John Knox believed in perserverance of the saints These here call that works salvation. So either you don’t agree with Knox or you don’t agree with these

In fact these people would call him a false teacher, because I hold the same view of preservation as he, and they accused me of being a works Salvationist for that very thing
If you agree with Knox on the meaning of preservation, that makes a works Salvationist here. I know. I have been accused of works salvation.

Did Knox teach that a Christian can fornicate and not be a fornicator because all things are now lawful for us? If he didn’t, according to some of these, he did not understand grace
James 1:26
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

Guys (and gals) I'm starting to see a lot of reported posts out of this thread again and is usual, some of the persons reporting posts are far from innocent themselves. This is a reminder to argue the opinions, not the opinion holders. I'm seeing a lot of name calling recently (liar, hypocrite, etc) which is unnecessary, detracts from the topic, and degrades the thread.

So do you agree with

A. Believers can fornicate and not be fornicators because all things are now lawful

B. Do you believe that 1 Cor means that fornicators, liars, and adulterers who do not repent may go to heaven, they just will not inherit

C. Do you believe that unrepentant fornicators, adulterers, liars, idolators, those who practice such things, and never repent, have eternal life?

D. Do you believe that 1 John 3:9 is talking about only the new nature, and not the christian

Are these things gospel?

Ephesians 4:29-32
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

I guess you think challenging someone’s doctrine is corrupt communication. Can you let me know if you agree with the points I posted. Remember what the moderator just said. Address the content, not the poster. So can you tell me if you agree with the four statements I listed in my my last pist

Thank you GraceThroughFaithInChrist for your reproving posts. I will ponder them, try to learn from them, and ultimately act according to the Spirit. But I admit, I don’t play well with Pharisees and false accusers.

What is the policy for deliberate misrepresentation. I have a clear instance of misrepresentation where I clearly stated a belief, then was accused of saying the opposite, and then when I called the person it, he said, I never said that, and told me to go to a psychiatrist.

If someone does that, is it still wrong to accuse him of lying. Because I have a clear undisputable case I can present. Or does it not matter that a person can misquote you and then deny it, and assault your character in the process

Is there any way a determination can be made on this? It’s the only reason I said “liar”. And I have solid proof that there was cases of misrepresentation. Am I allowed to say misrepresentation

Didn’t you just hear the moderator, and now you’re back to name calling? If a moderator looked into your posts, they will find I am not a false accuser.

My apologies for the insults you have had to take here friend. We all should be able to have our say without being called a liar or some other degrading term.

Thank you Lightskin for speaking freely here, and for your kind words.
May God continue to lead you by His Holy Spirit, and with His everlasting love, in Jesus Christ.

It seems that some people don't seem to be able to comprehend a simple warning without it affecting their posting privileges since the same behavior is continuing by some of the very people who reacted to my warning.

For the sake of this discussion, I have (within this thread) routinely seen people who use James 2:14 in their posts misrepresented as believing in a works based salvation and persons who use Ephesians 2:8&9 misrepresented as believing that they have a "license " to sin. Most often (IMO) these types of misrepresentations are NOT deliberate but based in misunderstanding either of the user's full doctrinal stance.

Routinely when I dig into reports of "blatant lies" when I look at the full context within the thread I find two people who are so intent on proving their point and proving the other person wrong that they fail to read posts with comprehension and as a result they "understand" the post through the lens of their preconceived notions about the other user.

Ok I clearly said that Christ loses none of His

Lightskin said I (Macabeus) disagree with this doctrine

I corrected him, and showed him the post where I indeed said I believe what he claimed I dont

He denied several times saying it, and told me I am not well, and need to see a psychiatrist.

There were several other blatant misrepresentations. Undergrace said I believe in regeneration maintained by sin confession. I would never say such an absurdity

I have been called names by dcontroversal many times. And several keep accusing me of works salvation, because I believe in perserverance of the saints.

I said some things in reply I shouldn’t have, and I apologize. But only after being repeatedly called a works salvationist

Doctrine of perserverance is a work of God, not man. I posted links explaining the doctrine, but still called works salvationist.

I will not bother you with this further and won’t mention it again, but there is deliberate misrepresentation going on

As long as they stop, I will stop. But Lightskin started talking about Pharisees and false accusers right after you warned us

Nice 👍, as the saying goes, we read and interpret words and actions “as we are” and not “as they are”.

Something that I always wish my Wife would realise too 🤣
