Some of you are going through a desperate season, maybe financially struggling, or physically in pain, or maybe depressed or deeply grieving...so to you, I just say I am so very sorry.

To us all, I just want to remind us to remember all the good things He has and is still lavishing upon us...…

This list goes on and on and on. Life is not all roses and sunshine, but amongst the thorns there are blessings after blessings.

Let's all take a moment to thank Him, even in the sorrow and suffering. He promises to lift our heads, that He is with us. He deserves our praise, every day, all day.

Can you imagine your family giving you every good gift you have or ever had and not taking time for them, not thanking them, with all that we have?

Well guess what... our greatest family...our Father and our Lord and Savior deserve all we have to give.

I'm sure that I could check off a bunch of those good things. It is a cornucopia of glad tidings for sure. I like the Second chances, sometimes many more blessing the best. This has certainly been true in my case. The Journeys are intriguing and well worth the cost of admission. One at a time.

Everytime you make a thread I always check it out because I know it is going to be a good one and this one was just.... wow! I sometimes in my quiet time with him will recall all he has done for me, all he has used me for all the people he has helped and encouraged just because I was willing to be used all the dreams and visions that I am not worthy of receiving all the profound things he has taught me in pretty much every method imaginable be that scripture other people a sermon a song I listen to or even using his own creation like a sunset an ant a flower a bird ect.

And I just express to him how thankful and grateful I am to him and one day I want to repay him for all of this though I know he doesn't ask for it or even want it I hear him say this and I am like father if you wish to bless me and if you wish to give me everything good then give me this and let me repay you for all you have done not because I have to but because it would give me so much joy and would be the greatest honor.
I then go on to tell him that the treasures I seek in heaven are not gold or a mansion or a title to my name or honor of any kind the treasures I seek can only be given to me from him and this is one such treasure to me.

This was my conversation with him last night and I actually forgot about it until I saw your thread so thank you:D

I know what you mean. He is always putting His creation and children on the receiving end. I understand wanting to put Him on that end. You are right, such a treasure. I am grateful that you took the time to read and respond. God Bless you.

Thank you CharliRenee, your encouraging posts are always such a blessing to read :)

God bless you! (Numbers 6:24-26)

~Deut
p.s. - the other thing that I find amazing is this, as Christians, we do not thank the Lord for getting us 'past' the thorns and the times of suffering in life alone, but we can
(and should) thank Him 'for' the difficulties themselves (as we are able to anyway), knowing that He has promised to cause EVERYTHING in our lives, both the good and the bad, to work together for our good (y)(y)

Romans 8
28 We know that God causes ~all~ things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 7
7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us ~for our good~, so that we may share His holiness.
11 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

This is such an edifying reminder Deut. Thank you. I love that our Father cares enough about us to take us through the hammering, chiseling, and purifying by fire to get us established. We are so blessed.

Thanks Tourist, how are you and your wife doing, btw? Not to take more of your time but I'd love to know.
We are doing pretty good. Darlene has been busy removing clutter from our townhome to present a better appearance and hopefully, an offer to buy. She still has her heart set on moving to Tennessee. She lived there for a few years when she was growing up and I lived there for 3 years in the early 80's while serving in the Army.

The summers are just as hot and humid as Florida but don't last as long and there are 4 definitive seasons which both of us would enjoy. In Florida there are only 2 seasons, hot and then hotter. Three seasons if you count hurricane season. I am not thrilled by the move as it is so much work but really, I could be happy anywhere just as long as the two of us are together.
