hebrews 6 :4-6

HE SAID IT,I DIDNT! All I have to do is believe and accept. HE wouldnt have said it if it wasnt to be truth! I give and will give an account to Him on what I have or have not done in,for and of Him! I truly count myself......least in his kingdom! There are those who are far more knowledgable, wiser, gifted and able than I.
