I saw another thread like this and it looks like it was dead and then came back. The notion is yes we are singles. Yes we are talking. But we are not actively scoping each other out. Y’all wanna flirt take it somewhere else. 🤣

Just talk. About anything. Nothing. I know I’ll probably throw quite a lot of random stuff in here.

I think if a thread was one on one, you would say get a room and then it would be a PM.

But thats not really a date. We dont really do fun things like go out to dinner or walks or anything on this forum...and none of us get dressed up lol. Im finding flirting really annoying actually.

Im no good at it, because it ends up like a competition who can say the most outrageous line. Also...when men try to flatter me just because im female, I dont really know how to respond half the time. Am i meant to compliment them back and say stuff about how they look as well or what. Or do I just say but thats how I look anyway thanks for noticing and having eyes. Yes im female and beautiful. All women are beautiful arent we its just our nature to look like this. Lol

Guys are weird. Like I had this dude comment how I looked and like whistled at me (we were indeed dating at the time) and I kinda hated it. But then he wanted ME to compliment him on his appearance too in the same way.

Like bruh if I don’t like getting comments about my physique I sure as shooting am not gonna throw it back even if that is what you want. Nah man nah.

Random stuff, hmm, did you know the Mitsubishi van has been in production since 1997? And the best selling vehicle is the Toyota Hilux pickup here in Australia? Also the Toyota Hiace Van is in the top ten best sellers list? Your welcome

We don't call pickups (called utes in Australia, IE utility vehicle) trucks here. A Kenworth is a truck

Did you know, if your a hiace driver who delivers goods, the last delivery goes on board first, and the first delivery goes on last? Get your head around that one

"'Guys' are weird", then proceeds to give an example using One guy. As if women don't fish for compliments on their looks.

'Women are weird'. I knew one whose date showed up, went to her door, they came out. He got in his car and, without warning or explanation she walked back inside.
Turns out since he didn't open the car door for her the adult way to handle it was to go inside without explanation.
Personally I find that much more weird than fishing for a compliment.

There is a video I stumbled across on YouTube . Some guy in the USA went on a blind date, picked her up, took her to a nice restaraunt. This was the conversation. Her, that car you have, how much are the payments? Do you own your own home? Whats the pay like in your line of work? Have you ever been married? Got Kids? The guys was so peeved he went home and left her there. According to the youtube comments, its not uncommon to have such behaviour on dates.

No I agree that is super weird too. I mean it would be one thing being annoyed someone doesn’t do something for you, fine. But just turning around and leaving without explanation? That’s just rude.

I never understand when people react to what they assume as rude behavior with something that is infinitely more rude.

Sadly you can definitely tell she’s concerned about money and stability. She wants a bank account not a man. And especially not a relationship or a MARRAIGE for that matter.

Sadly to many that is the norm now...people want a meal ticket. Sad...

Thats sad about the rude girl but also the rude guy who was fishing for compliments. Its not just one guy, lots of guys I found are like that.

There doesnt seem to be any agreed rule book on how to date without embarassing oneself or the other person. Total awkwardness all round.

Why not just be normal and treat each other like brothers and sisters ya know?!

Maybe we just gotta great eachother like people first and possible relationships later. I dunno...

Anyway. Hope everyone is enjoying their evening. I had sushi for dinner and it was awesome. Managed to get a little wasabi on a piece of it though and GOLLY it feels like tiny pins on your tongue. Definitely not a “flavorful” spice.

It's morning here, as I am retired at a relatively young age, I can sit in front of the computer over breakfast before the day starts. As it's winter here it's rather cold outdoors with rain expected this afternoon

Oh it’s winter? Wow it’s summer here! Nice and hot (blech) in the morning so iced coffee often tends to be a good starter.

Oh and I just saw your thing about the truck too! 😁😁 Gives a good reference to “The first will be last and the last will be first.”

Believe me, many new delivery drivers have put the first delivery on board first with disastrous consequences. When I first was told that I thought they were teasing me.

I thought it was a washing machine. No, wait, that's a Kenmore and not a Kenworth. I guess it's an Aussie thing.
