Your mistake was using the word invented, the article states the Romans developed, different meaning.

Anyway... you still need to reconsider your Mid-Acts Dispensationalism.
And the fact that Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians crucified and even ALEXANDER the Great brought the practice back from the East.....regardless....just like yesterday and his developing story about the 12 BELIEVING Jesus did not have to die...His story constantly changes and gets embellished when he called on his NONFACTUAL assertion....First ROME INVENTED crucifixion...then Phoenicians invented and Rome blah blah blah.....It is a miracle that the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks etc. used it if it was not invented until circa 300 B.C.

Okay, fair enough. I can grant you that.

My main point was that the OT prophecies regarding Jesus's death was stated way before 400 BC, when that concept was not even invented yet.

You chose to split hair over a minor point.

False again....explain how the Assyrians, Babylonians and Persians crucified if it was not invented yet.....dude...you absolutely take the cake for being obstinate against the truth and or arguing from an inferior false position!

So true....... all relates back bad biblical interpretation. A person who wanted to create a new novel theory and create a following.

As I have said, you are free to disagree with the source I got that quote from.

I already stated "Okay, fair enough. I can grant you that."
Then lets move on to the other problems with your theory.

Faith plus works for salvation in the old testament... that is a big one for sure.

I have already explained to you previously about this. I cannot understand it for you.

Why not you conclude the present discussion about whether the cross was known in the OT first.

No you didn't. you posted a book, chapter and verse a couple of times (no actual text) - they did not establish your case neither did you use the text and try to explain it from your perspective.

Well you have yet to reply to my question to you previously, "What gospel were the 12 preaching in Luke 9:6?"

National Library of Medicine ->History and Pathology of Cruicifixion --> Originated with Assyrians

The Times of Israel -->In fact the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians and Phoenicians all practiced crucifixion

Life Science -->Most likely crucifixion began with the Assyrians

Bible Ca-->History of crucifixion and archaeology proof of the cross-->Derived from the Assyrian practice of impalement and implemented by Alexander the Great

Biblical Archaeology -->The history of crucifixion extends all the way back to the Assyrians

IN FACT, not one source I looked at indicated anyone other than the Assyrians as the originator of Crucifixion....!!!

Now wait a minute....you cannot use Genesis 3:15 according to your logic......you just tied Gen. 3:15 to the cross.....!!
Absolutely! For four thousand years Satan had been trying to eliminate this promised seed. Now he’s got him hanging on the cross Thinking he’s gained the victory and nullified the promise.

Another embellishment....par for the course with Gong Show....

Pull a verse in context that states Satan put Jesus on the cross....we will all wait....!
So, you believe it was the Holy Spirit that moved Judas to betray Jesus and not Satan. You believe it was the Holy Spirit that moved the crowd to cry crucify him!

These people are fond of anticipating revelation. Execution on the cross was a Roman invention and Rome had not existed during the time those prophesies about hanging on a tree were uttered.

They find it difficult to imagine themselves during OT times, when Paul's revelations did not exist, and understanding OT scriptures as it was written then.
You should rethink this now.
Paul was not the first to know, understand the Gospel.

They preached what was occurring, Jesus the Messiah was present.
