You know all of us who believe have mercy in common. We have all been forgiven for so much. We all get how scared grace given is.

Why do you suppose extending mercy to one another even after we ourselves have been forgiven of so much is so hard for us to do?

It is a part of the salvation paid forward, forgiving one another, right?

Maybe I'm being cynical tonight...

Maybe we are much more forgiving than I am giving credit.

Will you share a time someone or youself forgave another or even forgave yourself?

Do you forgive yourself easier than you do others?

Hmmm... not sure sure I'd want to share this stuff myself., lol.

So no pressure...

Just being transparent with my thoughts traveled tonight.

It seems, oft time, I feel exactly the same. Then it hits me that many are simply expressing what they are led to believe as though it is s just as important to others as it is to them, so I always go back to Jesus, Yeshua, crcified for all being the bottom line of our faith and DI bear with my doubts realizing it is me putting me above others. I should not do thiss. No, I am not saying you are doing this, but this has been my relief of doubting others in Yeshua. I pray this is a help andnot an affront. I believe you extend mercy and love to all. God bless you j.

This does help, and in no way affront.

One, you point to Christ and His mercy. Thank you.

Second, you took the time to read my thoughts and I appreciate the interaction...:), . Also helpful because yes considering others more important than ourselves is our calling as is forgiveness.

I suppose we know we are growing in mercy when we truly do put others first in our hearts, especially God. Moreover, we know we are considering others as we should when we extend sincere mercy.

Thanks for your insight, brother.

God Bless you.

It is easy to dialogue with you because of the love always sensed. It always sstrikes me how blessed your entire family is to have you. My own family experience was not so blessed.
Now do not put me on some kind of pedestal for I slip up in these very same areas from time to time, and find myself auto-chiding on the very same subjects you bring up.
Actually just about all of your posts seem to coincide with the topics all need to expand upon. Thank you for your care and love in general, it is for Jesus, Yeshua, a all dblessings for you and the family there...j

Your encouragement has me looking forward to my time with my family, making me want to make sure that I am not taking them for granted. Thank you again

It saddens me, though, that you say you have not been fortunate in that arena. Know that you are sincere family to me, and even though we are far apart, I am sending you hugs and prayers in Christ.

You know, i like transparency, not only from others but having a safe places to share open and honestly. With you, one feels they can share their burdens and thoughts, without being defined.

I am grateful. I hope you are doing ok and that you are blessed my brother and friend.

God Bless you. Lord, thank you for all our family in Christ.

I thank Jesus in your heart for your caring and sharing His message. As for the lack of a family life, that too is a blessing which pointed my way to the true Family, the eternal in Yeshua. God bless you...j

Great post for thought. First of all I'm not sure people do forgive
themselves as often as they should. Many carry around some sins
they have been forgiven by Christ and yet keep those same sins
in their hearts ad nauseum. Scripture says if we do not forgive then
neither will be forgiven. The important point is that if we only
forgive ourselves but never others then we are missing the point
of forgiveness.

I couldn't agree more. Also if we forgive others but not ourselves, again we are missing the point.

I continue to be impressed by your posts Renee so keep up the good work is all I can say.
If I can share my lack of forgivess. Some of my siblings especially. I tend to ruminate on past events and feel a coldness towards them even now to be honest. My brain says forgive but my heart refuses. But I am encouraged by your words today. Thank you.

Yay, I continue to be inspired by your openness. I am grateful to you for sharing, truly. The thing with siblings is it goes way back, eh? We all know we are to forgive, but how to seems elusive. I think it requires His grace, and lots of it. I will pray about this with you.

You know that parable of the debtors in Luke 7? One who has been forgiven lots, knows love. I find comfort in that. However though I have been forgiven much, I still think it hardest to forgive self. Will you pray about that with me?
