Supposedly high of 85F here today......
but it's already just before 7 a.m and a temp of 76, so somehow I have a feeling it is going to be hotter than what forecast says.

here as well, I heard 100 for the heat index, what ever that is. I am staying in and hugging my AC! lol!

We came real close to a cool front passing through last night, these large differentials between hot and cold can really bring dangerous storms, hail and such. I and we here have had great success praying away storms. Everything thing Jesus did is available to the believer.
bless you GG and all who come here.

Heat index is what the temp FEELS like. You know, like when you look at the thermometer and go "oh man. It's only 85!!!! Why does it FEEL LIKE 100!!!???"

On a side note,

Sooooo glad we're not going back to traditional (public) school in Sept.

(note: I had a REALLLLLY long paragraph or rants and raves about back to school shopping and the things on these list put out by schools and separate list put out by teachers...... and about how a lot of this stuff came home at the end of the year unused, or hardly used.........
I'm spared ya'll all the boring details and deleted it...............
okay, actually I got bored writing it, so that's why I deleted it........ that my wifi keeps disconnecting and just when I think I'm done I go back and read over only to find parts chopped off having to be retyped. insert eye roll emoji- which also messes up my emoji guys and wont let me use them without reloading the page, which makes all my unsaved stuff get deleted...... when it disconnects/crashes like this I am unable to use the save/delete disk icon in the tool bar too)

oh look...... I wasn't going to post all that back to school rants and rambles to avoid ranting and rambling and yet here I am ranting and rambling over something else. (eyeroll) me thinks me have been reading to many BDF/Conspiracy threads again, gotta rant about SOMETHING lol.

Hey GG, or anybody with a central AC, I have cut a register in the air in take to my basement furnace that I can open in AC season, if you ac is getting 20 degrees colling actross the coil, that is the difference between the air going to and come from the ac coil, when the basement 55 degree air goes over the coil it gives 35 or 40 degree discharge air as opposed to 75 inlet from the 1st floor living area cooling to 55 over the coil. Hubby will know what this means. This lets the basement which is cooler anyway, help cool the living area.

You can type all your posts in a word program and then copy and paste them here. That's actually what I do when I post a comment on a news site because their comments sections are always so busy that the typing gets delayed as you type.

What about saving as a draft periodically, or even previewing? @Godsgirl83

Boy, and my flesh is truly weak this night......sigh.....

Went fishing Monday morning, but by 10:30 it was about 88 degrees with heat index of 105. Had to leave. Did catch a good catfish, and a few wee Shellcrackers though. Still, I had a headache for hours after I got home because of the heat.

This evening, we decided to go just before sunset to beat the horrible heat. Todays index was about 110 at the Lake. We got there around 5:30, and there was a nice breeze. By 7PM, the temperature was 79 degrees and very pleasant given what it has been. The fishing was just ok. Again a nice catfish, and only 3 small fishies......

It is so very good to be able to once again enjoy the beauty of Gods creations. Spent far too long housebound!

God is good!
