I agree that the acceptable age differential varies at the current age of the one doing the considering. If I were 28 I wouldn't date an 18 year old either. My range at the age of 28 would probably be 21-31.

Yes I agree itās at the current age that anyone would think from.
as for me when I was 28 I probably wouldnāt have swung more than a year or two. now that Iām older and have never been married or have kids, the door may swing a little wider š š
Yes, the youngest woman I would consider dating if I was the age of 28 would be 21. I got remarried at the age of 59 and my wife is 17 days older than I am. I would have to say that my acceptable age for dating at the age of 59 would be 54-63. I have a 39 year old married daughter and 5 grandchildren with an age range of 3 - 19.
Ok. Iāll come out with it. š There is a gentleman at church who is 20 years older than me who is showing me a lot of attention and trying to get to know me. Iāve never even considered someone that much older than me, but it got me thinking about the age gap. Hence the creation of this thread. Thoughts peeps?
And he is not like other men at church who I am acquainted with. They are all mostly married, and itās more just quick, polite interaction with them. This is him pursuing to know me on a different level.

Yes. Iāve thought about this. He is definitely in great shape for his age, but more than anything, it caught me off guard. Iāve seen him around for probably 3 years now, and never gave him a second thought until he made it a point to come introduce himself and start inquiring about me.
Seems to be. Iām a front rower and he has started to sit next to me the past few Sundays with some seats in between us, and Iām pretty sure he has been looking at me during worship. šHaha.

Haha. I do not desire that kind of attention in my life at this point. My friend just laughed at me when I told her, and said I definitely donāt live a boring life.
But I just want a godly, quiet, stable life with a few adventures thrown in there. Is that too much to ask? šš

Without knowing either you or the gentleman its hard to say. Do you like him? Its always flattering to have someone pursue you obviously, and the fact that you're undecided suggests you're at least intrigued. Relationships are difficult...and the rules society imposes can sometimes make it even harder, men are typically expected to be the pursuer....so if a man doesn't make his interest known....I don't know.
If he stopped making that extra effort would you be upset or relieved?
