I usually do, but when my wifi disconnects it wont let me use anything in the toolbar until I reload the page, and when I reload the page I lose whatever isn't saved. And I never think about highlight/copy/reload/paste until AFTER I'm done.

Oh well. If it's something REALLY important I save draft every few sentences, otherwise oh well.
Good morning friends... :)

GG, I am not entirely certain how the drafts work, but reloading the page should not be a problem, as whatever is written is still there even when you leave and return to a page, and the drafts are automatically saved, so it is not something you have to do (and I certainly did not mean to say save draft after page has frozen or internet lost etc LOL). The problem I have had is if my puter needs restarting? At least I think that may be what had caused me to lose my drafts  On a different laptop years ago I used to have pages "white out" at times, where they would freeze and I could do nothing (this was before drafts even) and I would lose whatever was written. Writing everything first in notepad or as a document to copy/paste over to the message boxes here seems a bit onerous but is certainly doable also :D It would take some getting used to, and if you wanna try that route I would suggest copying the message you are quoting as well, and maybe even the url of the page, so you can easily navigate back if something goes awry :geek:

I'm using a Chromebook (which I DO NOT recommend) so I have found A LOT of things that are not normally an issue on our HP or any traditional computer station have been issues on this thing.

but, not to big a deal. It's okay for web surfing.

I do not know what a chromebook is :giggle::whistle::giggle: I have been on a personal computer for over 21 years now and have almost always had HP with Intel ;) My first laptop was an ASUS 10" with a touch screen... my daughter had bought one new and loved it (she still has and uses it), so I got one second hand, and though it did not last long (some of the lower keys died making it useless!), I loved the touch screen and so have gone that route since. Oh my goodness I still have that ASUS and it is heavier than my current 15" laptop o_O:eek::oops::ROFL:

 hmm I thought it was this particular device I'm on, but after doing a search here I am learning that it is the system it operates on........
Oh, hhmmm, I have heard of chromebooks, just not familiar with how it/that system works ;)

Your link says: A Chromebook (sometimes stylized in lowercase as chromebook) is
a laptop or tablet running the Linux-based Chrome OS as its operating system.

yup, guess so.

It's a loaner, not mine. But I'm sure no fan of it, and now knowing more about it being the system that operates it (and not the device itself) I'll know better what to look for when I finally get around to shopping for my new laptop.

Some people swear by the Lynux system... prolly cuz Windows has so many problems, and is owned by Bill Gates. Lots also love their Apple products, though I have always found them very expensive! My own laptop, which has a terabyte of space (LOTS lol) running Windows 10, and touchscreen as previously mentioned, still sells for about 600 dollars :) It is the second one like it I have had, as the first one fell off my desk at work a couple of times, rendering my internet connection just about defunct (though I tried many things attempting to fix it, and NOW the internet on it works every time like a charm LOL)... this second one is also 15" though is lighter than its predecessor prolly partially cuz it has no DVD/CD player...

I have been told by my Doctor that drinking 4 ounces of Red Wine before bedtime will do wonders to help you go to sleep. He says that if more people did this, they would not need the various Medications they spend so much money on............. FYI: I can not testify that it works because in 1983 I promised God I would not partake of fermented beverages or alcoholic beverages again.

But, I do not criticize those who do partake. It is something you might try. It is also suppose to be healthy for you as well........
Same here although I made no promise. I decided in 1992 that alcohol consumption was something that I wasn't going to do anymore. I wanted to set a good example for my older brother who was an alcoholic and still is today. The regimen that you described probably is effective as a relaxation technique to aid in falling asleep. That in itself is a medicinal benefit.

Magenta has supplied todays daily dose of donuts so I better get the coffee going :coffee::coffee::coffee:
Hmm...that beverage looks like hot chocolate. Generally, I do coffee, black. Looks kinda yummy though. Gonna need some whip cream on top for sure sans cherry.

Copying and pasting from a word program is easy. Once you're ready to copy:

1. Press "ctrl+a" to select everything you typed.

2. Press "ctrl+c" (this copies everything that's selected)

3. Then go to CC, click on where you would type your post and press "ctrl+v" (this is the paste command)

Oh, yes, it is easy, but just a hassle if you to have to do it ;) LOL

I dunno.....
it almost seems easier than finding the just right giphy and clicking, copying/pasting  (the gif finder in toolbar doesn't always bring everything up, or takes to long scrolling through. I often find mysel using other gif finding sources.)

I don't care for the giphy thingy in the tool bar and just find my own images using a search image...

plus it bugs me how the image from those giphys enlarge when scrolled over LOL

They take up too much space :p

But it is time consuming, and then I often have to take them to an image host even if just to resize if they are too large, and even if they are from ipinimg, and don't need resizing? I have to copy he url to a doc and then copy and paste it back here or the url goes weird...

That may only happen in the Edge browser, which is what I use here...

Chrome does not work properly here (no toolbar options )

I use Brave for Netflix, and Firefox for my card game :D

I was going to offer you a donut to go with your coffee (in that other thread) but donuts being flat and round? In the middle of a set-to with a flat earther? Nah. And let's be clear: anyone who claims the Bible says the earth is flat is LYING :)

We can have our donuts here :D
