Hi everyone! I just joined today. I’m hoping to find some support and community with fellow Christ followers. Especially with those who have some of the same struggles as me. I am a mess. I have suffered from anxiety and depression most of my life. I am also dealing with the long-term affects of my husbands alcohol and porn addictions. Thankfully, he acknowledges his problems and is in recovery. We are also talking to a counselor regularly. However...I am still really struggling to forgive and get past the pain of what I/we have gone through during our marriage of 10 years. There are a lot of deep wounds and resentment. It has even caused me to struggle in my faith... but I am still hopeful God can heal everything. Anyways, thanks for listening. :)

I hope you find the encouragement, fellowship and support that you need. I suggest that you start a thread in the Family forum regarding your situation.

Hi Jenn and welcome to CC. You should also post your concerns in the Ladies or Family Forums for a lot more responses. What I say is we are told to not 'relive' the past wounds, sin and such but to keep our eyes and hearts on our futures. 'Forget the former things, see I am doing a new thing' Isa 43:18-19.
The time we spend dwelling in the past is actually wasting our valuable time doing God's will in our lives. The enemy wants us to think we are defeated, but we NEVER are when we put our trust in God and stay grounded in His Word, God bless

First of all, Jesus loves you and we do too. Congratulations on staying married for 10 years through thick and thin. Life is indeed a battle, but Jesus promises that we shall wear a victor's crown with Him someday. I will pray with you and for your husband and marriage. All things are possible with and through Him that shed His lifeblood for us. God bless you and welcome to CC, dear sister.

Heavenly Father, we pray on behalf of our sister Jenn that this heavy cloud is lifted off her life and that she is healed. Help her forgive. Deliver her out of temptation, keep her feet, lift up her head and restore her completely, Jesus. You are the only one who is able to restore what the locust have eaten, and to make a destroyed place like the garden of Eden. We hold onto your promises. Amen
