Jesus did not treat Nicodemus in this way, and Nicodemus came to Him secretly, yet these came openly to be baptized, when you pulled that verse just then I realized I've never really understood why were they told this.

dc, love and truth go hand in hand but, mercy and truth kiss.... Love has mercy and only kisses truth with mercy. Sometimes there are no words.......just a kiss of mercy...."you just totally trashed me and I'm not going to hate you because, God loves you!" That's a kiss of mercy.

There are so many hurting people in this world from all countries, nations, religions, whatever........that have just been beat up - they are broken, bruised, confused, lost and ANGRY AT EVERYBODY even God and are so ready to fight with anybody.

Take the time to ask more questions, find out who you're speaking to, don't cause more collateral damage.

I love Jesus because He first loved me. As long as I remain in this state, I am abiding in the Vine and am perfectly and eternally secure in Jesus. Whenever I falter, all I need do is repent in a spirit of humility, and my salvation will remain secure. Turning away from our first love in a spirit of open and unrepented-of rebellion is a sad pit to fall into, but some will return to their vomit. We need to abide in the vine to see the Kingdom of Heaven someday.

We all agree that works and fruit are not the cause of salvation, but only the evidence of it.

With all due respect.....love is a process of growth and maturity and very few reach the pinnacle of mature love....and regardless...the power is in the message, not the motive behind the message....and NOTE OUT OF GOOD WILL = LOVE......the problem is how MANY view and devalue LOVE.....it is not emotional or some ooey gooey thing....it is a commandment and choice....

Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former proclaim Christ out of rivalry, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment. What then?
