Hello I am new and I have a HP computer, intel inside core 13. hp pavillion. what do I click on to download chat & other things?

well it would have been nice to chat but i can do the forums just the same, i guess the forums are not any different then the chat are they? you post some thing and someone replies to it? Is chat just a big forum?
