Amen! "Lord, Lord didn't WE" will be the wrong answer when standing before Jesus at the judgment. (Matthew 7:22-23)
The correct answer will be "Lord, Lord, didn't YOU." (John 3:15,16,18; 10:9; 14:6)

WOW, I never saw that before. THEY DID SAY DIDN'T WE. And that is their BIGGEST FAULT.

Matthew 7:22 (HCSB)
22 On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’
Matthew 7:23 (HCSB)
23 Then I will announce to them,I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’

GREAT OBSERVATION, mailmandan.

Do you think the "we" is reference to the "many" that come before Him..................or meaning like "you and me Jesus?"

No, the WE is a reference to those with the same belief of counting their works to see if they measure up.

Yes, notice the workers for salvation on this thread have the "Jesus and me" view.

And the MANY in both of these verses are the exact SAME BUNCH:

Matthew 7:22 (NKJV)
22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'

Matthew 7:13 (NKJV)
13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

All that comes after we're dead and find out if we go to heaven or not.

I didn't read where Jesus said aggressive demeanor is a sign of his blessing. Must go back and look for that in the bible.
Eternal life is granted in this life....do you know this?

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though he dies. 26 And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” 27“Yes, Lord,” she answered, “I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”…
John 11:26

“I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.
John 5:24

" And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD."

God’s grace perpetually overflows from the cup of salvation. It is my heartfelt prayer that everyone would understand this biblically based doctrine and rejoice.

Jude 1:3-4 (ASV)
3 Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in privily, even they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Jude did not Pull Punches when it came to confronting False Doctrine.

1 Timothy 1:18-20 (HCSB)
18 Timothy, my son, I am giving you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies previously made about you, so that by them you may strongly engage in battle,
19 having faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and have suffered the shipwreck of their faith.
20 Hymenaeus and Alexander are among them, and I have delivered them to Satan, so that they may be taught not to blaspheme.

Acts 20:26-31 (HCSB)
26 Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of everyone’s blood,
27 for I did not shrink back from declaring to you the whole plan of God.
28 Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock that the Holy Spirit has appointed you to as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.
29 I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 And men will rise up from your own number with deviant doctrines to lure the disciples into following them.
31 Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning each one of you with tears.

Paul did not Pull Punches when it came to confronting False Doctrine.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (HCSB)
8 Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.
9 Resist him and be firm in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being experienced by your fellow believers throughout the world.

2 Peter 2:1-10 (HCSB)
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, and will bring swift destruction on themselves.
2 Many will follow their unrestrained ways, and the way of truth will be blasphemed because of them.
3 They will exploit you in their greed with deceptive words. Their condemnation, ⌊pronounced⌋ long ago, is not idle, and their destruction does not sleep.
4 For if God didn’t spare the angels who sinned but threw them down into Tartarus and delivered them to be kept in chains of darkness until judgment;
5 and ⌊if⌋ He didn’t spare the ancient world, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others, when He brought a flood on the world of the ungodly;
6 and ⌊if⌋ He reduced the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes and condemned them to ruin, making them an example to those who were going to be ungodly;
7 and ⌊if⌋ He rescued righteous Lot, distressed by the unrestrained behavior of the immoral
8 (for as he lived among them, that righteous man tormented himself day by day with the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—
9 ⌊then⌋ the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,
10 especially those who follow the polluting desires of the flesh and despise authority. Bold, arrogant people! They do not tremble when they blaspheme the glorious ones;

Peter had a LOW Tolerance for False Doctrines.

Revelation 6:16-17 (HCSB)
16 And they said to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,
17 because the great day of Their wrath has come! And who is able to stand?”

And Look at the ALL the Wrath explained in Revelation, against False Doctrine, that JOHN Prophesied.

John 2:13-16 (HCSB)
13 The Jewish Passover was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 In the temple complex He found people selling oxen, sheep, and doves, and ⌊He also found⌋ the money changers sitting there.
15 After making a whip out of cords, He drove everyone out of the temple complex with their sheep and oxen. He also poured out the money changers’ coins and overturned the tables.
16 He told those who were selling doves, “Get these things out of here! Stop turning My Father’s house into a marketplace!”

John 8:42-47 (HCSB)
42 Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me, because I came from God and I am here. For I didn’t come on My own, but He sent Me.
43 Why don’t you understand what I say? Because you cannot listen to My word.
44 You are of your father the Devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of liars.
45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.
46 Who among you can convict Me of sin? If I tell the truth, why don’t you believe Me?
47 The one who is from God listens to God’s words. This is why you don’t listen, because you are not from God.”

Now there JESUS EVEN GOT MAD BECAUSE OF FALSE TEACHING. So are you going to accuse HIM of aggressive demeanor too.
You I suspect you must be of the False Doctine of a LOVE ONLY GOSPEL, am I right?

A question for people who believe we must maintain our salvation:

I recently went to a casino and won $500. Upon leaving I gave a married couple a $100 chip.

My question is, am I a condemned sinner for going to the casino or did I maintain my salvation because I gave complete strangers $100?

I don’t know whether going to a casino is a sin or not. But I don’t think you can lose your salvation anyways.

What I do believe is that good works is the fruit of salvation. If a person keep sinning he or she may not have been saved in the first place, but I don’t know, I’m no theologian.
