One of the enemy-s greatest tools is to give a grain of truth in his decption in order to entice the innocent.

I like to believe it eventually fails, but oh the turmoil within until it does.

He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. What Jesus did then He still does today, He did not change, we have missed the mark in walking with the power He died to bring us at Pentecost.
He was very clear in how most would have an outward form denying the power, while His Own would do greater works than He.
One thing is the claim that we "have" something, Drs. will use those words, and then a person takes it in and claims it, and it becomes a part of their identity, they see that attack of the enemy by sickness and take ownership of it. If we want to stay sick and deny His will that we be well, he will honor it.
Healing is most often a process, Heal-ing, run- ing, walk-ing, a process where we stay in prayer speaking health and life over our body in Jesus name, like the young man with Downs, it has been a few years and you nearly cannot see the condition as God is restoring him.

God is restoring him, but he won’t be fully restored until he gets to heaven. You can manage disabilities and in some cases get a bit better, but never fully healed. I definitely feel like the lord has strengthen me with my disability, like I don’t do the stuff I used to do as a kid, but I still have Aspergers and can’t see myself not calling myself a person on the autism/Aspergers spectrum. The same should be true for the person with Downs, he is better but he will still call himself: “A person with Downs”, which I see nothing wrong with.

It just seems like there are people demanding everything needs to be healed, but not everything can be because of the fallen world we live in and it is the structure of the brain/body is not something that cannot be healed until they get to heaven. It can be managed to live better with prayer, medicine, and a support network of people. But my brain was made this way, as my brain structure is different, as it is harder for me to be social.

That’s why it honestly interests me that disabilities exist. The lord made everyone, and in his image. I don’t believe the lord has disabilities, but I don’t see disabilities as something that needs to be cured, it’s just an odd way of thinking/looking, and it has given me so much perspective and to be thankful to the lord, so I thank the lord made me with Aspergers/Autism. He makes us all unique and for a purpose ^_^

It is always His will that we be healed, in the verse where the man said to Jesus, "if you would. I can be healed", the word in the Greek explains that it is His very nature that we be healed, it is who He is that we be well, healed, restored, whole. Was then, is now, always will be.
What if your identity was "I am the righteousness of God in Christ", "None of the devils weapons formed against me can prosper", "I am whole, healed and restored in Jesus name".
If we declare these truths He has given us and let them become our identity. I know that He will respond, He promised to, and we know God keeps His promises.

There are lots of "articles" in the unsaved world, the last one referred to Leviticus, we haven't been under the law for 2,000 years.
At this time pretty much Ephesians on is for us.
What we give ourselves to we become, when we heap to ourselves non faith, non belief, carnal, worldly thinking and teachers we are not keeping our minds focused on Jesus, which we are required to do if we are His.

I believe in Jesus but will always mess up, that’s why saying I’m “Whole and Healed” doesn’t sound right. Jesus can say that for he is perfect, but I am not perfect. For it is by God, not my strength, that I can call myself “Whole and Healed”

It’s like with anyone with hobbies/life, saying “I’m a girl”, “I’m a nerd”, “I’m a Republican”, etc.

You can’t tie Christianity down with saying “I’m a special needs Christian” or “I’m a Republican Christian”, there is only “I’m a Christian”.

But should I deny how God made me? Of course not, that’s what I was trying to get across, it’s not letting the enemy win, it’s accepting how God made us. God made me with a disability, and that’s that. I remember as high schooler I would often think “Be glad you are not me” cause I was mad and didn’t like other people, but it was selfish and proud to think like that, I should be happy how God made me. If you have evil thoughts, then that is not God, but Satan trying to drag you down. I always believe it comes back to balance, this I truly believe.

with Bipolar disorder, my experience of it was people wanted to label you with a diagnosis for the rest of your life. it was said to never be cured, you had to manage it and treat it with meds.

well praise God He got me off meds and I am whole and never have to take them again. and its been ten years now since I had to see a doctor, and not ever had to go into hospital. and nobody really believed this?!

autism is a bit different as people still dont really know how to treat it. I think do everything you can to ask God for wisdom on healing because a lot of people are living thinking they have a label and can never recover, the worst is that they make themselves an identity out of it rather than believe they are simply a child of God.

many parents are quite despairing over their child with special needs and dont really know what to do about it. i know many parents who have put their child away as they cant handle them as they grow up. I do think meds are an easy option and dont really deal with the causes.

I had flatted with one a lady whos daughter was deaf and she learned to communicating in sign language, apparently as a baby she got seizures and the doctor put her on meds but she didnt want to to take them for all the side effects so her mum didnt force her to take them. Another deaf neighbour i know got the diagnoses of autism but was put on meds and he got so dependent on them that he attemped suicide when he stopped taking them for a while (meds that are supposedly anti depressants)
its very hard to communicate with someone who really DOESNT want to listen though even if they are not deaf.

Jesus did heal the deaf and blind but he doest always for every single person because what happened is he will heal those that ask and want to be healed. and sometimes His grace is sufficient and thats the learning for anyone who is dealing with a sickness or disease or disability. Another thing it teaches is patience, for example the woman who had been bleeding for 18 years, must have had a lot of patience. she didnt lose faith though.

I think just be open to a miracle because Jesus didnt perform many miracles where people didnt believe. You dont ask, you dont receive.

He didn't make you that way, everything God does is perfect, we live in a fallen world.
The devil even tries to get people to believe God made them sick, or created them less that whole.

Thanks, but pretty focus on faith, belief, the Lord, His word, there is so much that isn't of God and it doesn't glorify Him, I will look at them, perhaps very briefly.
I sent a link to you privately, the whole series is a life changer if applied.
bless you

Okay, I get that, but if it’s from the devil, disabilities, shouldn’t you hate me?

I am disabled, so by your logic I should be evil. God made me, so why do I have this disability? I know of the fallen world, stuff that is not good will happen, but wouldn’t that cause someone with a disability to hate their disability? To hate themselves? I don’t think that is healthy.

Overall, it’s part of identity, I am a Christian and still stand as Christian as being my main identity, but what about the other stuff? I know it’s of earth and doesn’t matter, but wouldn’t that cause me to hate myself that I’m not acting like other Christians, I’m human and I believe it is important to recognize that I am human. My therapist who is a Christian, I was talking to my dad and he told me that my hobbies are not part of my identity, but my therapist says otherwise.

Also, I just read your response to my mom, she thinks there is no reasoning with you. My mom has taught me lots of Christian values, we just finished our 2nd bible study lesson on Philippians.

NO NOT AT ALL! No, I don't hate you and it doesn't mean God hates you, He loved you so much He sent His only begotten Son to model how He wants us to live to defeat the devils work, He gave us dominion in Genesis, thus He works through us, and since we know he knows the end from the beginning He knew at the Creation we would be meeting together in this way right now to share His love for each of us and His desire we each be whole and restored in Jesus name.
Love you sis, in Jesus name

Of course I should not hate you, nor should any of us hate anyone.
We are to bear each others burdens, and build each other up in the faith, and that faith is knowing Jesus personally, all the time, not just going to a place once a week and hearing someone talk about him.

So, in a way, God is not allowing it, we are allowing it by having not lived as he would have us live , in the power of Holy Spirit he died to bring us.
This is a video of the personal testimony of John Wimber, he is a man who was a musician until he accepted Christ and devoted himself to ministry, we may know him as the man who brought together the Righteous Brothers, Bill Medley and Bobbie Hatfield and was scheduled to play with the Beatles first tour in America when he turned to Christ.
Several people I know who work in ministry use this form, the call on Holy Spirit to come and then wait, when you feel his presence, ministry begins. When we feel the presence of the Lord something is getting healed, and it seems since He knows what we need more than we know what we need, He often heals us inside first, as it pertains to our eternity, physical healing pertains to this temporary life. I have heard some teach that we need to be healed about 70% healed on the inside before we see healing on the outside.
The video of this signs and wonders conference right after his testimony he demonstrates inviting Holy Spirit-
This is old video , but God still works the same, yesterday, today and forever-

Agree, and sorry, I will admit I was “testing” on purpose. I get cheeky from time to time and want to see if people actually care for me.

It probably comes from how in school, all my times to fit in never worked and I was bullied a bit in High School. Someone randomly grabbed my butt in the hallway, I didn’t see who did it but I wanted to find them, but realizing I couldn’t all I did was cry. Someone moved my glasses away from me on purpose, since classes were early, I like to lay my head down, so someone moved my glasses away from me. One kid made fun of my last name. I remember in Elementary school, in the 5th grade, a group of girls were talking about Animal Crossing on the Nintendo DS, I tried to join saying I have Animal Crossing in the GameCube and they told me to go away.

I know my bullying could have been worse, but it still probably effects how I see people. I remember really relating to the character Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion, cause he couldn’t handle conflict well and he was constantly being told what do to, by people yelling and looking down on him. Shinji pushes away people relationships in the show too, so I also probably related to that.

I just have a hard time thinking disabilities can be cured. Illness, a bad situation (Like my cousin was in prison, but now he is married and is expecting his first child soon), alcohol abuse, drug abuse, and all that can be cured. But the way a brain or a body is formed at birth, is something I have a hard time believing that will be healed. It can be managed and it will be fully healed when we get to heaven, but for now, no I’m okay with that.

I do believe in God, but I struggle just as everyone else does. Mainly with keeping my prayer life updated and showing grace/kindness when agitated. But I find that okay, humans can never be perfect.

Once again, I’ll just sorry and I’m heading off of this thread. I’ll be other threads, I don’t regret making this thread, but I feel this thread is not healthy for my spiritual self, for it is making me question God, which is never heathly for a Christian to do. It can happen, but I’m done with this and will be praying..if I remember hopefully, lol

*SarahUmbreon leaves thread*

I have epilepsy. During my early years, I had spacial seizures at night, so I had no idea that anything was wrong. The first hint something was wrong occurred when I was 27 years old, and attending college. I was up in the middle of the night, and had a seizure and collapsed in my bathroom. I went on to complete a twenty-one year career in the Navy. No one, including myself, ever had an idea that I had epilepsy. Thirteen years, the seizures struck with a vengeance. Several medications kept my seizures under control through my next career. At 61 I was forced to retire because I became a liability to my employer. I had two significant accidents in two years. When I applied for disability, I was shocked to find that two seizures per month qualified me for SSD. I could have quit work 30 years earlier and qualified for a disability pension from my employer and SSD. Thing is, epilepsy affected my life, but there was no way that it was going to control it. From the time that I retired until a few years ago, I went through several medications and their side effects with short seizure free periods. A few years ago, my neurologist put me on an expensive drug called Vimpat. Since then, I have been seizure free. I thank God every day that He not only provided me that medication, but He provided me a way to pay for it. I have no idea why He waited so long to provide it, but it has taught me that I live in His time. God always answers prayers, IN HIS TIME.

when hub and I were young and growing-up, absolutely NO ONE we knew was EVER given a pass to
ACT-OUT and Demand/get their own WAY/WILL by going against either school or at church, or society,
etc...
if one did ACT-OUT in a disrespectful way at home OR in school/church', they were immediately 'DISCiPLINED',
and most-times the discipline was ALL it TOOK to get them 'back in line' and not be allowed to 'disrupt'
the moral-guidelines that that were set in place for everyone else...
it worked for most, but there were those who just couldn't conform for different reasons:
'bottom line', it was an ACT of defiance for those that wanted to have their OWN WILL
as opposed to those who naturally were OBEYING the RULES -
just want to add, this was in the 'late 50's and early 60's, when often Mothers had to go to work and leave their children
home alone with the TV, because the TV was implanting to the families that they 'needed TWO CARS and TWO TV's!!!....
conclusion;
(no one we knew or ever heard of had (bi-polar=autism=turret=ETC.=,
spoiled-neglected-un-supervised-un-disciplined-major dysfunctional family unity for lack of Godly LOVE...
11PETER 1:5.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6.
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7.
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful
in 'the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ'.
9.
But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

do ya'll see what happened???
satan gained so much more power/influence after we were indoctrinated into "The Brace New World"...
