you do not understand the doctrine of infallibility. As I told one person here, if you want to understand the truth about Catholicism you can take a RCIA class, free in most parishes. I pray you don't get some liberal teacher .. sigh...

it's like anything else... sometimes you have to search for the truth... but it is there. However,

Anyone who knows the Bible can tell a true teacher of Christianity from a false one
If only they knew how few times a Pope has actually spoken from the chair.

Thats just not true.. For example You see the catholic religion as Christian.. As an ex catholic who read the Bible i thought all my fellow catholics would have to do is be shown the scriptures and they would all leave the evil catholic religion.. But no.. To my astonishment people reject the WORD of God and do their best to twist it to conform it to the doctrines of their church.. Some people are simply too loyal to their religous leader or their parents / community..
They are not rejecting the word of God, that’s a very arrogant way of looking at it. They are rejecting your interpretation of the word of God. There’s a huge difference. If they say I reject the word of God, as in they don’t care about it. That’s rejection.

I couldn't have said it better.

another thought on all this: Why do so many attack another Christian Church instead of attacking SATAN and his "church" meaning his followers, those who promote abortion and homosexuality... you know, like our fake president and his fake cabinet.. who stole the election...

last time I looked Jesus condemned going against the 10 Commandments

last time I looked, murder is still a HUGE sin... But the fake Catholic fake president... apparently loves abortion. We don't even hearthe words anymore about how abortion should be legal but rare... Nope... they don't want it to be rare.

I pray all women wake up to the deception... No one is saying anyone has to raise a child.. Adoption is not encouraged in this country to say the least. I know someone who gave up a child for adoption... all parties seem to be doing very well... and there is no massive guilt on the part of the woman.. no "Oh my God... I killed my child.." she has to live with for the rest of her life...

It really is sick how some people on here go after Catholicism. For all the disagreements people have with Catholics, what is undeniable is the Catholic Church does more charity worldwide and contributes to hospitals and schools more than any religion on Earth.

Do these charties include giving innocence back to the children raped by catholic priests whie hiding the rapists in the vatican? You really want to talk about what is sick?

Nobody thinks that is ok. Rape is not something the church tells people is ok to do. I read an article in the Houston chronicle about Baptist pastors abusing over 700 children over 20 years. There are terrible people everywhere.

I disagree. The pope allowing them to escape prosecution by hiding in Rome is condoning the behavior.

Right, I forgot that the Pope rounded up every pedophile and hid them in Rome.

Not enough to say an entire religious group condones rape, which is what you did
But enough to say your pope does. Many more were moved to a different country as well.

We don’t agree that the Pope condones rape. Think that if you want to. I like how you didn’t address what I said about the Baptist’s. Guaranteed I could find more if I searched for it. I’ll just start believing Protestants condone rape.

What became of the baptists? Who protected them from prosecution? Is it a contest of how many catholic priests vs christian ministers have raped children? You really want to go there? Ive shown that your " vicar of Christ " protects pedophiles and its a shame you try to defend him. Im done here. Enjoy.

Those Baptists raped children for over 20 years. Someone had to be protecting someone within that religious institution in order for that to occur. I could say Baptists condone rape on an institutional level based on that. But you don’t see me smearing all of them over that because I know it was those people and not all Baptists.

He is also The Mediator; and, He can handle it - He doesn't need any help. ;)

:)
Tell Jesus that.

He has given special roles to his mother, to the saints... Maybe God is trying to tell us that we need the help of our fellow human beings, now in Heaven... just as we need their help while still on Earth also.. Protestants seem to say that human beings have no value... in helping other humans get to their eternal destiny..

yet many protestants hang on every word one human being in particular uttered, as fallen a creature as he obviously was.

his own words show how fallen he was

Martin Luther

can't follow a man... gotta be Jesus only... yet they love the very-fallen Luther...

well, that would appear to be so... and yet often, their priorities in choosing whom to help... are questionable.

this is another thing that virtually only Catholics themselves know about... I have needed "charity" here and there and asking places like Catholic Charities.. got me nowhere.. which is partially on me bc maybe I didn't "push hard enough"? I don't know...

But it seems that CC helps foreigners more than US citizens... which... I hesitate to say that (sorta) bc again... maybe I just never pursued getting help... It is just a perception I have... which admittedly is not based on a lot of hard facts... just my own subjective experiences...

That said, I have heard complaints from other Catholics as well.. The Catholic Church in general... Oh, wait.. NOT a good way to say what I am saying

bishops and some priests in the church are apparently bending over backward to get along with the tyrannical STATE (located in DC)

you just have to be careful not to support things the Lord does not want supported..

98% of priests are never even ACCUSED of such, much less found guilty in a court of law.

Isn't it funny how 1.7 % of an entire group can make the whole world hate the other 98+ % of the group?

and yet Catholics, again, were hated in the first place... the priest scandal just added fuel to the fire, which delights the anti-Catholics most of whom probably couldn't care less about innocence lost...

Satan also hates the Catholic Church... just a thought... I know there are people of honest good will who have issues w/ the ... media's image of the Catholic Church... their pastors' distortions... But some people know of the good things in the RCC and attack it anyway... God knows who they are.. they know who they are..

Usually, however, it is Catholic priests (along w/ other Catholics) who can successfully EXORCIZE demons from possessed people. The story the Exorcist movie was based on is one example... The true life story was of a boy who was possessed. The parents had their Lutheran pastor attempt an exorcism.. but he finally got discouraged (the pastor) and said

"You'll have to take him to a Catholic priest."

whcih they did.. and it was successful (although i believe the possessed kid.. the demon.. physically attacked either the L pastor and/or the priest) It wasn't pretty... never is

Don't need to - He knows He is the only mediator between man and God.
@JesusWhereRU is not saying Jesus isn’t the only mediator between the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is our only pathway in that way. He’s saying it’s pleasing to God for us to be mediators in a lesser sense. The entire Bible makes it very clear God likes for us to mediate for him.

- Paul is blinded on his way to Damascus, how does God lift Paul’s blindness? He sends another Christian to lay hands on him to lift the blindness - Mediator

God used Peter to perform healing miracles - Mediator

God gave the Apostles the the ability to bind and loose and forgive sin - Mediator

Elders are asked to anoint the sick with oils - Mediator

I’m assuming you didn’t Baptize yourself or that Jesus didn’t come down in the flesh to baptize you? The person who baptized you was used as a - Mediator

When you ask someone to pray for you, you make that person a - Mediator

Every Prophet in the Bible relayed what God wanted his believers to know - Mediator

The High Priest was used by God to make sacrifices among many other things for God’s people - Mediator

Do I even need to list all the miracles God performed through Moses? - Mediator

I could go on and on.
