you know, it was a judge that overruled the popular vote in CA with regards to making the habitation of 2 gay or lesbian people a marriage. the following from 2010:

(CNN) -- A federal judge in California on Wednesday struck down the state's ban on same-sex marriage, ruling that voter-approved Proposition 8 violates the U.S. Constitution -- handing supporters of gay rights a major victory in a case that both sides say is sure to wind up before the U.S. Supreme Court.

The 136-page opinion, issued by Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker in San Francisco, is an initial step in what will likely be a lengthy fight over California's Proposition 8, which defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

At stake in the trial was whether California's ban on same-sex marriage violates gay couples' rights to equal protection and due process, as protected by the U.S. Constitution.

The high-profile case is being watched closely by both supporters and opponents of same-sex marriage, as many say it is destined to make its way to the U.S. Supreme Court. If it does, the case could result in a landmark decision on whether people in the United States are allowed to marry people of the same sex.

.................................................an agenda is an agenda is an agenda is an agenda is an agenda is an agenda

much like gay couples going out of their way to hire a Christian photographer for their 'wedding photos' in order to be able to take them to court when they refuse. agenda

or a bakery...why order your wedding cake at a Christian bakery if you flaunt your homosexuality in their face? again, take them to court. agenda

btw, BLM also has a huge homosexual agenda and is run by members of the LGBT etc community. no wonder they want to destroy the nuclear family. that, and the fact so many black children are born with no fathers to call their own

they start with one thing...oh we love each other and want marriage...and end up wishing for the destruction of God's plan for humankind

one man and one woman
We wouldn’t even have this problem if it was still illegal to practise it in the first place.

Move to Saudi Arabia.
You can't criminalize a consensual relationship between two adults.
We have this thing called the Constitution

In my country it was only made legal in 1967.
Btw you need to stop suggesting people go and live in Saudi just because they stand for Biblical Christianity, which is not accepted in Saudi and also is run by Sharia Law; which is why none of us live there. There is a tremendous difference between God’s Law and Sharia Law.
True Christianity and Islam are extremely different.

America is not a theocracy nor was it ever intended to be. We pass laws on the Constitution. Not the Bible
thing is Christians try to force their religion on people through legislation and then have the nerve to cry about how persecuted they are was excited he says they're not having it

Force Christianity on others? Please explain which law is being forced that says you must worship Jesus or become a Christian?

Which laws are Christians forcing on others?

And do they differ in importance to a secularists law they are promoting?

You literally just said homosexuality should be illegal
That would be forcing your religion on others through legislation
that would basically be the Christian version of sharia law

So let me ask who is more important the secularist, atheist, or religious in making laws? Should one group get the ability to make law?

Is homosexuality good for society? Healthy?

The separation of church and state ultimately is a ‘Christian’ concept'. ‘Christian governance’ (read Western society has moved away from theocracy a loooooong time ago - it might help if u read a book or two Dude.

America was intended to be a secular country. Secular law protects everyone's rights

But I have already proven that to be false. But let's roll with that for a minute. So if two secularists wanted to make a law, one to approve of transgender athletes to play on the team of the opposite gender, while the other secularist looks at case studies and evidence to pass a law banning it. Your okay with either choice because there is no absolute right or wrong in a secular society. You only have mob rule or popular opinion. Which means minority rights are not protected.

You do not have to answer the question because it is pointless other than preference if right and wrong do not exist.

So let's revert to why your statement is false. I'll let George Washington speak.

George Washington put his finger on the importance of preserving a freedom of religion within a society:

Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness-these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked, “where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in the courts of justice?” And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.

It is substantially true that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government. The rule indeed extends with more or less force to every species of free government. Who this is a sincere friend to it can look with indifference upon attempts to shake the foundation of the fabric?

Without morality, society rots like a decaying tooth, from the inside out. As we are seeing now.

A consensual relationship between two adults has nothing to do with morality
Again. This is America and not Saudi Arabia. We will not be putting people in jail for being gay

It is my belief that you cannot legislate morality.

I agree with your second statement but disagree with your first.
I use God's standard while you seem to use man's.

There are a multitude of laws protecting immoral conduct.
Like someone else mentions, you can't legislate morality
But they are.
Try to post anti gay statements on social media.
Private owned media can filter content at their own discretion

Again who's morality? Who says my beliefs are wrong compared to yours?

Do you put people in jail for drunk driving? Do we legislate bad behavior to protect citizens from it's consequences?

Now is homosexuality healthy for society or not healthy? Is it beneficial? Does it make our society stronger?

What does the Bible say also?
