I actually believe as a gentile Christian I only have to be cautious about how the animal or food is prepared. Not the food itself.

My understanding from teaching of my family, aunts and uncles, that when we bless our food with thanksgiving before eating it, it has become holy to our Father.
Although my immediate family was not what one would deem as religious, I was always taken when an uncle our auth would say grace at a family reunion. It was warm and loving...…......

Umm, NO.

Scorpions are poisonous, and we don't want you to die. :)
Poison represents false prophecy .

Yes, they are used to represent the Spirit of Judgment as those who fall backward off there high horse. A theme repeated and used in many, many doctrines.

He set aside the tribe of Dan which is missing from the description of the bride in in the book of Revelations. This is to indicate the letter of the law death will not enter the new order. It will not rise and condemn a entire creation through corruption.

Genesis 49:16Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. (Slain in the Spirit)

Perhaps an unclean insect. I should do a search in Leviticus to ascertain the status of this creature in regards for human consumption.

Just learned that a scorpion is not an insect because insects have 6 legs and a scorpion has eight. It is classified as Arachnida in the spider family.

That Leviticus search did not turn up anything. I think that Paul said you can eat anything you want so I'm going with that flow. He probably never had scorpion though 'cause it probably ain't kosher. I think that he was into figs and grapes.

i think locusts and grasshopers are the clean ones maybe but no worries! you can tell it's unclean just by looking at it :O and if you know about how dangersous they are. :/

then also if you hear about their crazy behaviors - you will know eventually if you are a seeker of truth.

for example: a dove, nice animal, not afraid to let it sit my head maybe, if its tamish lol not mind it in my stomach, but too sad to hurt it... so. :)

that ugly thing in the picture up there?: NEVER let it sit on your head, NOT a nice animal, TOTAL turn-off, NEVER make it part of your DNA (eat it) or BODY.

I don't think that eating that thing would make that part of your DNA but what do I know, I'm certainly not a nutritionist. :)

I think that I did read once or twice in the bible that locusts and grasshoppers are edible and fit for human consumption. Maybe if they were fried. Once had a biology teacher in high school that said that he once ate some worms. Flatten 'em with a hammer and fried 'em. He said that they tasted like bacon. I'll stick to bacon that comes from a pig.

Thank you for the food critique. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

yes fried. I've heard those are good.

i don't know for sure either but they say "You are what you Eat" and this makes sense in the spiritual as well as physical sense. just as you do not want to watch too many terrible shows (if any) or to surround yourself with terrible people, because both could affect you badly, likewise you don't want to (and many people are careful not to) put anything terrible into your body (The Temple of God 1 Corinthians 3:16) because it could affect you badly.

thank you so much for the welcome, and no problem. :)

I agree with you about watching terrible shows. I rarely watch TV, and when I do it's usually the news. I once went 5 years without turning on the TV. Didn't miss it one bit. Read a lot of books.

Yes it is a ceremonial law .the unclean represent the unredeemed. Poison to represent false prophecy . the redemed will no be affected by it.

Acts 28:4-6 King James Version (KJV)And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

To die from the poison of the false prophecy marks the Spirit of Judgement. The letter of the law "death". The tribe of Dan was set aside for that purpose

Genesis 49:16Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

The tribe of Dan is eliminated in the book of Revelation. The spirit of judgment the letter of the law will be cast in the fiery judgment of God on the last day. .Just as Paul in that parable cast the serpent into the fire. The spirit of judgment will not rise and condemn through corruption a entire creation ever again

That is all fine and good but I am hungry and just want to actually eat. Probably nuke a breakfast sandwich and pour a glass of OJ. Tomorrow is take-out Tuesday so my wife will probably score some stuff at Burger King. I'm thinking that those fried scorpions are probably more nutritious than a Whopper and side of onion rings. On the plus side, the breakfast sandwiches are made with free range organic eggs. No, not gluten free whatever gluten is.

I have asked God going on 10 years for something specific that would release me and set me free of the circumstances I am bound to (it's not marriage/relationship related btw).

Ironically, my situation within this circumstance over the years has grown to become more like a prison. It's like feeling the walls closing in on me. I have no idea why God has not chosen to intervene on my behalf. The benefit of this circumstance is, I have become fully dependant upon God. And He has used me in ways, that without this circumstance, I would not be able to be used. I also have no doubts that once this trial has ended, God will use me in other ways.

But this circumstance has crippled me (not physically) and has broken me and I have cried out to God for Him to intervene. I am persuaded to follow God no matter what. I am persuaded to run and finish my Race. I am tired and worn out. I somehow get up every day and find reasons how Wonderful God is even within this prison of my circumstance. I truly believe God will not put upon me what I am not able handle even with me fully dependant upon God. Both Spiritually and emotionally I have never suffered like this before. If this is God's way of keeping me in the fold, then I am grateful to Him. But the weight of my circumstance is growing unbearable. I cry myself to sleep nightly begging and asking God why won't He release me of this burden.

God has opened doors, allowed my knowledge to increase, my understanding to become hundred fold, and my Faith to reach heights that sound unrealistic. But in it all, I am still completely trapped. I very well could go to my grave one day still suffering. I don't know. I just know the pain is real, the heartache is severe, the battle has no end in sight. But I won't stop Trusting in God! I won't stop seeking God, I won't stop listening to God. I won't stop depending upon Him. I need Him more as each second passes by. And every day I awaken is another day to give Him the Praise and Glory He deserves. I really don't know how I am surviving without Him. Because this is unbearable.
I will pray for you and with you.

Aww not all some are no more than a bee sting, it’s just a insect hehe, only 25 species out of 1500 with venom capable of killing a human.

Matthew 7
7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
7:10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Matthew 7 reveals to us some of the characteristics of our Heavenly Father. Our Fathers desires to give us good things, and in His good timing, He shall.

James 4
4:1 From whence [come] wars and fightings among you? [come they] not hence, [even] of your lusts that war in your members?
4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts.

James 4 provides us a mirror which reveals to us our own nature, and explains why God will not give us everything we ask for whenever we ask for it.

I can think of some very foolish things I have asked God for in the past. I am so glad that He said "NO". (and no, I will never tell you what they were:rolleyes:.)
Yea you probably be better off with a insect rather a serpent, lol

I have also like you already asked for some wrong things.

I think a key is to learn to seek the will of our heavenly Father and to ask in His name for the work of His Kingdom. If we are out to make ourselves look good or happy and we ask after our flesh then we will not ask according to His will.
