The new covenant is about the law, and the old covenant was about the law. Under the old covenant the law was given to man with rules. It did not specify the love that was necessary for them to be valid so they could be followed legalistically but not spiritually. The new covenant gave the same laws, but in the heart.

Jeremiah 31:33 "I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts"
“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭31:31-32‬ ‭

the new covenant is not according to the old . You realize when we’re saying a covenant we’re talking about the words spoken and then the blood being shed right ?

this is how a covenant is made

“And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient.

And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭24:7-8‬ ‭

When your saying the law of Moses your talking about the law of that covenant according to the blood he shed for those people .

that has nothing to do with the new covenant not the words in Moses book of the law , nor the blood of bulls and goats , nor the man made temple they served in , nor the sinful priests who ruled over and served of the law . The law of Moses , the covenant made with Israel when he delivered them from slavery in Egypt , that is not our covenant law , Moses isn’t our mediator or intercessor

the law is useful for learning things but it is not the truth of God it’s a blinder to the truth when people won’t let it go and be baptized into the new covenant

“And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭

there is a witness by Moses of Christ in the law of Christ but it has nothing to do with keeping the law it’s in fact apart from the law

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The law witnessed of Jesus in a figure but Moses witnessed of him this way showing christs words would be greater

“For Moses truly said ( deaiteroniny 18) unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me;

him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:22-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus is the one Moses told them they were waiting for even then that christs word would take precedent over Moses word .

there are two covenants each has its own law mediated by its own mediator they each have a purpose one does this

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

all the law can do is reveal mines sinfulness time them and hold them guilty and under a sentence of death

the other new covenant that is. It according to the old like he said , does this

“Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭13:38-41‬ ‭

the old covenant lead here because of sin

“The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭24:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that curse was written in thier law as the condition If they broke the covenant

Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:

And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:26-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:20‬ ‭KJV‬

I’m sure you realize they continually broke everything he told them to not do and repeatedly returned to worship of false Gods even using his temple to do so and the seven major highest hills of Jerusalem where they built altars to false gods and sacrificed to them all over Jerusalem and Israel

they chose the curse written in their covenant now Gods new covenant he has promised because they broke the first has come

We have a way way way better covenant

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭

Thier covenant is eternal but it’s a curse because of sin it’s what has cursed the earth to doom . The nreaking of thier covenant brought the curses of the law into the earth now we have salvation offered because it’s the kingdom. Of God that is being preached now not the mosaic law

The word fulfill means to complete something. Which is what I have been trying, unsuccessfully so far, to help you and a few others here see. The law is still in effect for those who put their faith in their works rather than Christ. If Christ fulfilled the law, what is there left to do?

There is no argument that the law illustrates the sin of mankind, however Christ is the way out of our predicament. He does not need your help or the help of any other person. You have broken ALL the commandments if you have only broken one. Perhaps you can look that up in the Bible?

You break His laws every single day. You have no idea how very sinful humankind actually is if you imagine yourself sinless. That alone, is a challenge to God and a lie. God will not destroy anyone whose faith is in His Son. You are misquoting the Bible and that is sin also. Trust in Christ. He alone is able to present you spotless before the Father.
What Christ did to fulfill what was prophesied of Him, and complete the sacrificial system was what Christ did those three days he spent. To complete something makes it ready for use, not something done, finished, to throw away.

So as you say, Christ fulfilled and made perfect the forgiveness we have in our sin. Before, the saints only slept, through Christ they are made alive to live with the Father. Matt: 27:52

For all we know, they were made for a woman ;)
I'm so tired of this "what are women allowed to wear" thing, people who are too bored in life or maybe think their stuff is all straightened up before God, giving unsolicited, completely baseless rebukes, and wanting to have say over us. They are not our husbands, or pastors. Who do these people think they are. Apostle Paul would've rebuked this, as meddling and totally disorderly. And also appalling at times, like telling me to go to a men's bathroom earlier, to see men's pants. Grossly inappropriate, I can't even respond to such conversation.

Do you mean trousers/jeans ?

jeans, pants, whatever. none is a sin.

and, when you get off your anti-Christmas high horse, you might want to acknowledge that you were born in a pagan named month on a pagan named day in a year of a calendar made by a pope.

so, yes Christmas has a lot of paganism.

so does your birth certificate .

I think this speaks loud enough for me
In the Western world, Historically, in that part of the world, women have worn dresses and skirt-like garments while men have worn pants (trousers). During the late 1800s, women started to wear pants for industrial work. During World War II, women wore their husband's pants while they took on jobs, and in the 1970s, pants became especially fashionable for women. Today, pants are worn far more often than skirts by women, and many women wear pants almost all the time.

Although trousers for women in western countries did not become fashion items until the later 20th century, women began wearing men's trousers (suitably altered) for outdoor work a hundred years earlier.
i wasn't mocking the question, i was clarifying that trousers/jeans were being referred to. i know women wear trousers at work, depending on what they do and where. women wearing trousers is more to do with domestic duties of the home. i have wondered myself, when i have a seen a man and his girlfriend/wife, why the woman is wearing the "pants" or trousers. of course, a skirt or dress may not always be practical.

No idea. I just thought the picture illustrated the point I was replying to; the guy is wearing contemporary, very comfy clothing, but the woman is expected to be stuck in 3000BC

i was just wondering, because muslim women here cover themselves as well. for this country, they should at least try to dress, like everyone else. thats not in a manner of "submission", but more to do with the culture here.

i don't care if you celebrate it or not, but don't bash others that do.

and you did not address what i said- you were born on a day in a month , both named after a pagan god in a calendar created by a pope.

if you do not celebrate Christmas, then don't have a birthday either...

When was pants first made?
The earliest existing pair of pants was found in China and dates to around 1000 BCE - within 1000 years of the time when it is believed horses were initially domesticated. These pants are constructed of wool with legs made of multiple panels.

What are you trying to say? Your rendition of the word complete is mumbo jumbo.

Jesus said 'It is finished'. Finished means done and done.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.
4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
He was in the flesh just like US,
And was tempted just like US.
He had to deal with over coming, just like WE do, THE BIBLE tells US SO.

Yeah dude. You are not and never will be sinless. That is total deception.

Do you think for yourself or just accept what you hear? Scripture does not back up this nonsense of sinlessness. What is the action of a High Priest in the OT? Once a year to go into the Holy of Holies for the sins of all the people. Jesus is our High Priest. The last and only sinless one.

Why do you suppose He is our High Priest? Is it to tell God how sinless we are? Think abit.

Saturday worship or Sunday worship are equally bad. Try to focus on the 4th commandment instead of arguing over Saturday/Sunday. Problem solved, for good.

There are A lot of BIBLE to back up what I said, Even YESUAH tells US.
John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

That is what YESUAH is working on US for, That We will become like HIM and quit choosing to, But be Like HIM and the reformers, like CHRIST THEY chose TO DIE rather then to sin,

If YESUAH gets us to where will not chose to SIN, Then YESUAH will stand for US in the Judgement, IF we don't come to OBEDIENCE. Then we will haft to bear our SIN, And the WAGES of our Sins is DEATH,

! John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Ezekiel 3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous [man], that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
.
Ezekiel 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, [and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked [man] doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

Are you 7th day Adventist Bud?
Why do people automatically label anyone who follows the Sabbath, a 7th day Adventist?
I do my best to follow the commandments as Jesus told us to do.
"If you love me you will keep my commandments"
I am not a 7th Day Adventist & I do not label them as a cult, which most self proclaimed christians do.
They are just another denomination & all are the works of satan to divide the Church

Some people have identified themselves as such ;)

In such cases, it is not an "automatic labeling" by others.
