This is a HUGE MISCONCEPTION. The first believers and worshippers of Christ were Gentile magi who went to Bethlehem with precious gifts for the King of the Jews.

The first converts of Christ were semi-Gentile Samaritans (John 4). And there are many instances where Christ ministered to Gentiles and MARVELLED at the faith of Gentiles in comparison to Jews.

Furthermore, only a very small fraction of the teachings of Christ are addressed STRICTLY to Jews and in connection with the Law of Moses. Indeed the Gospel of John is clearly for all mankind, while the enmity of the unbelieving Jews is exposed. So while Jesus was indeed the King/Messiah of Israel, He was at one and the same time THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.

Even so (1) he sent the 70 and the 12 only to Israel, and (2) He commanded that after Pentecost the Gospel must go in the following progression: (a) Jerusalem, (b) Judea, (c) Samaria, and (d) the uttermost parts of the earth.

Christians should also be very aware that while Peter was primarily the apostle to the Jews (the Circumcision) he preached the Gospel to Gentiles and Semi-Gentiles, and while Paul was primarily the apostle to the Gentiles (the Uncircumcision), he made it his business to FIRST go to every Jewish synagogue in each city which he visited, and only then preach to the Gentiles.

Getting back to the primary reason why Christ came to earth, Paul says that "This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world TO SAVE SINNERS..."
