So I was just thinking about Matthew 27, how they said the tomb was sealed up when Jesus was put in it. Now I seem to remember that back then when they wanted to make a thing like that secure, they sealed it with some kind of putty on the outside rim of the stone. I can’t remember if it was clay, or wax, or something like that.

I guess the question is: I wonder if God made it so that the seal was still unbroken but He was already risen. I’m not sure how that would be possible once the angel kicked the stone door open, but God can do anything.

Just spitballing

The Tomb I have visited is located at the base of Golgotha. It is hewn out of one enormous stone or rock outcropping. The front has a long stone trough, something like a planter in a patio the goes in front of the doorway. There is a very large, round stone, somewhat like a large millstone in the slot. It must have weight a ton or more. Anyway this stone can be rolled away from the doorway for it to b eopn, however it would take some kind of sstrength ot roll it.

I cannot say it is the authentic tomb of our Lord, but it certainly fits the description and location info given in the Gospels. As for sealing the tomb, let it suffice that the enormous rock rolled in fron of the door was more than adequate to keep men out, especially since it was being guarded closely…………. The guards did fall into a deep sleep and when they awoke the stone had been rolled away. I believe the Word; it was rolled away by an angel.

they placed a rome seal on the stone after they closed it up. And there were guards who stood with.

I don't believe the angel 'kicked the stone door open', that would be giving a partial triumph to the angel. He 'rolled' away the stone, just like at the end of a theater performance the curtain is opened to show the cast but in this case to reveal an empty tomb. Read...
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. Matthew 28:2

Just an added note. I was blessed to enter the Tomb, and believe it or not the interior has been hallowed out by tools, hand tools I suppose. Not only that but the beir area or where the Body was laid if a slightly indented bedding all out of the same large rock formation.. I was quite moved, but He was gone, risen, and now is glorified in the Heavenly Kingdom. He isliving in all of us, a privilege to say the leasst. All love and blessings in our Lord,
