I agree with your estimation.
My very anti-2nd Amendment neighbor was upset with the pro-gun sign in my front yard. I suggested he negate my sign by putting up a "our home is gun-free zone" sign on his lawn. He never did.

And we know in the last of the last days the devil is pulling out all stops as he knows his time is near, the borderline demon possessed to do such a thing can be pushed over the edge.

I'm talking about defending my neighbors from rogue Governments, evadinging forces, and incase these crazy suckers do set off a civil war. Not just robbers and critters.
You're being foolish to think there isn't factions in our government who want to disarm us. There are more than a few who have said as much.
God can take care of that.

God gives children to us to nurture and guide, they are our responsibility and blessing. I can fully understand and highly encourage a man of the house to accept his role and prepare.

Yes, on our knees before the Lord in prayer.

The question is simple: does a Christian in the USA have an obligation to surrender weapons to an oppressive government?

This is not a useless question. The leftist government of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are clearly trying to seize weapons, and to impose restrictions that would allow for further seizures as they please.

My position is no, a Christian does not have an obligation. Americans have a covenant with those governing them. The rules by which they derive their authority are specified in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. One of the Amendments to the Constitution is the right to bear arms. This right was given to the American people to suppress a tyrannical ruler.

Now, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want to take away particular weapons, using the claim of "public health concerns". Supposedly, these public health concerns have to do with deaths relating to mass shootings by criminals.

Leftists are inconsistent, though. They promote abortion, which terminates the lives of 900,000 unborn children per year, for a total of 65 million deaths since 1973. Additionally, they promote the rights of individuals to engage in homosexuality, which results in about a million deaths per year, too.

So, if they are so concerned with shooting deaths, why aren't they concerned about abortion deaths or deaths caused by promoting homosexuality, which they support?

My position is that the leadership of this country ceases to be the leadership if they try to enact legislation which denies freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to assemble, and gun ownership rights. If they violate the covenant that enables them to be in control, they abdicate their position and are no longer in charge of the nation. I don't care how many leftists vote to seize these American rights.

What about you? What do you think about this? Are these rights a hill to die on? I think so.
I think it should be considered that if the means meets the end then the same goal is achieved.

Whether it's a direct attack with a show of force or a gradual erosion of rights and liberties.

They don't have to have a boot on the neck to oppress people: they can make it hard to buy food, clothing, shelter. Make it hard to be employed. Take defenses away.

The end is the same either way.

Any infringement on someone's assets that impacts someone's ability to pursue happiness and freedom is oppression.

Think "mother bear anointing" she may run from you in an encounter.
If she has her cub and anyone gets in between...she will kill you.

that same anointing is on every good mother,
But a single woman has no such mantle....She has no need for it.

Now think "corporate vs personal" anointings.

Corporate is a nation defending their soil.(Guns and armament)
personal is some single guy in an apartment and he can choose to go spiritual.

Apples and oranges.
that is why a nation can morally kill an evil aggressor.
It is the mother bear in a corporate dimension.
we can kill an attacker to protect our young or animals.

Your question has been taking off the tracks lol. That constitution was not written by just man but God and man. So do you see our rights going almost daily and then are any of those doing this being held accountable? No. If someone gives up their guns or not praise God.

Some things here said I would love to address but... I lol just can't say it with out making it long sorry. I will put this out there. Know who you are and whos you are. You have been given all authority over the enemy (that is not man). Now if Satan is some how in it.. you have all power over it. But the key to making this work is.. you have to walk by faith now your rights what authority you really have. Every promise in that word is yours. Have you been exercising your faith or God for bid do you seem to wait till something bad happens and then try to believe God?

Do you confess His word? Not talking about any group so please don't do that. Like if fear pops up what do you do? NO! God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. No matter what you see feel hear.. trust in Him. At first its like nothing happens.. you don't go by what you see or feel. You trust that no matter what you see what you feel GOD WILL ALWAYS keep His word! Doubt will always stop God <--its written.

Fighting there is was this man he was very old a few years ago when I found him as in hearing what he did. See he would walk ALL the streets of cities and all over the world and pray as he walked those streets. OH you should hear the awesome stories he had how GOD always protected him.. just WOW! See GOD told him to do that. NEVER go where GOD never sent you.

My point is.. there is a battle going on where angels are still fighting and we see those effects here. Israel is still standing why? Same with us in the USA. HAHA song playing "God will see me through every step I take". MUST have faith must believe no matter how dark. OT many of those battles GOD sent them into :)

Hate to drop this bomb on your head, but.... God can take care of them without your help.
:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Good thinking! Maybe I should abandon my family then?! God can take care of them without my help!

If we just say that God can take care of them, then what is the point of our existence?
Why bother going to work to provide for your family? God can take care of them without your help.
Why bother being generous to those in need? God can take care of them without your help.
Why bother defending the weak? God can take care of them without your help.
Why bother in the struggle of good v evil? God doesn't need our help.

Why do you persist in this nonsense? Do you just have some compulsive need to disagree with everything I say?

If we are Christian we will constantly be under His promise to conform us to the image of the Son, who only did what He saw the Father do, He only said what He heard the Father say.
We must, then, project His love, His caring, for each of those He brings us in contact with and more especially our own family whom He has given us charge over.

Perhaps we should just obey God and seek to do things His way rather than our own way. We so quickly forget the examples of men like Abraham, who was motivated by faith rather than pride. I have the compulsive need to agree with what God says in His Word. Its's not about you and me, it's about God and His will and His Way.

Romans
12:16 [Be] of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

There is no point in arguing with him. He is completely impervious to reason, rationality or thought, and even the scriptures.
