3 married guys have it on me. Everytime I changed the subject to their wives and family then I excuse myself and leave the conversation.

Is it just me, but for the people who have experienced the topic of the thread...

Doesn't it seem like these people also often act as if we should be FLATTERED by the attention? As if we're just so single and so desperate that we should be gratefully clamoring for any attention we can get.

I suppose it's just part of being one of the only Asians in a small white town, but from the time I was in junior high school, men my father's and grandfather's age were trying to hit on me. One of the things I hated so much about this is that they would always act as if I should swoon and be flattered by their attention. In their own minds, they seemed to think that they were sophisticated and had a little money in their pocket, and loved to throw that around.

A few years ago I worked in a situation where part of my day meant going to a certain stock room with only one small door right next to another department. The department manager was 20+ years older than me, and it got to a point where he would block the door so I would have to walk past him to leave the room (one time he reached out to run his hand down my hair as I had tried to leave.)

He was also getting bolder in his propositions, telling me that he'd love to "step out" with me on his arm (he already had a live-in girlfriend,) and then started persistently asking me to work for his department, promising that he would give me "anything" I would want.

I casually mentioned something to someone I trusted at the time, asking what they thought would happen if it got to where I had to call the HR department. My co-worker told me flatly, "Aside from the store manager, he's the highest paid guy here. He brings in more money for the store than all the other departments, and he knows it. You'd never stand a chance."

Fortunately, my job revolved around stacks of heavy merchandise, so I would build a barricade between him and myself every time I had to work in that room, and eventually, God moved me to a different place altogether.

I honestly felt sorry for his girlfriend, though I have a feeling he had a long track record of acting this way, and maybe she was already used to it.

Theres also funerals, baptisms and weddings.
Plus dealing with the pressures of life and some times having no one to really open up to..being at times wrongly criticised by church members for all kinda things sometimes....plus keeping a close relationship with God...maintaining a healthy family life at home...resisting temptation...it can be tough and not many people know what's really going on in their lives..

Seoul thats terrible
yes well unfortunately for any single young woman in her 20s in the workplace, (no matter what ethnicity) men are going to harass you.
And they may be rich and powerful men, married, attached, doesnt matter. Many assume they have the right.

It's not right.

what to do about it. well a lot of women wear rings even if they are not married or engaged, to indicate they are taken. So you can just show them the finger.

If that doesnt work and they are persistent, then what seems to work is prayer to bind demons!
The other thing is to leave that job. Dont put yourself into the situation where someone has all the power.
You shouldnt have to put up with it, Tell HR, tell management, and so what, someone may lose their job but they should if they are harassing women. It is better to work somewhere safe than have to put up with this. Then blacklist this guy.

Has anybody thats ever been hit on slapped the person's face just wondering. Or have you ever WANTED to do it?

Might be easier than calling the police....
Of course then your reputation gets ruined and you get called a 'slapper' but so what.

It's becoming increasingly common. Polyamorous relationships, open relationships, and flat out adultery.

In fact, it's becoming more common for women to be the adulterers.

As men have become increasingly less masculine, and are not leading their homes; Women are seeking those men that are. This has actually happened to me several times, and I have had women tell me this repeatedly.
