Lord, I am so grateful for Your Sovereign leadership...Your reign. I do not fret what man can do, for the breath of him is in His nostrils. You have told us to not fear, to rest in You. You see..You know...and my focus remains on Your Holy Righteousness. You have given so much for us to be hopeful about.

Salvation will always be Yours Lord. Help us all to be more concerned with Your leadership in our lives than on anything else.

I was reading Luke 19, trying to understand the reference to You being severe in the parable of 10 minas.

I am not sure why it was so offensive to You that the person hid and saved rather than invested and made more. As I write, I think maybe it was the lack of trust in You. Perhaps, the mina could be compared to our salvation. When we use it and build on it, more is given. However, when we hide it, fearful of You, it can be taken because we don't fully trust the giver of salvation. I find it less than comfy to read that You wanted those that do not want Your reign in their lives to be slaughtered.

Hmmm, wait now… You are a kind and merciful Lord, but You are clear... You insist on our accepting Your Lordship in our lives to the point of giving our lives completely to You.

I am reminded that what seems to big for me to fully comprehend need not be a stumbling block because You are my Lord and You are good and know what You are doing...

I will just quiet my desire to fully grasp the thought of You being that severe, or even why that part of You is harder for me to accept. I am ashamed of my calling You out in my thoughts. I'm so sorry my Lord. Do what You will, however You will. It is not mine, everything belongs to You.

I just appreciate the good news of the Gospel so much!!!

Lord, thank You for all You have done, that You continue to do. I bow before Your sacred truth. You want us humble, to lean in and trust You, to apply Your mercy forward.

You have given so much...Your word, Your truth, breath, mercy, rest, provision, laughter, healing, work, salvation, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, hope, nature, friends and family. You have given Your Son, and He has given His blood. You have given us Yourself.

I know we all have different ways of serving You. I pray we please You, keeping You before us at all times. I pray we never grow weary of lifting You up more than anything or anyone. May our eyes be lazer focused on You and Your authority, so that we can remain in Your love. May we seek You first and foremost this day and every day. Loyalty is such a beautiful and honorable quality. Yes, another gift given from You.

I pledge my allegiance to You and only You.
