Minnesota student says teacher told her to hide 'equity survey' questions from parents | Just The News
"One question asked us what gender we identify with," revealed a student who was in fourth grade at the time. "I was very confused along with a lot of other classmates."

What's this world coming to? My brother called the other day. My 4th grade nephew came home and was very upset. He asked his dad if his mother would be kind enough to buy him tampons when he was old enough. Or would she be too embarrassed just as he would be?

Turns out they had a school assembly by grade for the last two days wherein the children were given an overview of human sexuality that included telling them that boys and girls menstruate. And, if any students attending were sexually active check with the school nurse to find out about options to stay protected.
These were school children from grades 1 to 8.

The world is fast tracking along the road to destruction. Expect nothing else, unless Christians are prepared to fight Satan and impose the victory of Christ on the world system. Australia is not exempt from this kind of problem. As an aside, this is why I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. While there are Christians praying and resisting Satan, he is not free to introduce the antichrist. We will see, obviously.

In addition, someone needs to tell teachers that there is a special place in hell for those who corrupt children. I doubt it would change anything, but you never know.

I agree most parents stay up past 10pm helping their kids do all their homework anyway,,,eventually it will dawn on them that helping their kids do their homework is home schooling and add the extra class,,,"morals 101"...

Homeschooling is an option but every state has different laws that apply to homeschooling. If you notice Minnesota requires that you teach your children the required subjects and prove that you have done so https://hslda.org/post/how-to-comply-with-minnesotas-homeschool-law https://hslda.org/legal/minnesota?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIno_p55CP8gIVNdSzCh1n5AV_EAAYAiAAEgKwavD_BwE unlike other states. So then even if you home schooled them you will be required to prove that you taught them the the same things you are disagreeing with. In short your children are required to be educated as Minnesota sees fit as long as you live there.

Ok. I'm in Oregon and homeschool. I still teach my kids about evolution, etc so they aren't ignorant of the "other side". Homeschooling doesn't mean you shelter your kids from opposing views. You can teach "required subjects" from the point if view as: "This is what the world teaches but the TRUTH is this..."

My 2 eldest kids are now taking online High School after years of homeschooling and I've taught them to give the answers expected by the public school while understanding the truth. Unfortunately, that's the way it has to be sometimes.

All that said, even if you have to teach required subjects, the parent has more influence than the school. Homeschooling is often the better option.

I would think invoking religious freedom would prevent the imposition of objectionable content being mandatory for a homeschooling religious environment.

Firstly, the idea of an "equity survey" itself raises questions. While it is important to gather data on disparities in education and other aspects of life, there is debate over what questions should be asked and how the data should be used. Some argue that a focus on "equity" can be used to push a particular ideological agenda rather than actually improving outcomes for students. Others argue that gathering data on issues like race and ethnicity is necessary to identify and address disparities.
Secondly, the idea that a teacher would instruct a student to hide information from her parents is troubling. While teachers are professionals who are tasked with educating and caring for students, parents have a right to know what their children are learning and what information is being collected about them. The incident raises questions about the role of parents in education and the responsibilities of teachers to be transparent about what they are doing in the classroom.
Finally, the incident highlights broader concerns about free speech and censorship. Some argue that the instruction to hide the questions from parents is an example of "cancel culture" and an attempt to stifle dissenting voices. Others argue that the focus on "equity" is a Trojan horse for left-wing political ideology and that parents have a right to resist this agenda.

If the majority of Christian parents were to pull their kids from public school and homeschool you better believe it will change things.

I wrote those reports and my homeschooling was far superior to anything the school did so they never messed with me. My kids read books. In a single week they could read about 500 to 1,000 pages depending on what grade we were in. As a result they would read 50-100 books a year. They were able to think critically, so if they had to read a book pushing CRT no big deal, I would get them a book presenting the counter arguement. If they thought socialism was a great thing I'd get them a few history books and few other books they could read to give them a more balanced understanding.

I don't believe anyone is going to force you to teach this gender garbage to elementary school kids, but even if they do have some book or lesson that is required I can easily let them see the issue from multiple angles. They could watch some Daily Wire or Charlie Kirk broadcasts.

A girl who escaped North Korea makes a very good point in a book she recently wrote. The fact that the situation in America is not "equitable" proves that you are free in North Korea it was equitable because they had no freedom to make any choices for themselves.

We know for a fact that children who grow up in single parent households are far more likely to have trouble with school, with the law, with drugs, etc. Is that question on the survey?

EQUITY

EQUALITY

people need to understand the terms before engaging in which came first. along the lines of which came first? the equity or the equality?

better still, perhaps not try to crowd everyone into the same sinking boat

Thats weird what schools is this
everyone knows boys dont menstruate! Usually in schools when they have the puberty talk its only done for grade or year 6 and the girls have their talk and the boys have theirs separately.

This school sound like its REALLY badly resourced if they do a talk like this at assembly for grades 1-8 lol

false teachers are everywhere unfortunately and it seems teachers training college doesnt pick up on them and call them out. It seems like just anyone can be a teacher these days and teach a bunch of lies.

the nz census asked everyone what they identify as, I just put HUMAN I think it was a stupid and confusing question as well. They also wanted to know how much money you earned and ethnicity and religion yes I get that those kinds of question are on every survey /census but those questions are just boring

Why cant the census ask interesting questions of everyone like...what your favourite icecream flavour or what do you REALLY think of govt services. Have you caught covid yet and were you paid to stay at home.Is your home (a) comfortable (b) too expensive or (c) what home, I live in a cardboard box.
