I appreciate fellowshipping Jesus Christ will others who love Him. I think of myself as polite, but I don’t fluff very well, nor do I care to for very long. God is good… so very good! ✌️

Thank you all for your kind welcome.
My wife and I were reading the scriptures together this morning. We were in the book of Acts and one of my favourite psalms, permit me to share just a verse or two. “ Who will rise up for me against the evil doers? Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul with soon have settled in silence. When I said, my foot slips; Thy mercy, Oh Lord, help me up. In the multitude of my anxieties (or my anxious thoughts) within me, Thy comforts delight my soul.“ Ps.94:16-19
Naturally, the evil doers spoken of here in Psalm 94, and the workers of iniquity refer to just about anyone or anything contrary to the will of God, and all that which does not glorify Him in this ever darkening world we live in. It may even be family who just don’t understand the choice and the stand we’ve made in following Christ. It may also be our peers at work who might think we’re just….. weird because we don’t talk like they talk or laugh at some of their jokes or don’t want to cruise the bars on Friday nights. It may even include some among the lord’s people, to whom we may seem….. different, over zealous, carrying this holiness thing a little too far, because we seek after, not legalism, but to make Christ Himself the standard by which we live, seeking to follow “in His steps”1Pet.2:21, however miserably we fall short of the mark. I think however, that the evil-doer and the workers of iniquity is all too often about the one that looks back at us in the mirror every morning. Certainly this is our default position, but for the grace of God. The word tells us in Jeremiah 17; “the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.” It also says in Isaiah 1; “From the soul of foot even to the head there is no soundness in it, but wounds and bruises and putrefying sores: They have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.” As vivid as this imagery is, I don’t believe it even begins to describe the full potential of the human heart for evil given the right set of circumstances, unless God keep it. Praise God for his all sufficient grace, his mercy that is everlasting, His freely given love that is unconditional, and his forgiveness, that for the the truly repentant is absolute, and dearly bought.
If I may be so bold, please remember me when you pray dear saints, that I might always let Him “perfect that which concerns me” Ps.138:8, and believe that “He who has begun a good work in me, and you, shall complete it until the day of our Lord Jesus.” Phil.1:6
God bless you and keep you “under the shadow of His wings”. Ps.17:8
Might we all be convinced that, “… faithful is He that calleth you, Who also will do it.” 1Thes.5:24 ✌️
