Not By Works

Grace is ongoing. 2 corinthians 12:7-10> … I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Titus 2:11For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men. 12It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

What does the phrase 'all men' mean to you?

In my devotion this morning is this "summary". God doesn't want religious fanatics but spiritually "overhauled" people.

It does not get any plainer..........Our righteous works have ZERO to do with Salvation!

What's wrong with my application? the verse says Jesus who humbled Himself to the point of a servant, was a man in every way, tempted as a man and was made victorious as a man thus was saved just like men are.

My question to you is simple; was Jesus saved? how?

This grace, is it for the godly or the ungodly?

Common sense. If you have already been saved/rescued from sin, you can not continue in sin; and if you continue in sin then you have not been rescued from it.
